I got to browse the old ED Horrors sourcebook and I got a real kick out of the entry about Verjigorm and the birth of the Name-Giver races. I think I read here once that that story may not have been true, but I just wanted to make sure. Does anyone know the origins of that story, since Icewing IIRC is supposed to be Dunky, the guy who tells the story. But, as I remember, Dunkelzahn is not old enough to remember stuff from THAT far back. So, any takers?

Icewing is not Dunkelzahn. Icewing is believed to be Ghostwalker, his brother.

They were very careful not to ever confirm/deny the exact origins of Verjigorm or the rest of the namegivers as a whole. The story in horrors was given more as a possible explanation, but there are several others listed in different ED books as well...
