what is The Great feathered Serpent Arleesh up to (destroying all those artifacts)
and why is she doing it, or why is she the only one doing it
Thanx

Short of the Long: Arleesh is destroying "tainted" artifacts. Those items from previous ages that were used by Horrors or in some way aid the Horrors. She is the one doing it because the dragons trust (or entrusted) her to do so, and she has the power and knowledge to do so. There seems to be some motivation (or obsession) as well... Those that come in contact with these items may be overcome by temptation and lust (either by the item's control or their own) and these fools are inevitably led to despair and... well... evilness by using the items. Sort of like versions of the Ring of Power.
Not that Arleesh is immune...

Do these objects have anything to do with the little focus-spirits that appear in Threats 2?

The artifacts in question provide a continual connection between your realm and a rather different one...
Imps are entertaining, but not part of this discussion.

--------- Minor Spoilers Below ----------
Are Arleesh and/or the artifacts covered anywhere in canon (either in Shadowrun or Earthdawn), other than Bottled Demon? I ran Bottled Demon when it first came out, and I'm planning on finally doing a sequel.
Also, does anyone know who exactly Blackwing was working for (ie who was collecting the artifacts), iirc the original adventure just said it was a mysterious person or organisation within the Tir, but never said who. Dragon Hunt also included Blackwing, but still didn't say exactly who his former employers (from BD) were.

Thanks for the reply, I already use Steve's site quite often for ideas, I'd hoped there might have been something canon that I didn't know about, oh well.
Still now I can be as evil as I like, and not break canon.

Besides the stuff in DotSW and Bottled Demon that you seem to be already aware of Arleesh doesn't show up in any canon that I recall (of course that depends if there's any truth to the rumores linking her to the Apep Consortium, in which case that also appears in Target:Wastelands).

No notes on what kind of realm that might be?

The place where Nightmares are tame and all the inhabitants are shades of black.
The place that once seen makes you wake screaming every dawn.

You've just been reading "Earther's Only" propoganda. The geography and cultural practices are different, but by no more extreme margin than you would expect with the distances involved.

*Cough* The Idol, and presumably the other artifacts hunted by Arleesh, was usuable by anyone without bonding. However, instead of drawing their power from Astral Space, they drew it from some other place...whic is assumed to be a Metaplane or Netherworld you don't want to go to, as the side effects of using the Idol clearly illustrate (Hell, look what it did to that poor Western Dragon...scale pattern baldness is nothign to sneeze at).
So, while it might not be directly linked to the home Netherworld of the Horrors, it is linked to someplace nasty. Nasty enough to convince Arleesh to go hunting it.
