I have run into the same problem. My content folder looks like one big trash dump. Very hard to find stuff i need without searching through all of it 1 by 1.

DS has an option where it can search other folders for content and add them to its folder list.

I always forget about that feature.

So i could extract all my stuff and structure it in the way i want to, then tell DS to search for the stuff, and not only will it work but it will keep my hierarchy?

I think the different items still need to have their paths set up correctly in the runtime folder. One can move them all manually, but I considered it too much work. I keep hoping DAZ will offer the ability to drag and drop and rearrange content in the program some day.

...OK just downloaded a lot of new content last night including

...Multi Plane Cyclorama. - nice for quickie scenes that don't take long to render. Also have have the several related expansions.
...April YSH's Vayne Braid & Osean Hair.
...Stonemason's Deco Club & The Paragon
...Rockin for Teen Ashley
...Mediterranean Patio (this week's freebie).
...Wintry Style for V4 Tunic
...V4 Male Madness Fit Pack (hehehheh)

Also DL'd the V4 license for Crosdresser so now it's time to have a bit of fun.

Placed my order for Streets of the Mediterranean and some 1.99$ clothing content (Dark Rose, Edwardian suit, etc). OK, so it's Mac & Orange stuff for dinner for the next week. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

...ok got to mop off the keyboard now. Unfortunately a bit rich for me at this time (annual membership is 190$) and again most models not Poser/D|S compatible, but exquisite detail (especially my fave, the Barrett M107 antimateral rifle).

One of the things I've been working on in creating MAT files. In this picture I created the mat files for all the cloths. The shirt, pants and armored vest. The base is the Daz Desert Soldier. The Mac-10 was separate.

What do you think?

Looks pretty cool. I made this Urban Camo texture for DAZ Desert Soldier. How do you save it as a MAT pose, so it loads automatically?

Here is the pair I worked up (Black & Urban). How funny that you did an urban as well.

Two ways.
- Native Daz script I think is simply File:Save As:Materials Preset
- I prefer to use the "Export Poser Materials" script. That creates pz2 and thumbnails.
