Yeah, still limping along, I'm hoping this new phase of the run will galvanise things somewhat... Do you want me to recruit some more runners to assist you? New blood might help?!? Seems a good point to bring in more help! That's assuming you are still enjoying the game despite the pace? Could call it a wrap here and start fresh???

Well I'm enjoying my character and the team. Not really bothered what run we're doing tbh, so if you fancy a change-up that's your call (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm enjoying this one, but I've enjoyed all of yours so I'm sure I'd enjoy whatever else you wanted to do

I am not tired of this run at all.

Also not tired of the team.

Will miss Ali if Vegas takes a break, but it's been great having that relationship.

I like Al's growing friendship with Jan.

I like LeFey's mysterious secretiveness.

I think I will like Angel once we get to know her better.

Not bothered by the pacing, personally, as I have far more opportunities to do SR things than I have time to take advantage of.
(Maybe if the pace picked up just enough that we weren't sometimes wondering if the game was still on...).

Yeah, same here. I'd prefer to finish the current storyline, though I wouldn't say no to something different afterwards.

And adamu, I'm gratified to hear that you like LeFey. I'm trying my best to play a character who's somewhat off in her own world, but trying to support her team.

Right then, you lot are next on my IC agenda (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) , yes, I need one given the games I'm running/involved in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I might 'time jump' you in the next IC to get things back to a steadier pace...if you want to do things in the intervening time you can always do a 'flashback' post...

Tbh I'd find it quite exciting if your next post began "Jan slid behind the craps table as the bullets thudded into the velvet top "

In other words, I'll up for being fast forwarded and dropped anywhere (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Edit: In fact I've decided to throw up a post. If anyone's unhappy with it then I can always remove it/edit it into something else. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I weren't sure how feasible an attack on the casino floor would be, but the image was too cool to pass up - makes me think of Fallout: New Vegas. I deliberately left it vague what time of day/night it was, and who was assaulting us so Aria can fill in. I figured whatever time it was there would be a reason for us to be on the casino floor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

@TLG - Okay, I got myself behind the bar and right next to the weapons locker.

Was going to use the conveniently dead guard's swipe card to open it up and toss a rifle to Jan, but thought I'd better get a GM sign-off on that.

It may seem a bit easy, but I would submit that had we not decided to fast-forward the story so precipitously, a more measured (and, in PbP, eternal) approach would have included plans to have our weapons with us in here.
So I reckon getting some decent guns for Al and Jan just sets us at a reasonable starting point, from which our esteemed GM will no doubt unleash hell.

Weapons cool, Aria?

@TLG -

ooh, Aria, I almost forgot...can we assume that a few days chilling in this swanky hotel is enough to reset Edge for this game?

Damn, got to add Hard Targets to my reading list (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) still haven't finished chrome flesh and data trails yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) ...will try not to let it stop me getting an IC out for you lot though...

@TLG

Okay, guns distributed.

Sorry to Angel - if you're still around, AlyG??? - for no weapon. If you're around I kind of imagined you well armed and staged somewhere to come in as a medic/counter-ambush once they hit Al & Jan, as that was your idea...

Anyway, Aria - here is a Perception test - just trying to get a tiny bit more clarity what is happening before trying to mount a counterattack.
Perception test of some idea of tactical situation: 7d6t5 2

Do you want Initiative and stuff now?

@Tribes - okay, bumped the IC.

Because, why not? Felt like writing something.

So - Aria and Vegas, if we want to continue, need to know what you are doing in the next combat turn.

But honestly, I know you guys are both busy, and this game hasn't exactly been my best work.

If you want to keep it going as an "as and when we have time" thing, happy to keep GMing.

Or if you guys are interested in streamlining your gaming commitments, I'd perfectly understand.
I'd just throw up a wrap up IC for continuity's sake, and sorted.

Just let me know!

@Tribes

I'm willing to keep limping it along if Aria is up for it (and if you're still in for running it Adamu). I know we are all busy, but my insane season is drawing to a close so I'll have a bit more time to write (I hope!)

Ultimately I'll go either way with this one depending on the consensus (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Second that!

Anyway - as in my last IC, unless they come trying to root us out, I just don't see a reason to attract attention by engaging these guys. Much give them another seconds to herd people into this theater and then try to get upstairs with LeFey...

Al's call for everyone to check in was for OOC as much as IC purposes...

If anyone else is in this game still besides me, Mr. J, and RD, can you please let us know, just so we don't leave anyone out?

And RD - I think Jan's last post suggested you were upstairs somewhere. Can you let us know exactly where?

@Aria - haven't put up a dice wall yet as not sure will be fighting right now.
Suffice to say that whatever Al's initiative, his weapon is readied and he is on delay to act if any attack is directed at him.

I'm running with his suggestions. She's upstairs in the room. Should I roll for any hacking attempts, or can we assume she has access to the casino host? If the latter, she'll be trying to use the any security measures to help Jan and Al.

You have a data tap on the host and therefore access, I honestly can't remember if that gives you 1 mark on the host/device you are connected to, let's assume you have that too...any actions will still be illegal hacks and therefore accumulating OS as normal though. No active defences as such, you can use cameras and door locks to monitor/control events to some extent. There are triad hackers in the system too trying to monkey with it! So you can hack them or try and hack the gear of the attackers perhaps??? You might be able to come up with inventive ways to use passive systems against them...ram them with cleaning drones perhaps? Well there are more active players in TLG so you might be better placed continuing with Ali??? Even if you post irregularly, if you give us a vague idea of what you're doing that would be fine! You could perhaps upcycle Maus and introduce her to the Tribal Beats game over on ShadowGrid if you still want to play her (and she's an interesting character!!!)?

Adamu has hinted he might like to GM his own game in the near future and I wouldn't want to spoil that to keep Tribes limping along so in this instance I think we make it Adamu's call...we carry on with intermittent posting for now or wrap things up and concentrate efforts on our other games...either works for me but I'm not going to commit much time to Tribes here as I'm back to GMing for them over on SG! Being South African, Jan is a bit stereotypically racist. I feel him and Al may have that in common (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

No offence meant to anyone. No Chinese people were hurt in the posting of this game.

@Tribes - okay, thanks guys for your input. On balance, looks like we are going to cull this one - we lost a lot of players, and I don't think any of the three of us was really married to it.

I'll do a wrap-up IC tomorrow, just cuz I'm a continuity freak.

Vegas - like everyone has said, if you are still too busy for TLG, we understand. But if you do want to continue with it, I can either (A) edit my earlier IC comment about Ali not being there in the casino, or (B) you could have told us you were going just to be super sneaky, but really you're still around (and you come in and shoot some bad guy in the head just as he's about to kill one of us)!

@TLG - thanks for the confirmation, RD.

Things have gone a bit crazy on the casino floor, but let's not forget why we're here. We're drawing an attack so we can turn the tables and squeeze the attackers for info on their boss. I am definitely not convinced these Triad street soldiers are the people eTher wants us to get that information from.

The action is going to be where LeFey is.

What do you say, Mr. J? Blow this scene and get up to back her up?

And if so, how do you want to do it?
Take a shot at sneaking out amid the confusion?
Or one of us draws fire while the other gets out, then vice versa?
