I remember one of the books had rules in it for creating your own totems. I have looked though both Grimoire's, Awakenings and MitS. Before I break out every book and go nuts , I figured I would ask first.

It's 2e, but it's IIRC not exactly filled with tables and charts. It's one of those annoying, "well, make sure things are balanced" guides.

Just keep it in line with the other totems and never add more than 3 dice (and only do that once) to any test and you are OK.
It may pay to do a little google on the totem you are considering to get the flavor and qualities you want.
