Appearence:
His face pleasing but somehow generic, James' build is about average- his movements, bulk and manner give little clue to the incredible strength or agile mind that lies behind the facade.
Personality:
Careful, subtle, intelligent and meticulous, James is typically of the 'if a gun is fired, the run is hosed' school. However, he knows that he can equal all but the most heavily-cybered individuals in combat while remaining orders of magnitude subtler, and he's not afraid to utilize that ability.
History:
Formerly just a talented Seattle street punk with a talent for killing people quietly, James' life changed forever when he pulled off an unbelievable scam involving the early days of the Draco Foundation, a botched spell formula which corrupted astral signatures, and a bum in a toxic shaman suit. He had some cosmetic and genetic mods done along with the implantation of a truly incredible amount of bioware and promptly fled to Denver to become a professional shadowrunner and ensure it was too late when the Foundation twigged.
Since then, he's acquired a formidable reputation as a shadowrunner who can keep things out of the headlines even when things go seriously wrong, and generally as the man to go to if you need someone strong and fast as a street samurai who won't set off every metal detector and, eventually, police radio within a mile.
For whatever reason, he seems especially eager to take hits on Saeder-Krupp- close companions have gathered that it has something to do with a girl of his who was killed in a chemical spill, but he doesn't talk too much about it. They encounter a similar wall when he's asked where he learned to play the sax or what he did before he was in his teens, but it seems to have to do with the same thing.
Bioware effects:
+4 to the Power of all diseases, drugs, or toxins to resist: -1 die on Resistance tests
+4 to all healing TNs: -1 die on Healing tests
-2 to Physical Overflow
I'll get into the swing of this as soon as I have time to catch up on the backlog.

About ruthenium and scanners... the cloak (or suit) starts with a modifier of +4, then you can add scanners for +1 each. The total modifier can be +12... doesn't that mean that you could have only 8 sets of imaging scanners?

Edits AWAAAAY!
Weird thing is, I only budgeted and meant 8 scanners, I just got confused with the +12 total modifier.

The Ruth-suit comes standard with 4 scanners, which gives it the initial +4. Adding 8 more scanners gives it +12.

Oops, I forgot to ditch the stealth chip when I made it an active skill. Fixed that. As for the IC posting, it's your game Boss. Especially if you want to get certain things into the story, I want to see them (or if for story purposes you want this to go in a certain direction). I thought it would be a good way to get to know the players, and any input you give to it will add to the understanding of how 'our' Denver works.

Hmmm, my other 3 comments seem to have gotten deleted in the posting.... we'll try again.
Toptomcat: You sure you want only 4 skills? No Athletics, Unarmed, or any other common skills?
Gremish: I'd recommend taking Influence instead of Control Thoughts, seems to fit better with a "mess with their mind" theme I'm seeing. Also, since you roll 12 dice with Imp Invis, averaging 6 successes, even your super Intelligent self wouldn't see you most of the time, the Int 3ish guards never stand a chance. Taking a Force 5 Imp Invis is (and I always take it at Force 5 for this reason) just to make it harder to dispel, over a thousand times harder. Curiosity, why have Sustaining Foci at a greater force than the spells they're used for? Lastly, same question as to Tomtopcat. Only 4 skills?
BackGammon: I recommend losing the CyberPhone. with a Transducer and a datajack, you can do the same thing and save tons of essence/cash.

Character looks good Fortune. I honestly have no negative feedback at all on Gypsy. Looks like a character I'da made myself (even the "personal" spells are ok with me). The only possible advice I could offer is to drop Quickness by one, since it doesn't do you any good with an 8 Intelligence (Ie: No reaction bonus). But figured you had it for theme instead of numbers.

Tevos sees the plaza from the astral as a swirling mix of colors, and flavors and sounds. He focuses back on two somewhat fimilier auras, and their guardians. Not important right now. he thinks. Tev relocates behind a planter, and gets a very good look at the suddenly very alert goons. They all showed the tell tale smartlink of a professional, but the mild haze near major muscle groups is what concerned him. Boosted, llllovely. He follows their gaze directly to an aura he knows well, noticing the shifting colors that are Jack fighting to keep his composure. Suddenly something happens, as the area all of the sudden tastes a bit spicy. Tev wonders whos drawing all the attention, until its obvious that jack is jumping. The guards seem to take the by, as they relax, and the ambient activity level returns to normal. Mr Tiahualpa and his companion seem to have finished, as they both rise, shake hands and depart. Gabrial in the direction of the metro rail, our target with goons in tow, down the other end of the plaza. The watchers all follow Tiahualpa, hopefully the elemental as well. Tevos's watcher suddenly zips into view. "Someones at the door, someones at the door" The watcher relays that he is past his check out time. Tev speeds back to his meat body, with a rude banging on the door. "Be out in a second" he keys the radio and whispers "Goons are boosted, smartlinks, following our target. Im going on site shortly."[/i]

Skills comment:
It's cheaper Karma-wise to have a few high skills at chargen and expand later than to go broad-based in the beginning.
IC continuation:
(Subvocal mic) "Rodger that."
Grinning, James stepped down from the hotel band's stage and put his sax into a case, waving to the enthusiastically applauding patrons.
"Such a pity Greens couldn't make it, guys, and it's been a privelage to jam with you, but I gotta run. The, ah, temp agency will bug you for my share later."
With that, he exited the room at a jog, slowing down only to remove the tranq patch from the neck of the band's real saxophonist where he's stashed him in a broom closet and to withdraw his Alta from a false bottom in his sax case. Slowing to a walking pace as he leaves the hotel and stowing the Alta in a pocket of his blazer while throwing his ruthie cloak over his left arm, James gets ready to dissapear at a moment's notice but is content just to look like a patron leaving for now..
(Subvocal mic)"Any senseware?"

Ok, last comments for those of you that have posted. Gremish, Fortune has a point, you'll never really use Death Touch. You might consider changing it to 'Ram', excellent spell (and would be very useful in our current game).
Tarantula and ES_Sparky still haven't posted on here, so I'm almost ready to assume they aren't going to be active enough for the game. They definitely don't have enough time to fix/adjust and get a start on the RP before the game starts.... (Ie: Better get some butts in gear)

I'm not sure I'll fit in here. I'm really excited about the game and the challenges it sounds like Sphynx is going to be throwing at us... but if the fact that I don't feel the need or have the time to post every little tinker that I make to my character means I'm not 'active' enough, well, maybe I'm not.

I think that Sphynx was just looking over this thread, and let the fact that you posted your character in the recruiting thread slip his mind (it is more or less defunct at this point).
Sphynx
Jan 4 2005, 09:26 PM
ES_ if possible, get your character posted here so we can go over it some. I'll look on the older thread, but I kinda consider that thread closed. Also, I've asked for some IC posts so I get a 'feel' for the characters. The story will begin with me telling a really long story (huge ass post) in which I will assume your characters persona until the part of the story is reached where I wish it begun. Without some IC posting, I will, quite possibly, falsely portray the character personality.

Not asking for posts after every small change, asking for posts IC (and at least one post on here with the character please).

I'm sorry sphynx, but since you suggested that I remove the wheeled vehicles/drones that I had, which happened to be where a majority of my ¥ was sunk, I've been frantically scratching up different drones, custom(micro and mini only) and modified stock. Karl Clark, Decker. A friend from school, Ana and Karl made nighttime runs on campus, breaking into campus facilities to set up elaborate pranks and cause general mischief. Karl is a year from graduating… still. He’s a perennial student. Ana has him keeping an ear to the ground for news of her uncle.
Dr. Cook, Street Doc/Shadow Shrink, specializes in post-traumatic stress counseling and rehabilitation. He travels from town to town in an inconspicuous, but ridiculously well-appointed, RV. This is the doctor that counseled Ana after the explosion and performed most of Ana’s rehabilitative surgeries.
Background:
Running in the shadows is a family business. At a young age Ana and her older brother Andy were sent to live with their 'more settled' Uncle Frank. Frank moved them around a lot. It was in Ana’s early teens that the family, her brother and uncle anyway, moved to central Texas. Steeped in the shadows, an eager to please kid, Ana couldn’t wait to start doing runs with her uncle and older brother.
Without the knowledge or consent of her uncle, Ana tagged along on a couple of ‘easy’ jobs with her brother. One of them nearly got them both killed – a simple courier gig that went horribly wrong when the convoy trapsed over a corner of Azzie controlled territory. Andy barely got Ana back to safety in time to save her life, and not soon enough to save her arms. An explosion during the attack had blown them both clean off. Her brother is still wracked with guilt over the incident.
Uncle Frank spared no expense rehabilitating his niece with the best cyber- and psychotherapy nuyen could buy - Dr. Cook. She still finds herself terrified of explosives, even simple fireworks - and explosions, explosions can render her a mute, terrified and useless bundle of nerves – but she enjoys tinkering with her heavily modified cyberarms. And she really enjoys what her gear allows her to do – sneak, sabotage and scout.
Bankrolled by questionable funds, Ana took a break from the biz, to enroll at Texas A&M&M. She studied half a dozen subjects from Architecture to Gymnastics, and Chemistry to Engineering. She threw herself into her studies and school, though she never graduated or really even came close to following a degree plan.
When Andy came to her with the news that he had tracked down one of their siblings, she was really excited... they were not prepared for that sibling to be Ana’s identical twin. The three had a tearful reunion in Liana’s hometown. And now all those vague memories of Ana’s imaginary ‘mirror friend’ make so much more sense.
Uncle Frank sent a message to Andy and Ana (really Leola Faustine Addorlorata Fichetti) telling them to stay in Denver, that he’d join them there soon. He never showed up. That was over a year ago. Ana has done some work with a tight-knit group that Liana has been running with. They’re a polished and dangerous team and Ana respects them a lot and realizes that these folks are the real deal… not two-bit smugglers or thieves.

For IC: Which target are we following, the killer or our unknowing informant? I assume the former as we wouldn't want to apprehend our golden goose.

Slinky leaned across the center console of Andy’s truck and paused, artfully considering the placement of a spit-wad sized paper pellet in her brother’s hair. Yet another reason not to Rig. Or Deck. She grinned wickedly as her unnaturally steady hands hovered and with last flourish dropped the final piece into place.
“Fini’” she announced, as she admired the large white dander.
Chuckling to herself, Slinky leaned back into her seat, glancing at her brother’s slack face, at the lead just visible under his hairline. She shook her head and turned her attention to the now-tattered bag that held their hasty breakfast. Ugh… I really should eat this… Andy hates it when his truck smells like taquitos.
The team was moving smoothly. Slinky had enjoyed coaching The New Guy, Slinky still thought of him as The New Guy, on his Texas accent – no, no, you’re not ‘fixing’ to go, you’re ‘fixin’ to go – it was a good session. And she and Andy had been able to convince the lot of them that he didn’t need a cowboy hat to pull off the disguise. How long would that stereotype persist?
<<Goons are boosted, smartlinks, following our target. I’m going on site shortly.>>
Slinky’s ears perk at Tevos' voice over the transmitter. Time to move out. The tiny girl checks her gear, hands flickering and whirring over a selection of hidden compartments and pockets. She extends her right index finger and a small needle gleams. A tiny opening aperture irises open and she thumbs two small pill-sized pellets into the opening, with a faint click it seats and the aperture closes. One buffalo tranq on the way. She looks up and spots a Ajax – one of Andy’s mini-drones hovering outside the window. It whirs impassively, hovering as it studies Andy’s unconscious form. Uh-Oh. I’ll just be going now. The girl quietly cracks the door open and slithers out onto the ground. A peck on her neck as she shuts the door. Drek, caught red-handed.
She turns and straightens, staring at Ajax’s camera eyes. She puts her hand on her hip, “Save it Sleel, our mark’s on the move.” The mini bobs and zooms away, pausing to bob again. Oh, duh, he’s already on it. Slow today. She swings the checks the straps on the ragged satchel that holds her gear - including a very tidily stowed, brand-spanking-new ruthenium cloak – and trots off after the speeding mini-drone.

Dogma had retreated to "the rear lines" of the operation and was quietly eating a Fu Dragon Meal from McChu's Chinese Fast Food. He'd taken the traditionnal food box to-go and was eating it on a bench a few blocks down from the Hotel.
His phone rang, indicating a call from Pixel. Dogma chuckled a bit and mentally incremented Pixel's score. This was a little game Dogma played with his contacts. He kept a running tab of which of them came back to him the fastest with the info he asked of them. Good little Pixel was on fire these days, this being the 5th time in a row she "won".
<<Hey Pixie>> mentalized the elf.
"Pixel" corrected the girl, as always. "That azzie boy you sent me is something else. Not much on him. No official records anyway, looks like we got a shadowrunner. All I can you is the proverbial word on the 'net. Aztechnology corp man, multi-disciplinary. Slick and covert, wetwork, infiltration, etc."
<<Already knew that, Pixie. You're behind my employer's info feeds. And he's not Corp, he's governement Intel.>> Dogma chewed a mouthfull of noodles.
"Oh, fine then. How am I supposed to compete with your employer, huh? You could at least say 'thank you anyway Pixel, good job as always Pixel'"
Dogma could see Pixel's mock pouting in his retinal imae link. She was being cute again. Dogma had to smile a little at the girl's playing.
<<Uh huh.>>
"GAWD you're so hard to please. Ok, how's this then: goes by the alias 'Dedos' and he's here to kill one of Azzie's own informants who the Azzie's think has been tagged"
Dogma nearly spit out the food he was chewing.
<<HOLY SHIT>>
"What?"
Dogma muted the transducer's thought-to-voice function a second too late. Shit, if he was here to take out Gabriel, that'd set back counter-Azzie intel efforts for months! Hmm, but then again maybe this Dedos was just meeting with Gabriel to gather info on his mark, another Azzie agent. In which case, if the team played their cards right and stayed one step ahead of the assassin, they'd be able to tag another Azzie operative and extract valuable informaiton out of him.
<<Ok thanks Pixel. Payment transfered. You're the best>>
Dogma cut the communication on a cutely smiling Pixel. He then quickly opened a multi-channel comm session with his teammates and HQ, relaying what he'd found out.
<<...And so it's my opinion that Gabriel is most likely not the mark, and that we can shadow the assassin, thwart his mission, and bag ourselves his intented target and debrief him. Hell, he'll probably cooperate too when he finds out his governement is trying to kill him.>>
"Hmm, interesting. Good work, Dogma." Came the slick "Lilt" voice. "Combat agents, continue as planned with our pick-up of Gabriel. Recon agents, begin shadowing this Dedos assassin. And keep an eye out for those suits, we still have null intel on them except that they're chromed up. I'm sure they're not here for tea."

<"Now things are getting interesting. If he's a professional, he'll notice me if I tail him looking like this for long, so I'll have to lose visual for a moment. Somebody keep an eye on him, help me reacquire him if I lose him.
As a side note, have our boys check Gabriel out for slow-acting poisons or the astral sig of a delayed strike, just to make sure he wasn't Dedos' original target after all.">
Turning a corner and then into a secluded alley, James tucked his saxophone behind a Dumpster and threw the ruthenium cloak over his head, all without slackening pace, and emerged on the other side of the alley just as the Dedos assasin emerged on the other side of the building.
<"Right, I've got sight of him again.">
Staying in front of a brick wall to give the ruthie cloak an easy pattern to duplicate, James begins shadowing the target...

OOC: Just to clarify, the base plan was to follow Gabriel, ID who he was meeting with, and then tail the other guy, subduing him when he'd gotten far enough away that his takedown would not seem linked to his meeting with Gabriel.
IC: Jack froze in midstep as the orders came down the line, taking a moment to reassess the situation based on the new data. Two of the awakened team were being sent to keep an eye on Gabriel and make sure that he made it out with his hoop intact. Lilt told him to maintain a close tail on Dedos. If it looked like he was going to break contact, the team was to take him down immediately with whatever force nessacery. They couldn't afford for him to slip survelliance.
Jack stepped into an office building, ducking into the bathroom in the lobby. If Dedos saw the amerindian salariman again, he'd know he was being tailed. Sitting down in a stall, Jack pulled out a pocket mirror, darkened his skin, and removed the wig. His clothing reversed, from a business suit, to dirty street clothes. He stepped out of the stall, looking one step up from a street ganger, and saw one of the suits from the plaza standing in the bathroom door. Jack froze in a moment of reality dysfunction. He had observed zero pursuit once he'd left the plaza, therefore there could not be a man standing in the door.
He suffered another dysfunction a moment later. As soon as Jack stepped out of the stall, the suit made a fist and punched the air in front of him. At least, that's what it looked like to Jack. Despite the fact they were at least four meters apart, Jack felt the fist connect squarely with his jaw, slamming his back into the stall. The astral observers had made no comment about awakened opposition. Therefore he was not just struck by a magical attack.
The pain helped his mind synch the dysfunction with reality. One of the men from the plaza _was_ in the bathroom with him, and he _was_ a masked adept. "I've been made," his transducer converterd the thoughts to words and sent the message out. Even as he drew his Predator, the suit kicked, the impact taking him in the gut. "Target is magically active." The gun was loaded with DMSO/gamma scopalmine capsule rounds for taking down Dedos. He fired, hitting the suit square in the chest, but the man didn't even slow down. He closed and kicked again, knocking Jack back into the wall, the Predator flying from his hand into one of the sinks. Jack pushed off from the wall, revealing the shock glove on his other hand as he took a swing. The man just seemed to tap Jack's forearm, but there was enough force behind it to spin him completly around and slam him once more into the wall. His eyes started fuzzing with static. He couldn't get up off his knees, and the suit grinned as he took the time to line up his last kick.
The bathroom door opened, and a kid stood there with one hand on the handle his mouth open in an O of surprise. Jack saw a flash of skin at the suit's ankle, and managed to catch the leg in his shock glove, his fingers closing around bare skin. The suit stayed standing, using the captured leg as a pivot point, pushing off from the planted foot and rotating to kick Jack hard in the side of the head. His fingers convulsivly clenched as he collapsed, and the final charge from his shock glove finally provoked a response. The suit blinked, and then fell, his head bouncing off a sink on the way down.
Jack lay with his head on the floor, the image from his cyber eyes slowly rolling. The kid shivered, and took a step back, letting the bathroom door swing shut again.
"Target did not follow Azzie SOP," Jack broadcast. Somehow, he managed to keep his thoughts clear. "Target attempted nonlethal take down. Third party operator?"
"Call to Knight Errant intercepted," Lilt radioed out. "Theta team, break off Dedos acqusition, respond to 'disturbance' call, bring in No'one and target." Jack heard the affirmative response from one of the faux Knight Errant teams. Help would be there soon. "Backup requested," he said, belatedly.

OOC: From your own post ...
QUOTE |
"We've got enough." Lilt transmitted. "Once he and Gabriel split, a unit disguised as Knight Errant FRFZ will move in to apprehend him. Close on his position and be prepared to lend assistance. Try and take him alive. Dead if you have to. If he's got any back up, geek 'em." |
This crap is all over the place without a GM. I'll remove my post if you want.

That does tend to be the problem with free form RP. I was attempting to restate what was supposed to be going on, but unfortunately, clarity has never been one of my strongest suits.
So, as it stands now (if I'm reading everything right):
Dedos is in Denver to geek a comprimised Aztlan agent, which may or may not be Gabriel.
A group of NPCs (who also work for Ghostwalker) disguised as Knight Errant are going to attempt to apprehend Dedos.
Jack just got the tar kicked out of him, and two of the aforementioned NPCs are going to 'arrest' him and the guy he fought with (and take them back to base). The implication is that the suits who were hanging around the plaza were not Aztlan agents.
James is tailing Dedos.
It's suggested that two of the awakened team members check out Gabriel, to make sure he doesn't get geeked, being a valuable resource and all.
The rest of the team is supposed to move in on Dedos, and lend a hand to the 'Knight Errant' force if he gives them trouble. Any backup that Dedos has with him is to be killed.

Dedos = Tiahualpa!
You didn't include any details from my post. In fact, you pretty much contradicted it with your IC post. Should I take that as a sign that you want me to delete or alter my post?

Jan 6 2005, 02:59 AM
Thats not what I got either Fortune. What I was under stood was we supervised the Gabriel Tiahualpa and ???? man meet, and tailed our mystery man, and aprehend ??? shortly there after.
I made mention that ??? and the goons where going oppisiite from Gabriel and the astral securety. Also, from a rules stand point, if I was close enough to get emotive impressions, Id know if he was magicaly active. Unless he was masking.

Fair enough. I misread when checking back through the thread.
I am absolutely hating the no-GM thing! If I wanted to freeform, I'd have joined another game.
The name in my post has been changed (at least until I am instructed to remove or alter it). The rest is still valid, as I made no mention of magic.

Well, I started the freeform thing because I wanted to get a feel for the characters before we started (and was laid up by icy weather and a bad ankle sprain and wanted to do something to keep from driving myself nuts).
In my last IC post, I notice now that I forgot to make any mention of masking (which I meant to strongly imply) on the part of the guy that beat up Jack. I'll go back and fix that.
Fortune, I probably started my post before you did yours. I was writing from work, and so ended up taking an hour or so to get the whole thing down, and so didn't even know you'd made a post until I hit 'submit' and the page updated.
I think in this case you might want to play around with your post a bit more. There had been a pretty strong covert theme up to that point, with pretty much EVERYONE pretending to be a salariman, lounging non chalantly in the hotel plaza. Gabriel and Dedos were having their own little conversation protected by the noise generator. The 'suits' were an unidentified element. Might've been bodyguards, might've been an Amazonia hit team, might've been a group of gardeners who took their jobs way too seriously. Ending that with Dedos and the suits suddenly piling into a Nightsky is rather anti-subtle, compared to what came before.
*edit*
Hmm, I see by the time stamp that I actually posted an hour and a half after Fortune. Well, when I started, Tarantula's was that last post on the page.

OOC: I think it's less important here what we actually accomplish, but rather how we accomplish it.
I'll move in to help out Jack - so, I'm new to the chemistry/pharmeceuticals, what knocks down a man who can take a dose of gamma-scopolamine? And what makes a guy able to take dose of GS?
IC: The darting drone flickers ahead and banks sharply into a dim alley. LEDs on a small disk on its tail, flicker repeatedly... low tech to be sure, but hard comms to intercept and harder to interpret.
Jack... cool... Third... door... second... up.
Slinky eyes adjust to the dim of the alley as she runs down the alley at a quiet, ground eating pace, counting three doors, two on the right, one on the left her eyes climb the wall and she sees an open window with an rickety iron excuse for a balcony and another of Andy's drones. Who's that? Must be one of the new ones.
She stops and leans hard against the wall, digging her right hand into the small pouch at her hip - a special holster she'd designed to facilitate the quick change of her cyberhands in the field. It wasn't quite ready for prime time, but it had to be tested. Pulling a handless arm out of the pouch she shoves the eerie cyberstump into the forward pouch and nods as the release mechanism catches and 'feelings' from it feed into her brain just like turning on a light switch. She draws the hand out and flexes it. Good. The left hand swap is going just as smoothly when the release mechanism doesn't catch. What the -- With her ready right hand she reaches across to pull the pouch open better. There. That's got it. Gotta remember to fix that.
Both hands swapped, she turns and looks up the CMU wall at the jutting window sill. She clenches her left hand and opens it causing another aperture to open in her palm - into this drill-bit sized hole she slots a grappling hook the from the pouch at her side. Raising her arm and aiming down the length of it she fires the grapple up and over the loose railing. She tugs the line down, locking the line into place and the balcony creaks ominously. Like a snake she slithers up the line, looping coiling and catching it up behind her as she goes.
<< Back up requested. >> came The New Guy's transmission.
<< Inbound Jack. There in moments. >>
Slinky grabs the top railing of the balcony and levers herself over it easily. The drones hover and hum quietly. The new drone darts through the window ahead of her and she ducks down to slip through. Ajax follows and blinks at her.
Jack... warm.
Getting closer.

OOC: Body armor with a good chem seal on it would be my first suggestion, since I described the shot as 'hitting him square in the chest.' Just to make sure that everything that Jack's done is clear, the adept he was fighting is down (but who knows for how long). Jack himself is in poor shape. After the kid walked in on the fight, he ran and told a security guard, or receptionist, or the like, who called Knight Errant (since they do the policing in Denver CAS sector). Our 'base' managed to intercept the call, and pulled off two guys in KE disguises to pick them up (and probably bring the adept back for questioning).

Don't ask me! Nobody seems to want to answer when I ask about the validity of the post in question.
As far as I know, I did not contradict anyone else's post, but merely continued to describe the action in a logical manner. It seems reasonable to me that once Dedos gets clear of the meet, he would get picked up. I just don't see the guy wandering around the streets in this type of situation.

", where you should tell me a 'quip' or something which expreses your personality better than I could do. That should be stated here so I can edit it there. On the 9th (3 days) we begin in earnest. Thread name will be:
Earth's Dawn - Oh... the HORROR!

So, I guess we should be getting a move on any last minute character adjustments then.

No posting in the new thread? Or this thread? Both? I should have my drones finished and the like today, I snuck R3R to work today, so that'll be my little project.
Edit: Durrr, I'm a moron.

You quoted the answer to your question.

No posting in the
new thread. Any comments necessary should be posted here in this thread so that Sphynx can edit it into the new thread.

Dedicated to ES_Sparky.
What is: Bastard’s Stealth Assault Rifle (5755) *can give full stats?
Also, love the multiple hands idea, but why? You can easily get a hand that has all the different attachments of the other hands, with the exception of body compartment space (and since you're putting the hands somewhere between use, you're not saving space with them...)
It's cool if it's just for theme, but I think you might find it more annoying than fun after a few months of playing... and the cash you'd save would be useful elsewhere I'm sure.
My concern is that the original idea was lost. I remember reading that the hands would be able to be Rigger controlled (Tarantula's character), but I see that's not possible anymore (none are Rigger Adapted). So, having skipped that idea (on the assumption it was skipped and not forgotten), are you sure you want so many hands when 1 set of hands can have all of that, and not need an external package to carry the 'extras' in?
Anyhows, lemme know what's up. While you're at it, I'd recommend changing the "Cyber Implant Combat" to "Unarmed Combat" with a possible specialty in "Cyber Implants" (I find that skill rather annoying and not thematic, so I merge the skills)

I do the same thing, which means (if you are using the M&M Martial Arts rules) that you can use Maneuvers.

Long-distance dedication to Sphynx.
- Hands - the body compartments are to slot DNI-ready B&E or other gear. Bug scanners, lockpick gun, ultrasound detectors/emitters, chemsniffers and the like with the idea that she could lower them into position from safety and control the hand along the DNI wire to position them. The compartments are for versatility. Also - I completely forgot that the reason she changed her hands was to get the climbing claws which I forgot to write in that she used.
So, the hands she switched to were her B&E hands. Climbing claws on both, DNI slots for lock pick gun and other stuff. Still haven't worked the details out, but I expect she'll be tricking them out for years to come. It wasn't neccessary to make the switch so that she could use the grapple - both sets of hands can do that.
The other set of hands is for combat - shock, injectors, compartments for her eventual monowhip (I can dream right?) and extra doses for her injectors.
Still haven't updated the gear and would like there to be a black box for Sleel to be able to get into and use, though I'm not sure how often I'd let a 50

piece of gear off it's tether.

Need to rework them, because there's less goodness I can pack into them if 0.5 of there ECU of 2 is taken up by the black box.
- Bastard's Rifle - A heavily stealth modded Assault Rifle designed by DSF's very own Bastard. I forgot to nuke it when it was pointed out that custom stuff wasn't allowed. When you said 'I go by canon' I read 'I go by Cannon'. My bad.
- Unarmed/Cyber implants vs. Cyberimplant combat - GREAT! That's a good change.
Still trying to get around to vetting my gear and seeing what money I can come up to make more of it DNI-ready.

Updated drones in my sheet, lemme know what you think.
I'll see about doing an IC post today. (Honestly, like Fortune, I don't like freeform much, so there isn't a lot of incentive for me to do it if it isn't convenient.
