Full Version: Shadowrun question
Dumpshock Forums > Discussion > Shadowrun
HunterXDR
Hi, 2 years ago at gencon I was first introduced to shadowrun at gencon so-cal. The DM had characters already made for us that used some point system. It had like everything converted into points. I was wondering what book this was from or if there is a website that has this point system for reference.

Thanks

Shadowun Companion is likely the source but if you want an free alternative Becks 2.0 is pretty good.
Arethusa
The point build system is in the Third Edition Companion (not to be confused with the Cannon Companion).
Kanada Ten
One can also find the point system using NSRCG.
Synner
Although that lacks the descriptions of what certain point allocations mean... you really need the SRComp.
Critias
Not to mention there's plenty of other handy stuff in there, that's very usefull for running/playing in a good SR game.
Jrayjoker
You have been introduced to SR, but have you played much?

You may want to use the point system, but limit the books used initally until you are comfortable with the core rules.
Dog
For sure, and it's GM, not DM. You're with the cool-kids now.
Critias
There are cool kids here?
The Grifter
No drek., right? LOL cool.gif
