Hey, I'm trying to simulate the fact that she has to go get crap. I'll hurry it along though.

Damn, all sorts of shit decides to go down the very day I go home from college.
I'll try to make up for lost time.
EDIT: Um, did Grey bring both the kids into the lair or just one? Most references are in the singular, but from context, it would seem to make sense that he brought both kids in.

Dominic is going to assense both of the boys. He's then going to hold an action to use Compulsion to stop anyone from harming them at the first sign of their attempts to do so. In the meantime, he's just going to stand there quietly, watching how they react to the children.
Assensing #1 (the one that originally ran): 1 5 3 5 10 2 5 3 2.
Assensing #2 (the one who said Grey looked sick): 16 13 1 1 11 2 4 5 10.
As a pre-emptive strike, here's his Compulsion roll:
Compulsion: 5 4 1 4 1 9 17 4 16 2 7 2 4 4 5 1.

First boy: He is young, healthy, and quite scared out of his mind. He has a datajack installed. He is very mundane (Yes, as opposed to kind of mundane

). His Essence is lower than yours, and the datajack is in the expected place for those who use it to surf the 'Trix.
Second boy: The boy is a little tired and has the beginnings of a cold. He has no implants, but is Awakened. His Essence is 6, as is his Magic Attribute. He seems to be very curious, but in a frightened sort of state. The scared part seems to be coming from the fact that all these people are here, and one happens to be holding a gun to his head.
Anything I miss?

Dec 19 2003, 04:44 AM
Is there any sign of Sorcery at play, most notably Spell Defense on the second boy's part?

None at all.

Negotiation with the boy: 1,3,3,4,4,10

Just so we're clear, while Thinker is invisible, does the same hold true for anything he's holding? Frank may have heard Thinker's threat, but I doubt he'd see the gun being put away.
Don't worry about the negotaitions, anyway, Thinker just wanted to make a point.

I know, I made the roll for the sake of it. Negotiations with players are mostly roleplay anyways.
About you being invisible, let's see if I can see you ..
Spell Resistance test TN6: 1,1,3,3,4,5,5,9 (1 success)
Nope, I know you're close by but I can't see you... What Frank said still makes sense, and I'll take the fact that I don't see you into account from now on. Sorry I forgot this
small detail.

If you're reading this: Post here!

Methinks Doc is dropping, but I won't verify that until he lets me know.
Grey
Dec 29 2003, 04:09 PM
Yeah, I'm here. I don't think Doc is out, he is just on vacation or something.
GunnerJ
Dec 31 2003, 05:16 PM
He's still holding the gun, just to let the kids know that the threat remains, but it's pointed at the ground at all times.

GunnerJ: Check your PMs. I sent you something last night before I headed off to sleep (At around 5:30 AM....

).
Tanka
Jan 4 2004, 04:21 PM
OK, I think Doc is done for. After his little bit in the threads about Athletics vs Throwing Weapons and the M&M Errata, I have a feeling that he may not be back.
Shall we move on? I have a fix that should supplement this, but should Doc decide to come back, he can rejoin with the same character.
GunnerJ
Jan 4 2004, 04:45 PM
What, why not just NPC his character for a bit? Has he responded to PMs? Anyway, I'm eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story.
Tanka
Jan 4 2004, 04:51 PM
I'd rather not NPC a character that isn't mine. I wouldn't be able to do the character just quite right.
Should he decide to come back, there won't be anything other than a switch and some background.

Update: Both Doc's and Lezzie's sheets are off the site that he provided. There was one person who was interested in playing, but only noticed the thread after we started. I'll get in touch with them.
Tanka
Jan 7 2004, 03:19 AM
Update again: I'm giving the guy four days to complete a character. So far no news from him. After that I'll open up for one person in the boards to come in. If any of you know somebody who wants in, post their name here and I'll get in touch with them.
Shadow
Jan 7 2004, 03:41 AM
Hey Tanka I would be interested....
Tanka
Jan 7 2004, 04:22 AM
Alright, I'll let you know in four days time if the guy doesn't reply. If you feel like making one just in case, here's my rules...
1) Human only
2) Either Vampire or Vampiric Pawn*
3) If you choose Vampire, you may either be a mage of an aspected magician. If you choose Pawn, you may be either magically active or mundane
4) Vampires may not take Sensitive System/Bio-rejection, Pawns may
5) Essence is 2D6, and your Magic Rating is not affected by it
6) You may initiate with Spell Points
7) Spell Points can be purchased for 25,000 nuyen
8) Corrupt ways are allowed, just try not to go overboard
9) Drain does not Regenerate. This is mainly a balance issue
Other regular rules apply (Rating 6/Avail 8).
Any questions, PM to me.
Note that if the guy sends me his sheet within four days, I'll let him in. He expressed interest right before the beginning of the game, so I'm giving him more allowance.
*I'm allowing a Vampiric Pawn now because you guys may need somebody to run around who won't be randomly getting a sunburn. They can take cyberware and bioware because they don't have Regeneration. However, do watch out for the strange Essence Loss.
And for all of your renewed viewing pleasure... The Initiatory Group!
- Accepts Mages, Shamans, and Adepts (+4)
- Exclusive Membership (-1)
- Exclusive Ritual (-1)
- Deed (-1)
- Fraternity (-1)
- Gaesa (-1)
- Secrecy (-1)
- Limited Membership: HMHVV-Infected (-1)
- Material Link (-1)
- Oath (-1)
Three to join, then initiate as per group rules as you see fit.

So I like to mutli-post. Sue me.

OK, what we've got so far (In case anybody wants to know for sure...) as characters...
Grey (Grey): Human Vampiric Adept. Likes to be invisible.
Thinker (GunnerJ): Human Vampiric Aspected Sorcerer. Hermetic.
Francois (gobogen): Human Vampiric Aspected Sorcerer. Hermetic. Likes Enchating.
Esmeralda (Cheese Emperor): Banshee Bat Shaman. Hot stuff.
Solaris (NPC): Dzoo-Noo-Qua Aspected Conjurer. Hermetic (We gots lots o' those, don't we?). Likes Enchating too.
Tanka
Jan 8 2004, 04:26 AM
OK, I now have word from
Callidus about the game.
On second thought... Shadow, if you get it to me quick enough, both of you will be in. I can still run Solaris as an NPC and get away with it.

Two questions,
1: Can I be a Night One?
2: Can I be a Elementalist?
Shadow
Jan 9 2004, 04:36 AM
On a second note, what Hapened to Doc F. he usually is pretty good about staying in games...
Grey
Jan 9 2004, 04:36 PM
It appears that he has dropped off the board completely. I've tried catching him with email but he isn't answering those either.
Shadow
Jan 9 2004, 05:45 PM
Naah, he just posted the day before, he probably is just working or something. He will be back shortly.
Tanka
Jan 9 2004, 08:54 PM
Weren't any of you reading up on the two threads he was arguing vehemently on? He got a little upset and ended up giving up and basically giving us all the online equivalent of the finger.
On top of that, both his and Lezzie's sheets are off the net. He dropped from LM's pirate game before it had barely begun. I think he's done with Dumpshock.
OK, to answer your questions...
1) Duh.

(In other words: No.

)
2) Sure, you can be an elementalist. Magic B in Priority, or the equivalent thereof in whatever generation system you're using.
Shadow
Jan 9 2004, 09:14 PM
Nah, I guessed I missed that. What thread was it in? And ok, Fire Elementalist coming fortwith.
Tanka
Jan 9 2004, 09:52 PM
Why not? Because that would mean a Banshee. thusly meaning you lose all racial mods except the mods for a Banshee.
Plus we already have one, and IIRC they're kind of territorial with other Banshees.
Grey
Jan 9 2004, 10:02 PM
tanka, I think he was meaning that he missed DocFunk having a fit, not questions about being a Night One.
Tanka
Jan 9 2004, 11:26 PM
Oh, my fault. I blame just getting off work.
The threads were about the M&M Errata and the one where we were arguing if a Troll lifting an adept as a boost was Throwing Weapons or Athletics.

Callidus: Better idea. PM.

Now, where were we?
gobogen
Jan 14 2004, 03:09 AM
So, do Dominic and the woman Nosferatu still exist? I mean, have they disappeared or something ?
And whose going to take the decision about the kids ?

Whose in charge of our dark group now ?
Tanka
Jan 14 2004, 03:14 AM
1) I'm taking it that Doc and his wife are gone from Dumpshock. If they do return, they can come back in after a brief report and what's gone down since they left. The haven will still exist.
2) I'm working on that one. He (She?) won't come into play yet, so you can bicker amongst yourselves on what to do with the kids.
GunnerJ
Jan 14 2004, 03:19 AM
Casting a 6M Stunbolt on the kid with the datajeck. 6 Sorcery + 3 Spell Pool yields 05 02 10 05 20 03 05 01 05 . (Hope he doesn't have a 6 Will... that would suck. Although, if he has a really low Willpower, would it overfolw into physical?)
Drain: 7 Willpower + 3 Spell Pool against 2M stun = 03 01 02 02 05 02 03 01 03 01, or 7 successes for no drain.
(EDIT: For posterity's sake, I fixed a typo)
