@Aria, Machine Ghost
If you go to a clinic and you get additions to existing cybereyes that simply fill in capacity, with no essence loss, do you take a wound? Or do they just pop the mods in and home you go? Technically, since it is zero essence lost, zero essence times three boxes equals no wound, but thought I'd check first. PS - NOT thinking of doing it at the Crime Mall!!! |

@Aria, Machine Ghost The way I read it, as long as no surgery is required there is no wound to heal. As long as the cyber is externally accessible, no surgery is needed. Cybereyes would be included in that. It will just need someone with cybertechnology skills and tools. SR5p144 Cybertechnology. Not sure off hand what the extended test difficulty and interval SR5p48 should be, but as a first cut I would say easy/average and quick/short, so should only take a few minutes. Might go with Hard and quick, for the finicky work of doing both eyes, and needing to work on small items in already 'installed' cyber gear.If you go to a clinic and you get additions to existing cybereyes that simply fill in capacity, with no essence loss, do you take a wound? Or do they just pop the mods in and home you go? Technically, since it is zero essence lost, zero essence times three boxes equals no wound, but thought I'd check first. @LG
Titus's background added to character post, jammer added per Aria's suggestion. Gonna just use my usual colour coding for now as I'm not sure if there's a standard, so let me know if that's an issue. |

@LG- justkelly Lany will respond shortly, just wanted to give Overdrive a chance to respond. No problem. I don't really expect "personal" responses. I'm just writing how the character flows. As this is only my second SR pbp, and my other is just a month older than me here, I am open to feedback. |

Be nice to finally GM again (PbP or otherwise), been on too Lon if a gaming break until recently Sounds like it might be time for me to dust off Requiem and submit an SR5 version (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Very Old Elf weapons specialist...formerly a Firewatch instructor turned runner/merc...was Silk's lover for a bit... I'm itching to play with skills A and resources B, will mean C attributes, but then I did say he was old... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I dare say it will turn out a bit differently with a re-write but here's the SR4 version I played with in 2072 and some of my Emerging games: <<Requiem>> ...I will probably add an SR5 tab to this doc to allow a comparison between them... |

@Drace re: lock n load Yes please. I'll get you a character soon. Okay, first time building this type of character so please bear with my questions. Love the armor, thanks!!! Capacity of the suit, I can fill easily with the traditional stuff, no problem. The helmet though, is the capacity for the audio/video type mods, so I don't need glasses or ear buds when I"m in the suit? I'm also going to assume the bio-monitor uses capacity in the suit not helmet. ;--) With the given licenses, what others do I need, should I get? How many IDs am I going to need, other than the real SIN. Meaning, how much shadow work versus legitimate military work? I may have others later. Just keep posting here, including character when finished? Added question: Is there a reason to NOT take the SINner Corporate @ 25 Karma? |

Its gonna make Lany jump out of her skin; she knows that Nikki is not one to make idle threats. It may happen again... if she is in a panic and the moment is just right for it. Just keep posting here, including character when finished? Added question: Is there a reason to NOT take the SINner Corporate @ 25 Karma? 1) Yes, the helmet is for audio/visual mods as well as trodes if you don't want a hole drilled into your spine for a 'jack. As well, I'm pretty sure some sensors (within common sense/reason) can be put in. And yes the biomonitor is in the suit 2)The free licenses give you the ability to work as a paid soldier internationally, as well as carry military while on the job (actively getting paid) as well as to own it. Other useful licenses would include; Magic, Emerged, Cyberdeck, Cyber/Bioware and concealed carry for when not on the job. These would be bought as legal licenses for your legal SIN for the same price as a rt3 license, which I totally didn't think to add to the main page, so thanks for making me think of that. 4) All work will be legal/quasi legal so no fake SINs will be required. Most illegal actions can be masqueraded as legal ones ( ie. assassination was actually a targeted raid that resulted in the Oppfor leader's death). If you want fake SINs, go for it, they just won't be of much use. 5)And yes, you have to pay 20% of all income to the corporation ( so only 1600$ per 2 posts rather than 2000$, which adds up). If you want to be from a corporate military but not use the corp sins you can always say when you resigned you were removed from their database and received a national SIN from your home country again, or applied for one if you never owned one previously. @Overkill, sending you a message. Would love for some collaboration. The pmsc here is going to be rather small, having only two teams of operatives (mechanized heavy infantry, one of which is the player team) and them regular mercs, roughly a small platoon divided into a few small sites they are protecting. But there could definitly be ties to your group from CoP. Will PM ya about it. @ Aria, sounds great and welcome aboard! Once we get to 4/5 players we can figure out te metaphysical of the company (any philosophies and attitudes they hold) and the like and then start the first mission (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) and the tie in with Silk will help keep the world cohesive! |

That is actually just the kind of group Valkyrie likes to work with and support; small, tight-knit units not bound by strong allegiance to the Megacorps. (Everyone has to work with them, but not necessarily be dedicated to them.) Valkyrie provides material and logistical support to many independent groups, sponsoring their creation wherever possible on the 5 continents VTID operates on; they could very well be supplying some of PSMC's military hardware. They are also renowned for their combat deckers, and could be the source of Phoenix's Tech Support. Will chat more with you about via PM; this has the creative juices flowing strong. |

Not real worried about it, but…. With all the cool traffic going back and forth, a bit unclear sometimes about what is texts and what is coming over the microtransceivers that were what we planned to use for comms. With Al currently glued to a rifle scope… @Aria - would sending JUST incoming text messages to my image link constitute being in the dread AR? |

I think most commlinks still have a visual screen so you don't need to be in AR to get texts, and perhaps a tiny vid feed...it does mean you need to look at your wrist, or wherever your 'link is rather than have it appear in the corner of your vision...I would say AR would be the sniper's friend in this case but it's up to you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just a personal preference but I prefer cyan for speech and yellow for comms (and leave it at that because I'm lazy!) ...that said I've no problem with whatever system you want to post in as long as it is more or less clear what your intent is! |

I thought there was a whole other 2075 color scheme/theme going on somewhere which included Cyan for speech. I'm I glitched? I know my eyes are going, but it's hard for me personally to read the deep color tones in RHat's post... Either way, I've been swamped with work, life and everything in between. I'm still here and WILL have a post up today. Sorry for my slackiness. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

(Can you BELIEVE they cut Simsense Vertigo down to five lousy points - it's like the WORST flaw there is once you start plahying it, especially with all these crazy new wireless bonuses!). No worries - will keep an eye on the commlink screen as usual! |

Sorry that those colours are difficult for you, though - at the least, I'll rework the hex values (How's the blue, by the way? It's technically brighter, using higher colour values across the board). Now I'm wondering if they're causing issues when I use them on the other site - background's different there, so I don't think so, but now you've got me thinking I should ask... (Ironically, part of the motivation for using those colours is that I tend to find the fully saturated tones to be too bright. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) ) (Edit: Just used a different red in a new post; is that any better?) |

I know my eyes are going, but it's hard for me personally to read the deep color tones in RHat's post... Tip for hard to read color combinations: Click/drag across the content in the browser. That will switch the colors to standard highlighted mode. That might be easier to read. Or not...snip.. Depending on OS and browser, you may be able to set the foreground and background highlight colors to you own preferences. Sample sample sample sample Sample sample sample |
