Bastard
"Moving to Seattle five years ago in pursuit of new 'career opportunities' was a big change for me. The culture shock coming from the warm summer nights of central California Free State to the water logged streets of the Seattle sprawl is unexplainable. I used to spend my free time hiking around Hestaby's Mount Shasta, enjoying the beautiful sunsets and the infinite starlit nights. Now I am happy just to keep dry-at least Kane always has his coat with him. Thats not all true, I have grown fond of the neon illuminated darkness here, in fact the reflections off the water and oil coated roads are quite pleasing to the eye.

"After settling into my new city apartment, I contacted a friend-of-a-friend on the Lone Star force. He set me up with a few contacts that would provide some work for me. That's one thing the gritty underworld of Seattle offers-work. I took a lot of jobs in short period of time to get my name out there on the streets. It didn't take long before my buddy at Lone Star set me up with the almost-famous Gonzales. I had been in Seattle only a month and heard crazy stories about this guy---dealing with dragons-now thats crazy, and craziness is next to genius.

"Our first mission together was to take in this Azzie blood mage named Kano. Come to find out this sick frag had done some sick and crazy things-even by blood shaman standards. We spent a couple months tracking him down, and believe me when I tell you he left a river of blood behind him. Made it easy to track him, but he sure did move around a lot, so it took a while to catch up to him.

"Wouldn't you know we traveled all round the globe chasing this fool, just to end up in some warehouse in Redmond. It would have been a bit comical if this guy weren't such a bastard. We walked in on him summoning a blood spirit from a dead dock workers fresh corpse. Things from there seemed to fly at the speed of light-yet in slow motion-a sick feeling. Now I know why Gonzales hates blood shamans with a passion, Kano's filthy aura sickened me. I never encountered a blood spirit before, and with all the excitement, I think I put a little too much into it. I almost had to create a new spell to remove my astral boot out of that spirit's ass.

"I hardly had time to recover when I seen Kano going for Kane, who just happened to have a mouthful of the shaman's arm. Without thinking I dove to Kane's rescue, when I should have just stunbolted the fragger. Before I could get a spell off though, Gonzales had got the poor dolt with his Goo-gun (he hates it when I call it that).

"After that, I knew Gonzales had my back. A chummer like that could increase your lifespan quite a bit. Kane thinks hes ok, too, so since then we've been partners."

Questions to start asking yourselves and others:

1--How mobile do you want to be? Do you want to specialize in Seattle Flora and Fauna or do you want to have a wider range?

2--Corporate Sponsor or Independent team of like-minded individuals?

3--Critters that try to chew on you or a more civilized form of scum?
Kremlin KOA
Bastard: I like your take on it. It looks good, the goo gun thing is hillarious

Mcq
1: mobility is cool by me, Bastard has already written it into background

2: Prefer independant myself but if the others disagree I will not be too upset

3: either or, in char Gonzales prefers urban hunts to otherwise but as a player I have no preference.
toturi
McQ or any who is interested and has a UCAS Spec Ops background, perhaps Grave can be a friend of your character except that he doesn't know it, simply because he doesn't recognise you.

1) Do we have a rigger? I do not mind specialising in Seattle but occasionally going off to exotic locales to bring back a bounty.

2) I prefer if we are working for Draco, but it all will depend on the type of relationship we have with our sponsor.

3) Revenant is good at both, so no problems there.

1. Either way works for me, I guess. Helios's shadow weapons would need some smuggling across borders, but I guess I can cross that bridge if we come to it.

2. Independent, definitely.

3. Critters that try to chew you, bite you, AND turn you into one of their own are my speed cool.gif
Bastard
Thanks Kremlin--you didnt like the astral boot?

McQ--

1/I want travel personally---gives you more options--making the game more fun

2/I like being free-lance--again leaves you more options
Maybe we can work for a couple of companies often, but not exactly on their payroll.

3/All of the above, JT would prefer the wild, but fully capable (being an ex-piggy) of the urban hunt

I thing the more field we cover the more creative the runs can be

I'll be submitting Bishop. He is an ex Merc, specializing in Tactics. Anyone that can get BattleTac gear would be very cool, as it makes my tactics rolls much easier (therefore giving you a bigger bonus). If you have 30k nuyen and 0.2 essense to spare, get yourself a BattleTac Cyberlink, that would be the best. He uses pistols as a sidearm and a SPAS-22 with a underbarrel grenade launcher as his assult weapon. He can also act as the groups Face, with ettiquette 5 and negotiations/bargin 4/6. Not much is known about his history, he is very new to the bounty hunting scene and doesn't seem to know anyone (hung out to dry). He doesn't talk about his past at all, but you get the feeling he is running from something. Every now and then you'll catch him staring at a church for a long time and you'll have to give him a shake to get him going again.
Bastard
how do we know him ecc?
Ecclesiastes
I'm working on that. He needed work and may have approached you to join the team. We can work it out I'm sure though.
Bastard
on page 2 Kremlin has his contacts under his spoiler---

Maybe you can use one of his contacts as your own
Ecclesiastes
Your character wouldn't know this, but as out of character info, Bishop just went AWOL from some people that will be looking for him, so he broke contact with all his old contacts, hence my reason for taking Hung Out to Dry.

1. Mobility, well I have no problem with that at all. Seattle Flora and Fauna is good but willing to travel.

2. My history plays on Corporate sponsor and very little Independant Team. But there is a good option for Independant Team. More like a new venture.

3. Chew on type I am ready for, but I gather civilized will also work if they are hunted. Snooping is not a strong point. Strong point is take down, maybe body guard.

Kremlin KOA
possibility 2 first time or second time out on a bounty in seattle you happen to be hunting the same target as one or more of us, and everyone decides to split the prize rather than kill each other.
Johnson
Sound like a good plan for the Independant Team. An open bounty lead to the teams establishment
BishopMcQ
Well the call is going out...

Bishop--Eccy

Edana--Sparky
Gonzales--Kremlin
Grave--Toturi
Helios--HMHVV
JT--Bastard

I'm bringing the eight of you on board. Start comparing notes in the OOC Board that I set up.
Johnson
