What I'm actually thinking (and can't have a civilian like Adrian say): There's cameras connected to horribly insecure systems with always-on wifi everywhere. Thanks to the cab's record we know where Adrian picked her up and when. So if we find an low-sec cam covering that spot you could hack it, go back to the time of the pick-up, watch where she came from and repeat the process til we see something enlighting or that technique fails.

@OGDWD
Curious what Adrian's fixer of that kind of question from that kind of customer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And completely unrelated but: Where do you want us to handle Karma -> Improvement conversion on a scale from "Downtime + reasonable explanation" to "Neo: Can you fly that thing? Trinity: Not yet *gets her cell; speed-dials operator* Tank I need a flight programme for a ..." scale?

hmm well soy you certainly can try what you mentioned, though the IC in the cabs governing node will leave you feeling like its a tit bit nipply out... Adrian has a probably more safe idea tbh.

@adrian: im on the side of: downtime + reasonable explanation. Due to the nature of the game were in karma and money flow like water; I prefer that you pass improvements by me, and if I feel you've given an rp reason to increase something, then you can have it, otherwise not possible.

Sounds fair enough...a bit of searching on the shadow data bases will give you the name "Sticks" who has recently gone freelance (possibly a slight liberty there?!?) from the Deepwatch mercenary group...sure he could help you!

You can tell there were 15 attackers in fire teams of 3. Two of these were dog teams with a big alsation mutt in each...you have some of the communal space footage from inside the buildings and the dogs were used to target and bring down individuals who received 'less lethal' attacks from the foe...

Is anyone else waiting for me for GM actions? I think Mr Hill and Gemeaux still need to meet up and possibly retrieve their package?!?

I'm sure people are busy before Christmas so happy to pick things up in the New Year if that's a help?!

@ Aria and Jx: Indeed, sorry for the major delay here, been writing and rewriting my tongue lashing with the Abbot.

wow, according to directions, it takes roughly an hour and 14-16 minutes to get to where Jessica got picked up. A. Lucky I have a bike. B. Damn vision, majority of it's on the highway.

@ Aria & OGDWD: In the interests of potential hilarity, Gemeaux is going to try and charm the toddler...

Charmed indeed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) He'll even save the projectile vomit for Mr Hill (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif)

Just a quick clarification: I'm not so mean that I'm going to make you take these two all the way to Seattle! The other lot are on a separate run (although Mr Hill may well be aware that there's a second group doing a similar run!) Your package is to be taken to Clearwater (spot the theme?) which is somewhere in the wilds of Exmoor. I'm assuming your flight will take you to London first and then you can sort cross country rides from there (ah, fun and frolics with the yokals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

Roger that, just had the abbot give him a suitable overview as his true mission is still to infiltrate and convert or kill the natives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ; time honored catholic standard no?

Also : Anselm is considering stun bolting the kid (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) how much bad karma do you think he could rack up for that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) "But your grace, it was only a little one! He slept like a baby the whole way." "All the way to the UK?" "Ah... hmmm about that.... not quite, all the way to seattle actually >>"

Yeah actually two things for you soy:

1. Where exactly is your apartment? I followed you on the map but you never stated which way it was on 161...

2. I need 4 driving rolls please, your eye is twitching even worse and the stoplights to get on the I-5/ all the lights from the passing commuters/ go-gangers etc is giving you a tad bit in the way of zomg i cant see!

And here comes the pain.

I actually marked it on the 2072 map with a purple icon in Edgewood... Or not because I didn't go back and save the location -facepalm- *FIXED*

REA + Pilot (Bike), 4 rolls. (3 hits, 2 hits, 3 hits, 2 hits) I broke the barrier! 3 is now max!

@Soy: you have some issues midway up I-5 buy hey, that drone-piloted semi didnt need to stay on the on ramp anyways right? Good thing it chose to hit the warehouse rather than you... drone pilots are so smart these days aren't they?

Heh, nice, down I-5 and U-405 (if you wanna believe giggle) and then almost the exact same path back. About 30 minutes each way. And I'd thought Adrian would take longer to get there than Saint...
I'm gonna edit my IC post, adding the location info.

Yeah I checked, you were great on the parts until you got the 2s... flare comp helps with sudden flares, not fast moving lights. I am amazed how badly invis castle hates you though; I usually higher than average myself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) .

I have a character in another game that Invisible Castle absolutely hates. I've had half a mind to change that character's name on the system to see if he gets better luck.

@Ears: I know it's nitpicky but can you make sure you are using yellow for the comm messages and not using quote tags? Just makes it easier on the eyes when picking game elements out for future scenes.

@OGDWD Sure. I just blindly assumed that nesting tags would do the sensible thing. That's what you get for posting without checking the formatting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And standing (or actually sitting) corrected, I gotta admit it even does if one writes the tags in instead of only thinking about doing so...

Too true, like my Assassin on Diablo 2. Always named her the same, she was a chippie ho'. So many damn gemstones. Some people have all the luck. Or I'm gonna have to hunker down and make a specialist so I brute force my way into the high hit ratios.

Ok, just a quick round up of where I think we are in the thread before Christmas (it’s unlikely that I will be able to post much before the New Year but we’ll see…)

E:PL / Copperhead, Dealer, Ælias
  • Ælias is on his way to rendezvous with you on the edge of the Chicago – coming in to one of the commercial airports that serve the corp belt around the city.
  • You need to decide if you want to ask for more equipment (I strongly suggest you do having just read the Feral Cities section on Chicago!). You might also want to take in stuff for barter. Don’t forget a sat uplink if you want a reliable matrix feed inside the zone (presumably the Blackwater site has matrix connectivity otherwise all those hiding TMs would go dollaly in short order (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
  • Note that it is likely that you will have to walk in and out because of the state of the roads!

E:PL / Gemeaux, Mr Hill
  • You are about to arrive in the UK – one of the most repressed, potentially depressing places in Europe (I should know, I live here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )
  • You seem to be about to get round customs but you still need to decide how you are going to get to the West Country – note that beyond the sprawls (and toxic zones) things have regressed to an idyllic lifestyle of pastoral villages ruled over by the aristocracy – and they don’t appreciate visitors!!!

Fre∑dom / Fractal
  • You’ve gathered preliminary data and retired to your ‘lair’ to consider it / run it through filters / do what you need to do…
  • You still need to contact Summer…remind me and she will provide you with some of the data I gave Jotamon and Doza which should help link the threads of the story together…

Balefire / Fractal (& Applied Cheese)
  • I’ve set the scene for the group coming together. I suspect Fractal will choose to come on board?!?
  • I will do an ‘intro to the group’ post and then hopefully AP can wrap his head around a run for us? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and comes back fresh with lots of posts to keep things motoring along as they have been (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
