I'm not really positive, but think that this thread has digressed a tad bit from the original topic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

That's how it works in Germany. See, prostitution is legal here, even though being a pimp isn't. So, take Europe's biggest brothel, the Pasha in Cologne. As far as i've heard, the whole house (a highrise with about 10 stories or more) is based upon the hookers "renting" appartments for, iirc, 200 € a day, the rest of the business being conducted by themselves. Profitable enough for everyone involved, though not profitable enough for some. In Nevada, the Prostitutes generally split their earnings with the house 50-50. This method has the advantage that workers won't end up owing rent to the house on a slow day and that the house can get a great deal more money on a good day. Of course, Nevada brothels also tend to be substantially smaller than 10 stories and Nevada prostitutes tend to charge substantially more than 200 euroes for an hour. Nevada also has strict licensing regulations which can cost brothels hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. |

I'm not really positive, but think that this thread has digressed a tad bit from the original topic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) The original topic was Bunraku Parlors, which are a specialist type of brothel, and intimately related to prostitution. I think we're doing extremely well to be so 'on-topic' after this many posts. |

Yeah, and with this being a potentially touchy subject I think we've been doing well. Steaming past the usual arguements that seem to crop up at around the 5th page of posts.

I don't think they'd have blackmailed the Senator if he hadn't acted like such a douche and then compounded it by insulting Michael's family.
Really, he was just begging for it. |
