I'm beginning to setup the Renraku Arcology Shutdown in my group and I've started to "leak" emails on my group's discord server as if they're seeing posts on Shadowland BBS. Right now I'm manually having to type them out and replacing characters manually with various symbols to make it feel like the garbled messages from the video games. Does anyone know about a generator that would do something similar to the.

Technically the group's game is currently happening in February 2060, and I know it started on December 19, 2059 but from what I've read in the book the news has been a little quiet on what's going on.

There are various "Zalgo" text generators online which add random diacritics to text. Most of the effect does disappear when the text is highlighted, however, so it's more a graphical effect than a true scrambling.


I also wrote something that just replaces characters with random stuff a long time ago, maybe I'll find that code somewhere on my disk...
