"It sounds like we have a working plan then, just remember Bubba if it's too big of a group heading up with Morningstar scrub the mission and we'll go to the backup infiltration at night." Felix pauses before blinking a few times. "Now that we have a plan, when is the next question. Kliko, if you want another Dart gun, how long will it take to acquire? Otherwise are we looking at pulling this off tomorrow?"

Jamie nods, "I think it's sound. Just need to gather together all the gear."

"Sounds goods to mes. You knows where I can gets some of does mouth fizzy tablets?"

"We definately be pulling this tomorrow after the afternoon service." Checks his time "So we got to get Jamie a climbing harness tomorrow morning and prep the fence with a wire cutter and some tie ribs tonight. I have decent autopicker with me which should allow us to open the gate using some preset configuration."

They were running late on their round, the temple guards that be. Corsair 'd deplyed his drones some 30 minutes ago and according to schedule they should make their round just about now. Kliko hated the waiting, perhaps not as wired up like most others in the bizz -he couldn't afford any more at the time- he knew full well it was the waiting that killed your nerves.

"We got company" Corsair came in over the comm-sys. 'Just ten more minutes' "Copy that Charlie"

Fifteen minutes later they were all set. 'Piece of cake' with the right tumbler-pin settings on Kliko's autopicker-device.

20:00:27 Thursday, 6 April 2062 - UCAS Safe House - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie jacks in and starts searching around for an outdoors store that carries a climbing harness in her size. She finds a store not too far away, but they close at 21:00. She borrows the car real quick and hurries right over. After spending a few minutes finding one her size, she buys it. She gets back in the car and drives around a little looking for anyone following her before she drives back to the safehouse.

Today is the day! The team gathers around the kitchen table staring at a notebook, going over the plan written upon its pages.







13:00:21 Friday, 7 April 2062 - Kitchen, Temple of the Children of the Dragon - UCAS Sector, Denver

Say what you will about Bubba, but he proved himself a hard worker and a valuable asset to the brethren of the Children of the Dragon. Today he worked harder than ever, skipping breaks, not sampling as much food, actually cleaning without letting his shoulders slump. He had mixed feelings, knowing today may be his last at the Temple. He wasn't quite sure if he was helping or betraying his fellow Children. Morningstar had a good message, especially for the metahuman outcasts such as Bubba himself, but if Morningstar was a traitor, then this was best. Maybe someone even better could lead!

For the first time, Bubba hoped everything went to plan, and he didn't get, or in the case of this mission, have, to bash anyone's skulls in. Normally that was the fun part of the mission! As he reflected, the giant let out a large sigh, knowing what had to be done.


13:20:12 Friday, 7 April 2062 - UCAS Safe House - UCAS Sector, Denver

Corsair is at the wheel of the Gaz-Willys Nomad, which has now been dubbed as Charlie-1. Felix sits next to him, trying to relax and gather the energy that will be required for his part of the plan. Jamie sits behind him, checking her cyberdeck, more for ritual rather than function. It is always ready, but it is comforting to glide her fingers over the keys and ports, and to ensure all the data cables are packed in the bag, in good condition, and ready for use.

Kliko and Ludi finish loading up his Land Rover, or Kilo-1. Kliko folds the rear bench down, so the package can be stored more easily. He loops some nylon cord around the tie down rings on the floorboard. Ludi charges Felix's shotgun and places it under the first bench seat near the drivers side, so it can be easily obtained.

The vehicles were gassed up the previous night, so without further ado our team of shadowrunners began their mission, Corsair leading the way to the Rally Point, Kliko not too far behind.



13:53:48 Friday, 7 April 2062 - RALLY POINT 1 - Commerce City Baseball Fields - UCAS Sector, Denver

The two SUVs pull into the parking lot off of Monaco Street, and head west through the parking lot. They find an area close to the Holly Street exit and park side by side. They quickly go over the plan again, before Felix and Jamie move on with the mission.

The Sandler TMP's gun slide prodded into Kliko's side as it was fixed in place between his secure long coat and the urban camouflage full suit underneath. He felt safe, strapped in all the reasonable armor he'd usually wear in the field, the combat webbing, his security helmet within reach between his feet and the secure long coat to hide his loadout which could only mean one thing out on the streets. 'Trouble'

Ludmilla didn't fel thrilled about being under the wizzers spell. In the end it took the three of them quite some persuasiveness before she gave in, but even the best invisibility spell coudn't mask the odor of her cigarettes. The nicotine chewing gum helped some. Kliko very much appreciated the relaxing influence it exerted on the both of them. 'I should try these things at home one time'

As Charlie-1 set off in front of them, Kliko pushed Kilo-1 in behind...

Sometime later the scanner suddenly squeeked into life "Fraggin' cold! All clear outside, any coffee left in the canteen?, over."

13:55:13 Friday, 7 April 2062 - RALLY POINT 1 - Commerce City Baseball Fields - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie had repacked her backpack 4 times in the past day and a half. She never did handle the waiting well. The files uploaded into her headware had also been over as many times. There were at least 3 exit plans defined and Jamie had built a VR layout of the roof to walk around in. She was as ready as she could be.

Jamie was tightening her kit when she heard the radio chatter. It made her smile. She triggered her radio in reply, There better be some set aside for me.

13:59:32 Friday, 7 April 2062 - RALLY POINT 1 - Commerce City Baseball Fields - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie turns her radio down to the lowest level appropriate for close in work, then steps out of the Nomad and heads on down 58. It's the middle of the afternoon, so she tries not to look like a person on a mission. She looks around at various things as she moves along, trying to look like someone who belongs here. As she goes along, she works to keep Felix in sight, but not close by as well as looks around for anyone taking a significant interest in her or her shadow.

10:15:12 Friday, 7 April 2062 - UCAS Safe House - UCAS Sector, Denver

Felix takes a deep breath of the Denver air and centers himself on the nature of the city around him as he calls upon the spirit of the city, bringing it forth to protect Jamie and himself. A humanoid form of swirling litter and ticket stubs appears before him and nods to him before returning to the astral for now. Barely breathing hard, Felix shifts his concentration to the overcast skies above and begins to call forth the spirit of the storms above. While the spirit of the stormy skies responds to his call, the energies of the spirit leave him with a headache. Felix leaves the storm spirit with a simple instruction to await his call on the astral before warming up with a soykaff and a quick nap to recover from the headache.

14:02:48 Friday, 7 April 2062 - Intersection of East 58th and Fairfax - UCAS Sector, Denver

Walking down 58th Ave, Felix pulls his beanie down over his ears and mutters curses about the cold under his breath. He takes a seat on a bus stop bench and pulls out his pocket secretary as he looks around on the astral. With a deep breath Felix begins manipulating the mana around Jamie, rendering him invisible to the naked eye. The spells energies flow smoothly through Felix and he turns his attention to the next spell. A few more words in spanish muttered under his breath and Jamie's invisible form is floating a few centimeters off the ground. The additional energy flow starts a headache building in Felix's head, but nothing a few asprin won't fix later.

Felix moves into the astral realm and calls forth the spirit of the sky he had summoned. A quick instruction on the astral leaves Felix to maneuver Jamie past the confused watchers and onto the Temple roof before dropping the spells once Jamie is in place.

A few more seconds of fiddling with his pocket secretary has Felix cursing at his notional boss and walking back down the street the way he came.

14:14:15 Friday, 7 April 2062 - East 58th next to Cult of the Dragon Temple - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie couldn't tell when the Invisibility was applied, but she sure could tell when the Levitation was applied. She could still move, but her center of balance did not. That was entirely under the control of the spell.

The plan was for me to become invisible as well. She looked around desperately worried that someone saw her just vanish. No one seems to be really looking closely thankfully. At least Felix chose his time reasonably. I would have liked some warning.

She slowly floated up the wall. She starts getting worried as she realizes she has no line to grab if the spell drops. I hate this. I think Felix and I need to practice this a bit.

Jamie was grateful when she was set back on her feet on the roof. She moved quickly out of view of the camera, not knowing if the Invisibility spell was still in effect. Jamie murmurs into the subvocal mic, On roof

Standing still, out of sight, she pulls up the photo of the roof and starts correlating it to what she now sees. Satisfied her intel is good, she gets down to biz.

Crouching down out of sight of the camera, she slowly works her way to the junction box she needs connect into. Reaching back to her pack, she loosens the cinch on the pouch holding her microtronics kit. She lays it out on the course asphault of the roof and starts working to get the casing on the junction box open.

14:18:02 Friday, 7 April 2062 - Rooftop, Children of the Dragon Temple - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie reached the door and found an old video camera, which had seen better days, probably over a half of a century ago. The derelict camera, impotently hanging from its post above the stairwell door, staring at the ground. Its plastic case cracked and separated at its seams from years of exposure to the harsh elements. Any lettering or design on it's surface has long since faded. The red light indicating either power or record lies dormant.

The data line protruding from the rear of the antique is a slender black rubbery cord, like the one on Jamie's grandfather's old tv when she was little. It runs not into a power box, but directly through a hole drilled into the brick, just above the door.

Well, I guess I could have saved myself the trouble. Jamie wraps up her kit back up keeping everything organized.
She quietly climbs up above the stairwell. She lays her kit out carefully, securing it against sliding off. She takes a couple of thin probes and starts working on disassembling the camera case.

The plastic casing that houses the electronic innards of the camera has taken the worst the Denver environment has to offer. Jamie is able to easily remove the battered cover, as it is no longer even mechanically secured.

She looks for wires that are more familiar amongst the late 1900s technological dinosaur. There is not even a hard drive aboard the device.

Frag, what a mess. Jamie connects her multitool to the actual dataline trying to determine if it's actually got a charge. If this things not hooked into the actual security system, I'll have to find another way inside.

She triggers her comm, Kilo, this camera is archaic. It doesn't appear functional as a camera. I'm working on trying to make it a jackpoint, but I'm skeptical. I'm running tight on time and I may miss our schedule.

'Drek, assumptions are the mother of all major clusterfucks' Looking at Ludmilla 'be cool chummer, show some fraggin adaptability.' he triggers his slotted comm-system:

"Copy that Juliet, can you rig alongside the camera at the back and try that one?
If you can't deck it disable it, so they can't find out on short notice and get the frag out of there."

14:19:33 Friday, 7 April 2062 - Rooftop, Children of the Dragon Temple - UCAS Sector, Denver

Jamie found the device had two lines, the old data line and then a simple power cord. She tapped the power line with her voltage tester, which the end lit up indicating there was electricity flowing through the wires.

She plugged her multi-tool into the rubber coated data line until it indicated it had hit conductive material. She is ready to jack in.

Blackness. Must be the slow data flow. Paraku doesn't manifest, instead the only thing in the echo of the darkness. Jamie's consciousness starts to spin with this strange disorientation, her head beginning to feel like it would float away.

Jamie falls back into the real world, catches her breath, and scans the area for another avenue of attack. If I could hack the maglock...

She looks for the maglock on the door, while avoiding the electric eye. What the frag!? What kind of door doesn't have a lock, let alone a handle!?

Frustrated, Jamie starts putting the cover back on the camera. She subvocalizes, Kilo, this camera is unworkable. I'm moving toward the cameras on the backside.

Jamie packs up her kit and tucks it into her pocket. She steps gingerly down onto the roof top. She looks back at the place she left checking to be sure it looks identical. She heads off to the back side. She moves slowly over to the edge of the roof and looks down at the cameras and the street below.

Jamie finds the black half dome against the south east corner of the building, overlooking the alleyway. It is within arms length.

Jamie checks her Math SPU for the time and curses. Taking a deep breath, she pulls some tape out of her kit. The camera is most likely facing down. Let's not warn them by letting the cover fall away. She tapes the bubble in place around it's upper edges.

She looks at the top of the camera and takes out the tools she will need to open it up. She checks carefully to insure the casing is not alarmed before she starts taking the case apart.
