I've got myself an Orc Stealth Adept, I've got enough Karma to initiate, I'm currently trying to find a group to initiate with (assuming I go with ordeals, as soon as I finish my first initiation I'll have enough Karma for a 2nd one).
What power(s) should I take next? Also, can anyone explain, simply, what MetaMagic is useful for Adepts? I dont understand Meta at all...
My current powers are:
Improved Sense: Enhanced Hearing
Improved Sense: THermo Vision
Motion Sense
Magic Sense
Traceless Walk
Improved Reflexes (Level 1)
Improved Physical Attribute - Quickness - 2
Improved Physical Skill - Stealth - 4
I was considering Wall Walking, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Powers, hard to tell without more of the orc's psychology. IIRC, reflexes 2 is just one more point than reflexes one, in that case that would be a high return use of a single power point.
Metamagics for adepts without astral perception:
Pre-SOTA 2064: Masking, Centering, Divination
Of those, masking may be the most helpful, but if you have the karma to buy up some centering skills it will help significantly.
Psychomety would work if you had astral perception, but probably wouldn't be as useful to a stealth adept as it would to a magical detective.
2064: Most everything listed. If you have it, all the magic it includes is related to adepts (well, there's two[?] spells, but nothing else significant).

Important to note, re metamagics, is that Centring for an adept is not a single metamagic. Just about any non-computer non-social skill can now be centred to potentially lower your TNs, including stealth/athletics, driving, "classes" of combat skills, B/R, even Knowledges.
You do have to learn Centring as a skill, as well as a non-active centring skill.

If you mean stealth in the sense of pajamas-wearing-ninja-leaping-through-shadows, go Centering (stealth) or (athletics) for your metamagic.
If you mean stealth in a more more modern sense, blending in urban settings and masquerading through corporate compounds, Masking is your friend.

Herald is dead on. Improved Reflexes level II is the best bang for your buck here. Going faster is always nice. You might also consider Improved Ability: Pistols or Unarmed in order to boost your combat effectiveness.

Ok, more about the Orc:
He's an ex special services agent from a Corp that was destroyed when his mentor betrayed it. He is a 'sneak in, scope the place out, disable any security cameras etc, and silently take out the guards' definitely a Ninja type.
Can someone please give me an explantion as to how Centering actually works? I know nothing of the Magic system of shadowrun other than higher force = stronger, and you have to soak drain after casting.
Reflexes II is definitely sounding like a good option, then spend my second initiation on either Wall Running or Vision Mag and a few other Skill bumps? (Like upping my Wildcat Unarmed Fu).
For reference as to what this guy looks like, think a Rastafarian Orc, sneaking through a complex wearing a Rapid Transit Jumpsuit that changes to whatever Camo suit is most effective at the time, and a salvaged Security Grade Helmet, riding a bicycle to the location of the run

Centering is explained in MitS.
You need the metamagic, then you need an actual skill called Centering, then you need another skill like meditation or singing or chanting that is what you use to center. You roll as many Centering dice as you have, up to the performance skill you have.
Successes can be used for a variety of things like extra successess on a success or drain test, or to offset modifiers.

Centering is my recommendation. It is the key to a whole bunch of other metamagics which are IMO quite powerful. Virtuso and Cognition are very strong metamagics that require Centering.

But if his character wasn't designed to get Centering, such as getting a knowledge skill at level 6 to use with Centering, and if GM allows, Centering 6 at birth, then he need to pay 60 karma to get those two skills, Centering and fokus skill, to 6.

Well, the centering linked skill is a knowledge skill, so the total cost would be 51 karma, but still... Masking is a pretty good first choice for an adept, as it makes it simpler to pretend to be the janitor.

Yes, go for masking first. Suppose the watcher was told to "report the first magical beeing except myself entering here".
I would prefer Sound Filter 5 and Sound Dampening as improved senses. Hear them before they see you, but buy insurance against the incurred vulnerability(noise).
I suggest facial sculpt as one power from your second initiation (or even the first, if you want to forego combat power). That way, you won´t have to worry about being found by optical data after the run.

From your description, I'd say 2 levels of improved Fu would suit you best. Unarmed combat doesn't rely on high initiative.

That's the route I'd take.
