Gunbunny's friend Zero calls him up and tell him to crash at Zero's place. Zero is scared to go back there because a group of bad guys that killed of several of his friends know he lived there. Gunbunny is happy to go live for a month in Zero's AAA apartment. It takes Gunbunny a little while to get access to the apartment. Security has to check with Mr Hamair (Zero) and make sure that he is ok with GB staying there. Eventually GB gets in the apartment and crashes on the couch.

Then he starts hearing something moving in the other room. Then he hears a really big cat growl. He runs out on to the balcony and shuts the door. A big sabertooth cat starts prowling around the apartment. After it sees him on the balcony it starts knocking the door down. Lots of phone calls occur between GB and Zero. Finally the cat knocks the door down. GB takes a S and the cat winds up dead.

Apartment security calls Mr Hamair and tells him they are responding to gunshots in his apartment. They pull a wounded Gunbunny out of the apartment and summon a HRT after he tells them there was a big cat. A Lone Star HRT team shows up along with EMTs. EMTs treat GB while the HRTs clear the apartment. Eventually one of the officers starts asking GB what happened. GB has some difficulty with the answers ("You friend that let you stay here, what was his name?" GB "Ed Gubber") but voluntarially surrenders his guns. At this point he decides he needs to get out of here so fakes a shortness of breath. The officer tells the EMT to take care of him. One of the EMTs starts moving him up to the roof for treatment.

At this point you, Gunbunny, are alone with an EMT in a stairwell on the 28th floor of an apartment complex. Do you:

A) Push the guy and make a break for it?
B) Slip him so cash and make a break for it?
C) Try to leap down the stair well and make a break for it?
D) Toss the EMT down the stair well and make a break for it?

Gunbunny chooses D! The rest of the party starts passing notes.

29 floors of stairs later Gunbunny found himself in the Lower Lobby of the apartment. A bored guard is on duty. In a bold move GB opens up a 2'x1' sticker that he was "distributing" as part of a gurrilla marketing campaign and wraps it around the guards head. Unfortunatly this sticker contains the picture of several of his fellow party members and a Mr Johnson. GB then flees.

Apartment company calls Mr Hamair with bill for HRT team. Eyewitness news calls asking about the cop killer that he let stay there. Mr Johnson calls telling them to convince GB to talk to the media. Thugs the party is helping doublecross Mr Johnson call asking if it is time to "limit their liablilities with this business venture".

Eventually the party "helped" Gunbunny "hide" in a gator costume. Aspect Shaman that take resources first can buy then damnest things.

Assasination attempt.

We switch GMs and the previous GM had us fighting a group that used a lot of para-animals. We killed the handlers off but they still had a truck load of animals. So when I started running I looked at the animals he had left over and stuck one in the apartment as a welcome home present.

I originally had some kinda para-snake with charm under the couch but the player would have been toast. So I changed it to a big cat. Maybe not the most logical but it did give the player a fighting chance.

As far as it getting in there that would make a hell of a run. I'll have to use that at some point.

Talis Cat?
BitBasher
If it was a talis cat the player would likely be dead. Jeez, enhanced reactions and enhanced physical attributes for something like 7d6 initiative all together. it also looks like a housecat.

Not when the powers are active. The talis cat (by the standard numbers) effectively has two forms as a result of some interesting magic, housecat and cheetah. The powers are only active when accompanied by the cheetah appearance, while it looks like a housecat it is nearly harmless, but doesn't take long to switch.

Until it attacks, at which point it looks like a freaking Cheetah. Can you imagine a SURGE variant with Adaptive Coloration in place of Desired Reflection (or whatever they call it).

Lets not forget where he kept calling over an open line bragging about killing the EMT, refusing to help with the damage payment for his part in the appartement and threatening the rest of the team if they did not help him at that right moment.
