Apologies for my absence.. spent the last 3 days in hospital -_- Dizzyness and troubles getting oxygen were revealed to be a blood clot in my lung. Im back home now, and slowly on the mend

For the shotgun, no, no need to roll. As long as it is using flechette and you keep shooting, you'll be able to stop the rats building their rodent pyramid and reaching Steamer. Of course, he's still going lower and lower, so it will get harder and harder to keep them all scattered....

As for Silkie - there are two obvious targets, and I don't know which one she wants to go for...

Let me clearly state the status of your seven foes:

Left side
1) dropped to knees gripping ears after Maus cast spell
2) apparently resisted spell, seems to be protecting 3) from the spell, and seems to be about to cast a spell on you
3) apparently okay from spell, and has drawn a machine pistol

right side
4) apparently shot by AK
5) apparently dropped to ground to take cover from AK
6) apparently nailed by Maus' spell, trying to cover eyes/ears
7) apparently nailed by Maus' spell, and fell into rat pit

So let me know which target and we can move forward.

@Vegas - if you're out there and have time, would love to hear Maus' intentions.
If not your dance card is too full right now, we'll make do.
Don't have an initiative roll for you, but looks like more than one action pass per combat turn is unlikely for her anyway.
With her focused concentration she doesn't have to worry much about sustaining the Mass Confusion, but if we get to subsequent turns I can say she is on delayed action watching for emerging threats.

Well 2 or 3 I guess, probably 3 as the machine pistol is perhaps the more obvious threat...let's hope Maus can offer some spell defence against whatever nastiness 2 has in mind!

@Tribes - great - thanks - and apologies - thought we'd get to some resolution tonight because I also thought there were some other rolls out there...but have looked back carefully and we still do not have initiatives or defensive rolls for this first post-you-surprised (nuked)-them turn.

So that - initiatives plus ranged defense plus soak plus dare I say resistance to mana-based spellcasting...

And as long as Vegas is off the scene, I'll make sure to add any spell defense Maus can provide to whatever you roll.

Sorry, been crazy this week too...hopefully better next week!

Anyway, drives contain archived research data on the Sound Mental Health Facility, including personnell files, 'patient' records, research notes etc. Although it is in science geek language (which I'm not going to try and replicate!), you can more or less figure out that the original intent of the research was looking at long term VR exposure and the effects on the psyche. Most of it was run by staff that cross reference with original Transys staff, although there are some Fuchi elements in there too. There are also data feeds that went to something called 'Project Imago' but this is not archived here. Brain wave patterns etc...

Many of the 'patients' were volunteers from the Stillwater enclave after it was attacked by corp mercs back in 2070 (ish)...although there are a few corp citizens and others thrown into the mix...

@Tribes - was really hoping to get enough resolved to put up an IC and then state some OOC resolution so you could also IC if you wanted.

However, one of the first things that happens in the combat turn (now that both sides are shooting!) is that Silkie gets shot pretty good.
Armor prevented physical damage, but as it stands now after ranged defense and soak it will be 7S plus knockdown.
So I thought I'd pause and see if you wanted to use any Edge.
Note that rerolling fails on your ranged defense won't help much, as burst penalty chops your pool down to two, so you'd only be rerolling one die.
So, not life or death yet but basically just a courtesy check to see if you want to reroll the soak.

@Tribes - yeah, afraid he did not take that long step into the rat pit...

Silkie uses commanding voice on 3
Cam hamburgers rats - he is still keeping them from reaching Steamer. He could probably take at least one combat pass of a break, as he's slowed them a bit, plus quite a few are now swarming the easier target of the guy that fell in.
3 shoots Silkie for 7S plus knockdown
2 stunbolts Cam for 1S damage
Maus manabolts 2 - he doesn't go down, but he definitely got hit

At the moment, no change in status of the various others that are in various states of having been shot, being eaten, or, for most of them, just wussing out to the chaotic world spell.
I assume Maus is sustaining that...

Both will declare the same action, 'spray and pray' on the two standing opponents...Silkie will use suppressive fire (from the deck) and then struggle to her feet...she'll be trying not to hit Cam so the angles might mean she can't target the foe but hopefully they won't know that (and it'll be damn loud!)...

All good - except Suppress is a complex, so no standing up.
(There is also a test to stand up if you have a wound, I think.)

Suppressive fire also needs a roll, actually.

And I don't have any shotgun rolls for Cam, since none was really needed as he just shot into masses of rats.

If you are busy, I can easily generate those rolls based on your character sheets.

Just let me know what's easiest for you.

After those are resolved, we'll be starting the next combat turn, so any declarations/rolls for that would not hurt either.

Tribes - okay, resolved Silkie and Cam's attacks.

Cam felt like his spread was right on the two guys, but it is really hard to tell for sure because the AK attack was at about the same moment, and they sent them right to the floor.

That is the second use of Suppressive Fire, so with a 38-round clip, the AK is now empty (and I'm pretty sure any spare clips are on the dead guy at the top of the stairs).

Feel free to put up an IC.
Or I'll be happy to fill it in if no one does for a few days.

That ends the Combat turn.

Need initiative and declarations from everyone.

Hmm - are there still some unresolved issues between RD and Aria about the drives?

From eTher - still no answer on whether she needs any attackers alive or not.

Besides those two points, shall we just go to the hotel and think about how we want to set up a bait/counterambush?

And who is still in this game?
I am guessing me, Mr. J, RD, and Aly.
Vegas seemed to want to pass on this next phase, and no peep from Shadowrenamon for quite some time....
