QUOTE Think I'll use the 10 karma to buy... Doh. Somehow I totally overlooked the 10 extra karma Notsoevldm was giving us to start with. Guess I need to add that to my character. |

I also shamelessly stole the format from ChromeZephyr:
Catherine Vitals [ Spoiler ] Attributes [ Spoiler ] Skills [ Spoiler ] Qualities [ Spoiler ] Cyber/Bio [ Spoiler ] Gear [ Spoiler ] Contacts [ Spoiler ] Resources [ Spoiler ] I have the chummer sheet too, but I think I copied everything over. I'm saving my karma towards future improvements in edge or influence. |

Aria, you want us to post links to char sheets / background in the thread "2072 [+4 Months], Multiple Players / GMs - Recruitment Always Open" ?

Yep, I will use the 2072 (+4 months) thread for OOC and the 2072 Game World thread for IC.
mister_j just sent me a PM that he is working on his char sheet, so that just leaves The Big Peat's. If I have them all by Monday then we will start then. I will repost the teaser in the IC thread and then I will be looking for a initial 'day in the life/what you are currently doing' post from each character. As there will be a fair bit of matrix stuff going on, please add your link/node info at the start of each post: @Virtual Scream [January 1, 2072, 00:00:00, Neck deep in drek, Seattle] PAN: status, SIN: Name (rating if fake), Response A, Signal B, System C, Firewall D, (list of active programs) |

Here's the info straight from chummer. I haven't had chance to edit it and take out the crap. I'll get back to that
Notes: He has immersion grade 1 after creation by permission of GM; He hasn't spent ANY BPs on gear; Has no lifestyle or SIN. This is deliberate. Refuses to run a SIN and spoofs lifestyle from month to month. [ Spoiler ]

I apologise in advance if I make schoolboy errors in the other threads, this is my first PbP and I seem to have jumped into the mega-ultimate-massive multi-threaded PbP. I don't even think copious sprinklings of pthread_mutex_lock will save me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)

Cast of characters
Slacker - Henry Rejaenpe, Dubstep, amerind human, hacker {sheet/background/20 questions} ChromeZephyr - Alexander Bartolemeo Bianchi, italian-american, human adept, P.I. {sheet, 20 questions} Aria - Gossamer, Medical drone A.I., hacker {sheet/20 questions, background} phlapjack77 - Dante, ork, street sam/rigger {sheet/background, 20 questions} The Big Peat - Luke MacAuley, Uller, CAS elf, adept, bounty hunter {sheet, 20 questions} karhig - Cat, dryad, face {sheet, concept, 20 questions} mister_joshua - Cipher {sheet, concept/20 questions} Updated the list and looks like we are ready to roll. @Big Peat/All: I have a thing with SnS ammo, I don't like it. Are you okay to switch to Gel rounds instead? If you are worried about spirits, hire a mage! Only other thing that caught my eye was incompetent (clubs) quality. Not a big issue but you can expect to run into lots of baseball bat armed thugs and cops with stun batons. |

I am happy to say no to SnS ammo but must ask how do you feel about Tasers and the like? I just feel like it's not a proper Bounty Hunter unless he's electrocuting people until they've stopped moving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
And I am cool with that - although Incompetent only makes you really bad using something, not defending against it right? The main reason I took it was to help reflect just why an ex-cop had no Club skill at all (just that bad) and figured no subdual beatstick of electricity was a big thing to him. Although with no SnS, I might do a little bit of last minute rearrangement if you're ok with that... |

@Big Peat: Tasers are okay. They are mostly short range and single shot (or semi-automatic). Don't have the weird situation of someone suppressing the room with SnS. I am also okay with the incompetent (club), especially with the character justification.
@All: I am fine with last minute tweaks as there is always something you forget (dodge and perception are my favourites) or something that doesnt quite gel with the character in initial play. Just ask in OOC before making any changes. |

Talking of Dodge: Just so I'm not completely misunderstanding the rules, I can use gymnastics for dodge when on full defence, right? How about when just normally dodging stuff?
I'm used to playing combat monsters with plenty of dodge, so this whole charisma face thing could be a rules struggle for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) |

While you're still accepting tweaks I've changed my char a bit. I've made him human. Human was my original concept but when I was struggling for points I bottled it and went ork. I've decided to switch back and roll with it. He'll die if he gets shot (he doesn't even have armour yet!) but I think it fits better in my head.
I've spent the points back from losing Ork to boost Str and Bod back to 2, and I've lost an edge (as I gained a free one) for 2 points of perception and a registering specialism. I also realised that I've failed to spend any of my 27 free points of knowledge skills so I'll try and do this today. Oops! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) [ Spoiler ]

For ranged you normally only get Reaction dice unless you Full dodge using up your next action. Then you can roll either Reaction + Dodge (ranged) OR Reaction* + Gymnastics (dodge) For melee you can normally dodge, block or parry. Dodge is as above (with melee spec instead of ranged). Block / parry is Agility + Unarmed combat / Weapon skill. Full melee dodge using next action adds dodge (or gymnastics) skill again for Reaction + Dodge + Dodge. Full block/parry adds skill twice: Agility + skill + skill. Melee counterattacking is same as block/parry but with a dice pool penalty (2 dice, I think). If you have net successes you do damage to the attacker. * Gymnastic dodge might be Agility + Gymnastics instead of Reaction (AFB) |

Starting post is up in 2072 thread. I've set the initial date to September 1, 2072, 0900.
I am looking for an initial 'day in the life' / what you are doing post set sometime between 0900 and 1200. For OOC posts, please use the 2072 [+4 months] thread from now on. |

I've linked Phlapjack's character in the 2072 ooc but please could everyone link theirs there too? i know it's a pain but it means I won't miss someone or link the wrong sheet! Thanks
EDIT: NSEDM: Do you have a timeframe in mind for our first 'day in the life' post for this thread? We've got various dates floating about in the thread at the moment, might be interesting if there was potential for an intersection at some point...?!? EDIT2: Never mind, just seen your date stamp (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) 1st September it is! |
