"Ask the city what border security like for the sections of town we want to investigate. I've never been to Denver before, but I can only assume that just rolling across the border isn't an option."

Boingo gives Weasel a sidelong look, and arches a pierced brow. Here he'd thought he was hooked up with pros on this run. Then again, he is on this run, so maybe he shouldn't critique. When Sharp speaks up, Boingo looks, and nods.

`Sharp's got a point, the city's supposed to be fractured, means we'll be dealing with all sorts of different watches. Some of us don't exactly have squeaky clean covers for crossing ans such.`

Out of no-where theres a loud explosion from outside the motel room. Everyone rushes outside to see what the slag the commotion is. The van that they had very very recently aquired is now a smoking heap of metal and lead. The same yokel who delivered the van and his two cronies are standing a good 50 feet away from the wreckage watching Kirst and company.

"You know you just can't leave the gang Kirst and expect us to forget about you." He says, minus the accent. "But since we still like you and we doesnt want any harm to come to you, we figured we should give you a reminder of where your loyalties lie. An' I think were even now, don't ya think?"

Kirst stares at him from across the parking lot for a good minute or so wishing she could kill him with her gaze. Then she flips up her hood and walks back into the room. Soon she hears the engines of the choppers fade off into the distance once again. "Great. Now what." she mumbles.

"Well, looks like we have to rent a car."

'Anybody have Denver contacts? We probably all got some cash up front on this deal, if somebody knows somebody shadowy, we could throw that cash at fake IDs or maybe just one really good fake ID. Could be all we need to rent cars, get past checkpoints. "
Digital Heroin
Boingo clears his throat, partially because it's a bit frozen from the slushee he'd somehow been carrying amidst his munchies.

`I've got a fake, should do just fine.`

He doesn't mention the reason behind the need for the fake. Seems like it's a necessity in this trade, which suits him fine.
Steveshaft
"All right, good deal. You got any problems going out to rent us a van?"
Digital Heroin
`I've got no problem... well, aside from not knowing where the heck I'd go in this town to rent...`

Or in any town really, given there aren't many rent-a-car places in the Barrens.
Fresno Bob
"Excellent. You and someone go get us a car, and then we can scout the area."

Jackal clicks shut the small combination lock binding the zipper of his duffel bag to one of its straps, and looks up.

"I'll go with 'im."
Digital Heroin
A quick directory look up on the room's telecom, and a few queries to narrow things down, and Boingo grins.

`We've got a Mitsu-wagen Rentals four blocks away.`

He declares to the group.

`Looks like older models, bit of a dump, but that just means they're less likely to care about ID checks and such, neh? Whoever's coming with, let's go.`

He closes down the telecom, and heads off into the street.

The extablishment was once clean and pristine, but the floor has seen too many scuff-marks, the desks have seen to much of the elements, and the agents have seen too long in this crappy job. Everyone still wears a suit, but the suit is outdated and seems as if it were faded somehow.

A man with a bad combover greets his new customers with a weary smile.

"How can I help you gentlemen today?"
