5)And yes, you have to pay 20% of all income to the corporation ( so only 1600$ per 2 posts rather than 2000$, which adds up). If you want to be from a corporate military but not use the corp sins you can always say when you resigned you were removed from their database and received a national SIN from your home country again, or applied for one if you never owned one previously.

The 25 Karma version of Corporate SIN is 10%, the lowest tax rate of the 4 options (the other 3 range from 15% to 25%), though it says it has the most potential challenges in working with shadowrunners. If we are all some sort of "legal" military, then the "prejudiced" obstacles may be avoided as we are all in the same situation. We are all just committing to paying taxes of some amount to somebody.

If I'm interpreting this wrong, let me know.

Do you want the character details in the Lock-n-Load recruitment thread or in this OOC?

@LG I'm going to have my hands full with school today and tomorrow. Just so I don't slow things down, assume LeFey is monitoring the security systems throughout the facility and alert the team if anything is out of place. She will also look for the patients that need to be extracted. And when I get a spare moment, I'll make some rolls for compiling sprites.

@Justkelly:
My apologies you're right. Criminal is 15, limited is 20 and reg corp is 10. I guess perhaps some mercs may not trust you but that's about it. Mostly b to thing but not a mechanic of dice or anything.

And in the lock and load for now so we don't clutter here up until he need the ooc for excessive dice rolling (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@Aria/Machine Ghost:
How do you want me to do an availability roll for the cyberdoc? Looking for alpha aluminum bone lacing.

I'm wondering if there is such a scheme, frankly; if so I'll certainly comply. Sorry that those colours are difficult for you, though - at the least, I'll rework the hex values (How's the blue, by the way? It's technically brighter, using higher colour values across the board). Now I'm wondering if they're causing issues when I use them on the other site - background's different there, so I don't think so, but now you've got me thinking I should ask...

(Ironically, part of the motivation for using those colours is that I tend to find the fully saturated tones to be too bright. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) )

(Edit: Just used a different red in a new post; is that any better?)

Actually that new red is much easier to read, thanks for the switch

YeahI should have known better against the grey background; eyeballing it, I think the luminance levels were pretty close, which would make distinction difficult.

@L&L Nope Marwynn, the only set players who have as far as I know is Aria's Requim who is a street Sam style character and Rayanne is looking at building a decker. JustKelly is working on the Bg and I'm not too sure on her stats or if has a role in mind so your free to play with what you want (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It looks like we'll need some Magical support. I'll see if I can do anything in that regard.

Just let me know if you want me to add a price multiplier.

I wonder how hard it would be to steal a boat from one of the residential docks?...What I wouldn't give for a simple sniper job right now...Perhaps I'll head back to Casablanca after this job, or maybe Madrid...I wonder if Matthew wants to...

Good news here: I do have Pilot Watercraft, so should this become needed...

In our last tabletop game the 2 sammies were escaping the scene in a small helicopter (like a lifeboat for the massive airship we were on) and had 3 or 4 good rounds of lucky flying before we realised that you can't default on pilot aircraft. At that point it seemed mean to have them plummet from the sky (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Heh. How much Edge got burned that day? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Also, if we do decide we need to steal one of those, the one issue is gonna be getting me marks on it to be able to Control Device properly... Meaning either Puppeteer or spoofing the owner, as far as I can tell.

Also, what are the rules when it comes to posting in the General IC thread? If I wanted to, say, write up some posts that are set a few days before the run (or even back in Overdrive's ganger days) to flesh out the character and his backstory, do I just go ahead and do it? Does that then count towards total posts for purposes of Karma and Nuyen?

He burned his 1 edge quite early on. In total he made at least a dozen tests, probably 15 or so, on 5 dice without failing any. We were amazed.

I think the policy is 'Just do it' and 'Yes'.

I've kinda been skipping over this thread unless it's CoP related. Is there another game just kicking off? I may have time for another, considering CoP is kinda slow-moving.

Sorry folks, I've not fallen off the planet, just been drowning in work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Mr J had it right on posting in the general thread. Any karma/cash awards can be applied across the 2075 threads, although if you've got multiple characters it might be sensible to split the karma according to who you are posting as!

Looking Glass is just taking off, they are quite a big crew but I've no objection to a late arrival (it's a complicated run!). Tribes always has room for more!

We have a few MIA players, and I think no magical support at all (given that I don't think we've heard from the player of the Mystic Adept...), so there's definitely space. Be good to have another poster in the mix.

@mister_joshua: Here is a bump from a previous summary of the team/roles that we have so far. Bolo and Wreck have backed out/disappeared, and haven't heard much from Violet in a while. That leaves Ali as our sole magic support, so I suppose that would make a magic user a plus.

Interior Role | Deployment:

Bolo (NPC): Infiltration/HVAC Specialist (Infiltrator)
Lefey: Comm Control/ Lead Hacker | CIC (Central Interior Command post) (Technomancer)
Lany: Physical Security/ Backup Infiltrator, Mole Protection, and Patient #1 search | CIC (Face/Assassin)
Ali: Magical Infiltration, Framing the Doc, and Patient #2 search (Sneaky Adept)
Violet: Magical Detection, Security, and Patient #3 search (Mystic Adept)

Exterior Role | Deployment:

Nikki: Extraction Specialist | Outside the North perimeter (Assassin)
Al: Sniper Cover/ Evac Driver | Outside the North perimeter fence (Dockworker)
Wreck: "One of the sams waiting outside..." | Outside North perimeter fence (MIA)
Overdrive: Comm Control/ Drone Support/ Evac Driver | Outside the North perimeter fence (Rigger)

Perhaps a final summarization of the plan is in order?

1) Get inside the Facility disguised as HVAC crew.
2) Locate the patients we have been advised to extract.
3) Frame doctor for medication theft.
4) Once everyone is in place, set off the Hazmat Ruse
5) Insert the Mole disguised as another HVAC crewmember in place of the patient we are extracting.
6) Get Out?

Interior roles-

Tracking Patients- I think one patient each for Lany, Ali, and Violet, with the one designated to find the Mole's patient providing babysitting for the switch. I will keep the Mole with Lany and LeFey at the CIC until we are ready to pull the actual switch.

Interior Security and Support- Lany is running physical security on the inside, and will be stationed at the CIC to go provide assistance to anyone who needs it on the interior crew.

Framing the Doctor- Ali, or Lany (all have locksmithing and palming skills necessary)

Escaping the Facility- Violet, Ali, or Lany (depending on how each of their objectives have progressed, can help whoever needs it during evac.

Vehicles- I think we need another vehicle going inside with the HVAC van (which needs to be able to fit 8+; from the inside 5 crewmembers plus up to 3 patients) just to be sure to have the room

HVAC "Hazardous Spill" aka: the Hazmat Ruse- Bolo, Lefey, Ali- this is the measure we will be using to make the switches, calling out an accident with some toxic chemicals that will require part of the facility to be evacuated. We don't pull this until all patients have been located and we are ready to pull the switch for the Mole and the other patient extractions.

Protocols if Comms go down- Good question here justkelly, as the interior and exterior teams will in all likelihood lose contact. Perhaps a simple beacon from the inside could send a visual signal to one of Overdrive's Drones on overwatch if we need extraction.
-the outside contacting the inside after comms go down would need to be much more overt for us to have a chance of noticing it while inside the facility- a series of flares, sound blasts from a siren or megaphone? Suggestions could be useful for this point

@CoP: I was waiting for Aria to give some kind of introduction for Tresckow to the rest of the group, but sadly she has been swamped with work and hasn't gotten to it yet. Trying to think of a way to break the ice and get our momentum going. Gonna send a PM and see if I get any hints/ideas.

This game will live!!!

I'm going to work on a character today and hopefully have it up this afternoon.

I was reading through the IC and wanted to ask - in the OP it mentions daisy-chaining RFID tags to get matrix access into the facility. Does this still work in 5th edition? I was of the impression that signal chains were a thing of the past with the new protocols and it's now all grids. It doesn't really matter for this game, there are other ways to achieve this anyway, but I wanted to ask for my own understanding (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
