Cursing under her breath in russian, she started fumbling around her pockets for her swiss army knife. She hadn't plan on picking any maglocks today, but she was tired of this waiting game. She was worried...

Crouching a bit in front of the door, she went to work on the maglock.

Ludi

Hearing the maglock disengaged, Ludmila's hand reached for her Colt. Drawing it out of its holster, she deactivated the safety cybernetically and started slowly opening the door.

Weapon interface now filling her vision, overlaying itself on the world, she could feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins; putting her boosted reflexes even more on alert.

Since she needed to be fully aware of her environment, she deactivated her sound filters.

Oh no...

weapon still at the ready, Ludmila quickly covered the few steps that separated her from Kote's body. She kneeled down, trying to figure out if the woman was still alive.

She still hadn't secured the whole house... and the killer might still be in.

If Kote is still alive
Feeling the panic slowly take hold of her, Ludmila dropped her Colt next to Kote's body, doing her best to stop the bleeding.

"HANK! GET THE FRAG IN HERE! KOTE'S DOWN!"

If Kote seems pretty much dead
Feeling anger take over her, Ludmila grasped both hands on her gun. The one who had done this might still be in the apartment: so Ludmila went back to clearing the house

If she can't really tell if Kote is dead or alive
Keeping an eye out for trouble, Ludmila rapidly dialed Hank's number.

"Kote's down. In the living room. Get the frag in, now!"

Hank tries the door know if that doesn't work he's kickin it in.

clearing the room he'll make his way to where he heard Ludi. If he makes it to Ludi without running into any one he'll tell her "Get back in less your trained medicaly I'll deal with Miss Kote[/]. Cover me while I do this. [B]Hank will get to work on Miss Kote.

Ernie lets the water run as he sits on the toilet. Hearing the troll in the other rooms cleaning, Ernie deciding that cleaning isnt his thing takes his time bathing out of the sink. Ernie emerges from the bathroom after the "noise" of cleaning has died down. When Jack tells he that we need to call them before meeting, Ernie agrres.

With Slick all done cleaning up and wanting to meet up with the other 2 Jack calls up Hank, it was faster then Ludi's pager and then waiting for a call back.

" Hello Hank, Whats going on ?"

Depends on how far back in time we are then them to finish the conversation.

Hank and Ludi

Hanks says theres a problem and get get over to Kotes fast. He doesn't say what kind of problem.

Jack grabs his 2 colts and his long coat and runs out the door. Calling for a cab while riding the elevator. When the cab arrives he gives him the address and says" I'll toss in an extra 50 if you take fastest way there."

While in the car Jack till call Hank back for more info.

Ludmila holsters back her weapon while peering at Kote's body over Hank's shoulder.

"I cleared the whole house... We better comb this place for information and leave as soon as possible.... I'll go turn off the water."

Wrapping her hand in her sleeve, Ludmila then proceeds in turning off the water in all the rooms. She knew, with almost certainty, why the house was flooded: Cain couldn't drop Kote's body in Pugget Sound. He had with Keller's... but carrying Kote's body outside would have been too hard, so he had constructed his own little pond of water.

Ludmila was almost convinced that Keller had also been killed by Cain. The similarities were too great.

Both models. Both found "in" water. Both..... Both working for Rick Stone.....

The woman had a host of theories and ideas to share, but she decided that it would be wiser to wait for the rest of the team. Also, for a split second, she tought it would be justified to cap a slug in Hank's skull. Maybe he had killed Kote... But she knew it wasn't a wise, logical, or possible thing. She was angry and was looking for someone to blame for Kote's death. It wasn't Hank's fault.

Stay calm... Breath... It's no ones fault... Yes; it's Cain's fault.

Taking her shoulder bag off and setting it somewhere dry, she dug inside for her pocket computer. Once she finally found it, she hooks it up to her datajack and stashs it in her pocket. It was time to find Kote's computer, and most importantly, Cain's letter.

"If she's dead....... you might want to hit that guy you pointed out earlier. If he isn't Cain, maybe he saw something."

Well if Ludi's going CSI on the inventorying the house, Hank might as well CSI Miss Kote. Before he starts though he'll give some of his medical gloves from the medkit to Ludi. Then he will attemp to get one bullet if its still in Miss Kote. If its not he'll look for it.

Perception/Biotech

After that he'll try and judge time of death factoring in the water around her and knowing it would take roughly 30-45 minutes before the water would get her.

If Ludi isn't finished before Hank He'll help her along. Once thats all finished up he'll make his way outside to see if he can locate that bum from last night.

Perception

Ernie chases behind jack into the elevator and into the cab. Ernie tries to calm himself during the ride. Rat whispers.....stay behind the big one...he'll protect you, but be mindful of all the exits.....we will run if it's bad [/I][I]yes?.....we will run yes?...Ernie sighs. Yes, we always run....unless we are corned Rat replies. Ernie casts his glances down at the cab floor.

Jack and Ernie

Ernie smiles as he asks the cabbie." What's a 27? Wild party in progress?"

Jack will say "Hay you know what a 27 in progress is cabie?

And will tell the cabie" Well we better not be going there right now will we, take us to (insert bar name here of a bar in the city the girls place is in, i can roll Shadowrunner Haunts(KNO) to find a place if need be) We will need a drink then."
then will call up Ludi and leave a message to call me back and then call hank to see what the fukdfjsdf is up.

The cabbie laughs. "Daz breaking and enterin' mon. Some thugs be lootin' your joint." He continues driving quickly until you tell him to go to a bar. "I know a great bar in dat neighborhood. I take ya there. It's called coconuts."

Jack will say to the cabbie" That bar sounds good. i have to call my buddy thats his address i gavez youz." then he will call hank and ludi like i said in last post

Jack and Ernie

Ernie looks up at Jack"Up for a game of Pool?" Moving closer he whispers."We might stand out just sitting around waiting, sort of hiding in plain sight."

Hank heads back into the house. "Ludi we need to go get a move on cops will be here shortly." Hank makes his way through the house to Ludi and helps collect the stuff she gathered and makes his way to his vehical. As he goes to his car he tells Ludi "Keep you eye out for the bum (brief discription here) if you see em give me a call. We should go in seperate ways and meet up with the rest of the group."

As Hank starts up his car he calls up Jack to get directions. Once Hank knows where he's heading he makes his way at a safe pace whilst keeping a sharp I out for the bum.

Perception

Jack tells hank that Slick and himself are at the bar named Coconuts not far from where they are. And tell Hank to give the directions to Ludi.
And then starts up a game of pool with Slick.

Hank and Ludi

Ernie looks in bewilderment as Jackie D runs the table on him."Good thing we werent bettin' i quess. I'll buy this next round of beers since you won."
Ernie walks to the bar and orders a pitcher of SoyBeer and two mugs.

Jack says to Slick "Good game Slick, I have never played before. Must be beginners luck you knowz. thx for the beer."
Jack keeping an eye out for anyone watching Slick or him and to see Hank and Ludi walk.

Jack seeing Ludi walk in he "nods" for her to come over to a small table next to the pool table where their beer sits.

Ludmila entered the bar just a few steps after Hank. The run had just begun, and already, it was starting to go sour… Was this Cain’s doing? Or was Cain some sort of invention from Stone? A fake persona to get rid of Kote and pin it on a few shadowrunners? What about Charles? Or maybe, some concerned neighbor had spotted Hank and herself breaking into the house and called the blue boys. There were too many ifs…

There was only one thing Ludmila was sure of: she was very pissed off. Seeing Jacky D and Ernie playing pool and having a beer didn’t improve her mood. She was angry, and someone was going to have to take that heat.

Walking to Ernie and Jack’s table directly, she didn’t even gave the other patrons a single glance. Her movements were brusque and aggressive: everything about her body language said that she was not one happy camper.

“Kote’s dead. One through each eye. Thing was a fragging setup.”

She takes a few deep breaths to calm herself down.

“So… anything on the astral recon?”

Ernie gulps down a drink of beer at her question. Better make it a good one he thinks to himself "Well since the Star is all over the place it isnt wise for me to be an astral tourist at the moment." Yeah that'll work....she's kind of sexy when she's angry.....she's still looking at me.....chummer is she... Ernie breaks free of the deep thoughts he's having and focuses back to the reality of the situation.

For a few seconds, Ludmila simply starred at Ernie... who was calmly drinking his beer.

"What about last night? Wasn't it established that you were going with the Troll to do that?"

Dreg...I'm caught...think fast....think fast...ahh Ernie looks at Ludi "The area wasnt conducive to astral traveling. Alot of older buildings are much like that....older materials from corrupted sites....mold sometimes is an astral barrier....bad vibes in the neighborhood.... possible sights of traumatic incidents..." Ernie stops to breathe "Could have been any number of things really." Ernie takes a drink from his mug hoping it hides his face abit. Rat whipers...Quite good......Thank you, I've worked more with less but it's quite good..

Ludmila gave a quick, and very confused look to Hank, before going back to Ernie.

"Conducive to astral traveling? What the frag does that mean! What the heck is going on in...."

Ludi looks Ernie from head to toe, and suddently seems to realize something.

"Oh christ!"

She crosses herself and then proceeds to burst in russian; cursing, pointing at Ernie and Jack, cursing some more (at least... it seems like cursing) and shaking her fists here and there.

Come on... try to stay cool... A rat shaman! We couldn't have shot ourself in the foot better

After yelling in russian at Ernie for almost a minute, Ludmila knocks his mug out of his hands, and proceeds in grabbing him by the collar and pining him agaisn't the wall.

Ludmila had came in looking for someone to blame... and she had just found him.

Subduing combat

Ernie gasps out from under her grip." Look...I think youre over reacting here." Ernies face is turning a blueish color."It's not exactly all my fault....thing's were happening all around you know?" The last part is edging on a whimper.

As Ernie was starting to change color, Ludmila's hands were starting to turn white. A few heads had started to turn in there direction: which was normal concerning the noise the pair had made. Ludi could feel the empty and broken mug against her right boot.

finally noticing the attention she is attracting to the whole group, she lets go of Ernie. This was not the place, nor the time for this kind of thing, Ludmila knew that. But her temper had gotten the best of her. Without even a look, or apology to Ernie, Ludi grabbed a chair and simply sat down.

They all had to discuss what to do next... but she didn't feel like saying anything. She could only think of Kote's face: her two bloodied eyes, her cold skin, the water building up around her. Ludmila had seen, and produced, her shares of dead bodies in her life; and it wasn't something that bothered her. But she had always been able to justify it... to rationalize it. But this... this was simply, to her, gratuitous. Kote didn't deserve to die, not in such a manner.

"We should get the frag out of here... We need to talk..." she locked eyes with Ernie "... We need to talk seriously".

Ernies face begins to return to it's normal pale color."We'll talk sure, but lets not do it without our hands." Next time you grab hold it won't just be me youre grabing Ernie thinks to himself. Then trying to lighten the moment Ernie looks at the broken mug on the floor "You know they're probly going to make me pay for that." Ernie grabs one of the turned over chairs and sets it up to sit in. It's as close as he can get to Jackie D and out of Ludimilla's reach as possible.

Jack flags down a waitress and asks.
" Is there any private rooms in this place?"



Jack looks at Hank.
" I thought you was at her place all night? How did someone get by you to kill her?"

Under his breath
" I knew we should have picked her up last night."

then to both Ludi and Hank
" So did the star get a good look at either of you or any other witnesses from the neighborhood? I don't want the star to show up and find you talking to me. I think we need to go some where we can really talk."

Ludmila gave Jacky a dark look.

"What do you think we are?! We were long gone before the Star showed up, and I doubt we left a single print behind... beside our boots prints in the carpet. And beside whomever might have called them, there were no witnesses at all."

She straightens herself up, trying to look a bit more intimidating than usual.

"So don't worry about the Star ok? Chill the frag out. Actually, it looks like you two have done more than your share of chilling."

Ernie sheepishly replies." We were in here establishing an alibi." Ernie flinches at Ludimillas hard stare (that undoubtfully is there) Ernie feeling a bit more confident then says." And doing a Fragging good job of it too, until someone wanted to pull a Neil the Ork Barbarian impression." "Nobody in a bar remembers how long others have been in there unless they stand out somehow." Ernie leans back in the chair smiling, but somehow knowing it's about to hit the fan.

Jack says " I'm just saying someone had to have calls the star for them to be on you that fast. Just don't want any suprises. as for my laying back, thats what I do, unless theres a fight. I'm the mussel. you call me when you need it, I never said i was good for anything else, I'm sure thats why Stone got me and I'm sure he got you because of your talents."



Sitting down Jack continues. "Now tell us more about the girl , you find anything at the house that would lead to a killer? And what else you have dug up since last night about everything. We need to start thinking about what we are going to do now. I'm sure Stone isn't vary happy with us now and he might send someone after us. Before we continue the job we need to find out if we are still on a job. Start talking."

Upon Ernie making the "Neil" remark, Ludmila's jaw clentched itself... just like her fists. But, suprisingly, she didn't make any move, contrary to what most people were probably expecting. She was still angry, that was for sure, but after having moosed the shaman, she had started to calm down a bit.

All she needed to calm down was a vector to direct her temper at: and that had been Ernie... and probably would be again in the future.

Her tone of voice was sill harsh, but a bit quieter than before.

"Listen you little hamster piece of sh..."

She took a deep breath to calm herself down.

"Listen, I don't mind people who make mistake or screw up: that how you learn. Maybe Hank wasn't vigilant enough, and maybe we both didn't move in on Kote's house as fast as we should have, but we did our job. You haven't done squat yet. You just sit in your corner and grin at the world... which is fine by me as long as it doesn't put my life..." she looked at Hank, then Jacky "or theirs, as well as the mission's success, in jeopardy"

She pointed at Jacky.

"Him, he didn't do squat yet, but thats because we haven't been needing his skills yet. actually, he did his job perfectly: he made sure no one popped you while you were going astral... which I believe you never did. You job, in this group, is to provide for the magical side of things. If you cannot accomplish that, then, you are useless."

She slightly moved her arms to the side, opening up her vest to reveal the protuding handle of her Colt (in a way you can it if you are in front of her).

"Which means, you become a dead weight. Which, in turns, gives more work to the three of us. personally, if you can't do anything, I don't see why we should keep you around."

After making sure she had made her point, she closed her vest back up. Leaning a bit forward, she got closer to Ernie (who probably jerks a bit back)

"I am not trying to scare you, or threatened you. I am simply warning you that if I ever believe your laziness is putting our lifes in jeopardy, I will have no remorse in killing you. Screwing up is ok. Slacking off isn't."

She turned her attention toward Jacky. Ludi was now back to her normal self, totaly calm and in control.

"Sorry for going after you, none of this is your fault. Don't worry about the Star: your back is safe, trust us. As for Cain slipping it to Hank... We tought the house was a lot more secure than what it turned out to be. Our "friend" was able to disguise himself and blend in with the surroundings. He accessed her house from the back door, disableing the maglock and braking the security chain."

She gave a quick look around, at the other patrons.

"Lets get out of here..."

Jack sugrests "We can go back to my place to talk." as he stands up to leave.

Ernie fixes his collar in fake show of dignity."Yes, lets leave...the ambiance isnt quite at all what it used to be." Ernie avoids eye contact with Ludmilla and takes great care to stay out of arms reach.

Hank looks over at Ludi and decides the shit storm had passed. Its probly safe to speak now with out getting caught in it. "I didn't see much but from what I could tell she died a couple hours before we entered. I did happen to get acouple pictures with my phone of her earlier there might be something for us to use there."

Hank looks over at Jack "I'm going to need an address. We should go through the information we have collected and see what we can figure out. When we get there."

She looks over at Jacky D.

"Sounds like a plan to me... Give the address to Hank, and I will follow him."

Jack looks at both Hank and Ludi. " I don't drive and could use a ride, the other can follow the ones i ride with to my place. It's in downtown."
