@Seth: The background count is still as strong (in game terms)...maybe it will get better soon?!? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@Sabs: please can I have drone perception checks for your rotadrones and the centipedes in the hobbiton breach? I will remove dice from the back of the roll for modifiers but if you want to use the -3 for metahuman signatures that one is pretty much a given...(assume sensors have been upgraded to Rt6 if you haven't already done so, it's an easy enough upgrade).

@Big Fella: can I have an athletics test for the rappelling please (Legs Agi seems most appropriate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif) ) but don't worry, it will only be slightly embarrassing if you glitch rather than anything life threatening

@Klink:I've made some assumptions to move things on to the main action but feel free to expand on the combat if you want(?)...Ricardo needs to be dealt with as a priority though...

@ASFA: A minor miracle might save Squire from an ugly demise...that's a Barrett round to the head...

@J: I think it's now time for you to post your character sheet up for all to admire, it's only fair as you can see theirs...I don't think it will have much of an effect on the game (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am instructing Legundo to "deal with the sniper". My thought is that we start with a possession attempt (3 successes) if that fails, possess anything nearby and confuse (3 successes). If he get hurt, I am expecting him to bug out.

It's aspected to the people in the tower...all those regrowth and concealment magics they've been tossing around.

Can you point me to a page ref for possession so I can save some hunting time? Thanks...

OK so how do play possession: can Legundo just jump off the ledge, and abandon body half way down? I would like Legundo to throw the Sniper rifle down...that makes it lot easier for people to see him

Edit: This changes my plan a bit, I won't bother with the mana barrier I was about to cast to protect the heavies. I will though provide counterspelling for the heavies (6 die, 8 vs combat)

They've got thermal, low light, vision enhancements.

But that should give you a basic idea of their perception.

I don't see why you can't launch him off the balcony...putting the rifle down won't help him being more visible as he has thermoptic camouflage on (heh, if you lot can wear it...) but Gash can designate his approx position on the TacNet...

or feel free to just roll everything yourself with some dice. It'll go faster (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oh I forgot the tacnet. They probably get perception bonuses from the TacNet. The Tacnet should be back up to 4 now that it's running on my beefy nexus.

That's a pretty massive Electronic Warfare attack that you are suffering...now I know you've got a large signal and that the rules are "EW Skill + signal vs THEIR EW skill + signal" but let's just say that they are rolling slightly more dice than you with a healthy dose of GM machination thrown into the mix!

Don't worry though...the drones you have LOS to are still in your control thanks to the microwave control links that have suddenly been installed on them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'll let you work out how much of a tacnet bonus you can get off them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif)

Couple of questions:
For Gash:
Is there the lovely trail of a rocket heading straight towards me? gulp
Can I instruct Legundo to slow down or glitch the rocket? i.e. how long is the rocket travel time: I need about 2 seconds to do this.
For Joshua:
Is the suppressing fire using very heavy weapons?
Can we shoot the person with LAW using tacnet for targeting?

Is there a spirit power that would allow him to affect a rocket? Anyway, I simply wanted you all to enjoy the cliffhanger, the rocket will arrive in this initiative pass
The suppressing fire is with M-23 assault rifles so no real worry for Joshua (they might sting a little...)
And the tacnet seems to have been mysteriously overloaded...now how could that have happened?!? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif)
Nothing stopping you shooting at them (although they have good cover...and medium range for most weapons I would think approx 30m away)

@Sabs: I've made some assumptions about the nature of the jamming but I will defer to your superior knowledge of the matrix rules if I've got these completely backwards... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

1. The jamming affects all wireless matrix channels and so stops comms, tacnet, normal drone communications etc...
2. You are able to command your drones in LOS with a laser/microwave beam and let the drone pilots execute those commands. They in turn can feed you video data (this is the bit I'm most hazy on) and therefore allow you and you alone to get the use of the tacnet as it's running on your personal nexus...
3. I will limit this to one set of commands per simple action as you'd need to redirect the laser for multiple drones
4. You can communicate with the rest of the mission via the microwave comms but the bandwidth is too small for matrix communications

Thanks for the answers about what is happening.

Legundo already has a service active to keep an eye out for things attacking the ship that he and I were in. An accident power on an incoming missile has a low chance of working, but its always funny to try, so here it is. Sadly for us it just didn't work. Pop goes another service.

In terms of actions, my plan is to tell the heavies to race us to the Sultan, mostly ignoring the suppressing fire if we can. Legundo can buff our movement speed to four times normal maximum, and the Heavies strike me as the kind of people who have athletics coming out of their ears (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think this means that I will have to go with the heavies (I'd like to tell you just how scared that makes me feel), but I can only do this if they are carrying me, and protecting me from the fire (crippled old men in civilian armour are not to effective when charging through huge gouts of suppressing fire.

I might as well be astral for all of this, as I more effective, and probably get in the heavies way less (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The last lot of astral scouting paid dividends, so I think I should repeat it.

I'm planning the round ahead, as I may be out of touch for a couple of days:

During this round I am scouting for more astral threats
  • IP number 1: Instruction Legundo
  • IP number 2: Telling Sarge to get us to the Sultan
  • IP number 3: Assensing like mad
I have put a few assensing rolls in the invisble castle for you to use as seems appropriate


My initiative = 11
Legundo's initiative = 13
I'll get Joshua to roll his initiative in the morning (after 40 hours on a plane/airport without sleep he cannot actually stay awake at the moment).

Sorry people but i can't get on to invisiblecastle acount is it ok if i roll the die on my dad acount (seth) when i am on holiday? Password reset is not working and my password is stored on a PC is on the other side of the world. Just for this post I'm using a guest acount

I'd like to fire a round of (3) shots at the person with the rocket launcher. My short range is 15m, medium is 150m. I have 7 agility, 6 archery and a smart gun link. I also have aim as a free action, giving 16 die. I'm doing this mostly to check the rules, and see how effective the bow is!

Here are my next two initiative rolls, and three archery rolls:
