Cinder sends a subvocalised, scrambled, message over to nerd. "You might want to ask Mr Johnson about his enemies and a little more about the Mitsuhama angle. Japanacorps will usually hire the male first, even if the female is better. Then again, I could be wrong, what do I know about such things."

The lady and her friends walk back into shadows, as John Jones and his friend walk back into the bar slowly. He slowly closes thew door behind him and radios in. "Game's not over yet, her men are deployed in a ready position, and she's driving herself home. I've got half my team getting her, while the rest are here in the bar to help with the fight. there are three pairs out there coming in through different directions and the other 4 are out there somewhere. Keep your eyes out, we gave them a warning, now it's hunting season."

The Nerd had half-expected that. Too much testosterone/progesterone in the air for it not to come to this. He smiled a half-crooked smile, knowing he could die in the next few minutes... or make quite a buck.
"Ok ladies, it is weapons free, repeat weapons free. Switch to EX EX if you have them, as this is no time for gel. Rip, make good use of your hardware, and Sabosect, if you have any friends with you, they will get to play soon, very soon. And Rip, if you can, find the other four bogeys. We want no surprises from them."
He then turned to the window, with his eyes peeled for the enemy, his weapon at the ready, and adrenaline starting to kick in. He made sure no one was seeing his lips when he replied to Cinder. "Will do Cinder, will do... as soon as we get rid of the bogeys. We don't want a corp to be on our tail without due reward, do we?"
No one knew why the Nerd used 20th-century merc lingo, but the team had gotten used to it. And since there were not many left who remembered that way of talking, it usually took the enemy a few seconds to understand what he was saying. And those precious few seconds could be, and had been, a life saver.

"I have a dancer ready to enter the parade and a ball aimed for the pins. I expect to be rolling strikes tonight. Tell Jenny I said high and I expect a mallard on the table tonight," Sabosect replied.
He smiled. He had just told Nerd he had a spirit ready, was going to use his ball spells, and that he wanted them to stay out of the way. Anyone listening would be even more confused by the coding. After all, don't teams use the same method of speaking? The fact this one did not had managed to save lives in the past.
Going back to watching, Sabosect waited until Rip identified one of the other groups. He would send his little pet their way for it to play with them for a few minutes. However, he was also cautious to not give away their game until the trap was ready to spring.

I'm lookin. Be careful everyone, that bird in the sky means there's likely another Rigger out there somewhere. Rip says, while studying his sensor feeds.
He thinks for a moment, and then comes to a decision. His Condor begins to gain altitude and drift away.
Bringing in a bird with a bit better eyesight he says.
Plus he wanted to get his Condor out of the way. He switched his Perceptions into his Strato-nine, and began to fly back down the alley, staying as close as possible to the side of the building wall where it had been hovering. He kept going for about 3 blocks then suddenly climbed, shooting up into the sky. He brought it back around towards the bar at high speed, looking for any sign of opposition forces.
Although he didn't realise it, he strated to grin as the drone began to pick up speed.

The Nerd processed all the information coming from the rest of the team. Barring a very nasty surprise, they were as ready as they could be. He subvocalized his thoughts in the team's secure frequency.
"Sigmund, I'd wait for the first mosquito to buzz, and then do your thing. The distraction caused by that may be useful to us. It may distract the bogeys for a second or two, and that will be well worth it. But if you see anything that deserves swatting the fly before then, do so. Your judgement up there will be far better than ours down here.
Rip, thanks for the bird. Just make sure your toys do point their sticks in the right direction. But try to start playing with them in concert with the other kids. eh?
Sabosect, send the dancer into the dance floor when the first mosquito buzzes, and it's your call on when to go bowling.
As for the rest, ladies, you will know when to enter the dance floor. You always have. Let's just wait for the best moment to enter the party."
The Nerd much preferred merc-lingo, but he switched to Sabosect's code easily. He would switch back and forth between the two to keep any eavesdroppers wondering, if they had been able to burn through their ecms, that is. The buzzing mosquitoes were, of course, flying bullets, and the fly was the enemy flyer. The idea was to start shooting at everything at the same time, not one sector/team member at a time. The enemy knew they were there, and there were still enemies unaccounted for, so the best would be to throw as much volume of fire as possible, trying to get things over with in as little time as possible, once the first bullet flew.

If those on the roof concentrate hard enough, the pairs seem to have gotten into alleyways, right near the bar. They seem to be holding for a signal. Soon, all are cut off, and it is difficult to get through to your teammates over regular airwaves. The extra condor can be seen very high up here and there, uncertain as to where it's going, but it just seems to be maintaing surveillance of the area. Soon here burst firing outside and bullets smashing through the glass of the bar, luckily the armored wall on the inside held as a Pat Pat Pat is heard in it. After that the 3 pairs seem to rush to the main entrance of the bar, at full speed.
(OOC: I need Initiative please - 6 bogeys are coming in diferent dfirections all about 150 meters from the door.)

Sabosect cussed heavily as he saw the action. He sent a mental command to the spirit to have it attack one of the enemies, pointing at the one closest to him. He then began to think of what spell he would use, worried about using area spells for fear of endangering his companions. After all, he didn't need to damage them as well.

Sigmund's assault rifle blazes out like the crack of doom itself, eight rounds merging into one continuous report as he hits the Condor spot-on. He smiles with the satisfaction of a job well done as the rounds hit a split second later with a sound almost as deafening, music to a destructive maestro's ear.
"I love my job."

The Nerd judges the distance between the closest target and his current position. It is out of his effective range with his weapon, so he decides to wait. He aims the crosshairs of his targeting system on the incoming bogey with the most dangerous-looking close combat weapon and waits until he judges his target is within 40 meters. Then he'll open fire.

Rip's Strato-nine zips down the street at high speed, just below the roof line as he searches for targets. There is another riger out there somewhere, and he expects to see a combat drone of some sort engage him.
Not seeing anything, he aims at the figures rushing the bar. The drone shudders slightly as the gun fires, a quick three round burst at the closest target. He keeps going, flying further down the street, where he spins the drone around to come back for another pass.

Cinder fires from extreme range at p1 and hits his target, the man seems to stagger abit, but otherwise continues running in. The street rings out with gunshots again as a 3 round burst tags cinder who is in partial cover with his hydrant (base 10S make dodge and soak rolls). meanwhile the condor begins to dive down towards the bar. Rip's strato-9 comes flying in and without seeing a real combat drone, takes aim at the lead figure of p2, who goes down and falters to his knees barely getting up after the strato-9 flies over his head. The pair of people in p3 all fire smg shots at the roof at full auto. Noone seems to have gotten hit, but lots of dust and debris fly everywhere.
Soon, u hear sigmunds gun fire out at the condor ripping it up, but not destroying it, as it continues to fly. although in a bit of a non-straight pattern. Next, p3 comes in and starts shooting the roof again, as you can see the gunner for jones' team takes a hit in the arm but is stll functional, and a burst of SMG fire comes flying in and clips Sigmund (9S base). Jone's men seem to be holding their fire and waiting for something, as all of them are taking aim or standing ready behind the door.
edit: didn't feel like making another post

Sigmund rinses, lathers and repeats: shrugging off the SMG burst as it caroms off his titanium collarbone and Kelvar-padded shoulder of his coat, he fires off another single shot at the offending pair and a second burst at the Condor.

The Nerd keeps holding his fire. The bogeys have started to fire their SMGs, but he will hold until they get within 40 meters. He keeps aiming at one of the bogeys from p1.
This is somewhat like playing chicken. Whoever starts firing too soon just spends ammo, and lets the enemy know where he is and what type of weapon he's packing, whereas if you wait until the right time, you can get a nasty first burst in... if you are not downed before then, that is The Nerd liked to make mental notes for an eventual runner's manual he wants to write... when he's old, rich, rich, rich, and retired.

The burst is a solid hit...

That's all there is His instincts and training have taken over. Cinder will return, when it is safe for him to be here. In the mean time the Ork street monster will cover for him.

Sabosect smiled, using his goggles to see with. He targets what he hopes is the enemy group and begins to chant, feeling the power of his magic flowing, filling, and bending to his will. The ancient phrases he chants in he keeps just below his breath, not wanting to alert any visitors of the astral nature to what he was doing. Then he felt the mana leave as the powerball he just unleashed headed to strike its targets: the enemy group attacking the bar.

Only the intervention of the Great Ones, the PLAYERS that define his reality, can salvage the situation now...
