Hello, I am so new to the board my username still has the plastic scratch gaurd on it. I need help with some info on Chi-town around the time of Big D's election. I am trying to find a copy of Bug City out there, but they are rare.

I need just a general idea of how far the Chicago plex extends, (N, S, W) and where exactly the containment zone is, what it covers.

Thanks.
Bigity
Hopefully Bug City is one of those books that is going to make it to PDF, as I'd love to run this for a new group of SR players, but I sold it in a moment of weakness (well, 300 percent profit).

http://timeline.dumpshock.com./ will be helpful to you. The quarantine area extends "from Lake Michigan to the Des Plaines River".

Looks like about highway 19 on the north, highway 43 on the west, and 111th Street on the south.

So, IOW, your house is probably rubble used to build The Wall.

Hopefully I'm allowed to post this info taken from "Bug City", p.55 (Otherwise, please tell me ASAP and I'll delete it.):

Northern Border: Irving Park Road
Western: Harlem Avenue
Southern: 115th Street
Lake boundary: circa 1km offshore

Hope this helps a bit!

You can post several paragraphs of book text as long as they are attributed to the books or author.

No meager paragraph of any Shadowrun book can make-up for not having the rest of it.

Thanks, Kanada Ten!

I wasn't really sure to what extent I was allowed to give info out of the books, especially with the german FanPro boards seeming rather strict in this regard.

BTW, I can only recommend "Bug City". The game I bought it for never came to pass, but it's still a great read.

Yeah, it's not bad at all. I used a lot of it as post-CZ material to set up the city in 2061 under the rule of a bug hating Mayor and made Catherine the Terrible Chief of Police, creating an iron fist force to deal with the remaining warlords.

IMO, Bug City is one of the best written SR books out today. It puts out a lot of the fear and insanity of being inside the CZ.
