What I wanted to ask the friendly folks here was if anybody of you knows of a free little CAD (computer-aided design) proggie that I could use to map out the matrix systems for my adventures? As soon as those octagonal CPU/SPU icons have to be drawn, I'm ending up with pretzels.

Try this program AutoRealm. I know it is a map maker, but give it a try.
