Understood, I was simply filling in events from Dragon's POV since he probably was responding to Tiffany in some way, shape, or form, before the events of your post. Yours is the correct one, mine is just Dragon's perception. Understood.

Sedna- Is it reasonable to assume that the clinicians have detoxed our car yet as per Virgil's instructions/request?
Sedna
Mar 7 2005, 12:35 AM
Yes.
I'll also (quietly) point out that IC you haven't yet asked a question you've been wanting to ask in this clinic. Don't know whether that means it's just been overlooked, or whether priorities have changed.
Oh, I didn't explicitly mention it, but the means of communication between the various areas of the clinic are in-house extension comms. There's one per floor area (figure maybe 8-10 or so in total), so you know there's one in the reception area, you passed one coming into this area, and so on. There isn't one per room. Quite apart from the hardwiring questions, it's already so tight in this (typical) room, there almost wouldn't be "person" space to use it. (Which indirectly tells you that Galina mostly deals with trauma and triage rather than longer term care, although Virgil would know she also acts as the local counsellor/psychologist.) In SR Seattle as now, although more sophisticated systems are designed with other "break-in" codes, the most common default to reach a (meta)human being in basic in-house telecom systems is "dialing" 0.

fyi: At this point,
Virgil has what
Cindy has. Powerpoint summary

:
* The former gaming place was controlled by the yakuza, but not directly run by them
* What
Jonah looks like, where his home is, likely haunts, but nothing really personal about him
* If he did go to ground, you've got no more idea than
Cindy how to flush him out
* That he's been talking with a cop (ex-cop!), but
Cindy's never met him, doesn't know what he looks like or even his name
* More about the
oyabun of this branch of the yakuza than you really wanted to know. On the plus side, it's not the same person to whom
Virgil gave the katana, before.
Oh, and some parts of her personality probably still are going to surface almost as
Virgil's own at odd moments, but not to the same extent: he has that mostly under control now. Let's just say this was very different than the much more usual use of a mind probe to seek for a specific piece of information which the person does know, but doesn't want to tell you.

A couple of questions about the search results:
1) Is this Nora's handwriting?
2) What was the magazine that contained the note, and was there anything significant about where the note was inserted? (ie-did it mark the place for a specific article or picture).
3) Have I heard of The Underworld? (Shadowrunner Haunts 3 = 13, 4, 2)
(I also have AK: Redmond and Local Neighborhood if needed)
4) Have I heard of Twiggy? Seen him?

1. Yes, it's Nora's handwriting
2. Random trashy magazine, inserted right in the front cover to look like an advertisement postcard or something.

Paul and Sedna- Well how about this then. Since you'll both be gone and God knows I have tons of Dumpshock related projects to catch up on anyway, we can just pause until you return. I'll respond to Sedna's latest post and then wait for one of you to come back and post a response to that, at which point we'll resume. How does that sound, it seems reasonable to me since you'll both be gone anyway, so no point trying to move forward without my players.

Scrapheap- You've heard of a club that sounds like or has the word or involves 'Underworld' (or something like that) but you can't nail it down exactly. Sounds familiar though, definitely a Seattle locale though, nowhere out of the Sprawl.

Mar 15 2005, 02:57 AM
Just finished updating that (the url's also in my profile

); and fixed all the prelude links at least. (The inter-story links are still being worked at ... at the moment, about the only page that works almost absolutely perfectly is
Avalanche's, which might give the sense of what I'm working toward, slowly.) I'm about a page behind, a bit more with Shadowland; and the guidelines are missing one amendment and aren't up yet in Word format.
Anyone I missed? Anyone got any (non bitmap!) pictures they want to share? Anyone know how to create small temporary mouse-over pop-up windows with pictures (à la ALT)? That's what I'm working toward, where you see a linked-in picture. A bonus karma point if you get me the exact code!

Mar 15 2005, 03:31 PM
Moirdryd: fixed, and thanks! that's exactly the kind of check I'm looking for. Originally those links led directly to the stories. Now, for active PCs, they lead to individual index pages, and I'd forgotten to set up one for you.
Anything anyone wants to send to me via e-mail:
talia_invierno@yahoo.com . Bear in mind that there might be delay in my being able to open it: not all the on-line computers I touch have linked and terminal-accessible Office, or even floppy drives.
In general I'm limiting backstories though -- trying to draw a compromise between PC confidentiality and the just sheer good reads. Within that proviso,
anything PC-related you guys want to send, I'll be happy to add. I'm currently working on adding in floorplans! You'll also notice some
very light edits I've made, things like fixing typos, a bit of grammar, and in one case conflicting timestamps: another reason why the original posts are always linked in. Shadowrunner: I gave acknowledgement under the name you gave on that fanfic ... if that's not okay or you didn't want it copied here, let me know?

A general note to my players (notably Scrapheap, Slipshade, and Digital, who's been out of the loop for a while; Paul and Sedna have things figured out I believe)
Given the workload I've got going for tax season, I generally post only in direct response to when it's needed, or more if I have time.
translation- if it's not clear that you need me to reply and you seem to be reasonably self-directed, I will probably let you continue on your course until I see fit to intervene. If you want to be sure I get the message that you're waiting on me, just send me a pm or post in the OOC thread and I'll be sure to get to you as soon as I can. Thanks for helping me out, after april 15 I promise things will return to a slightly more normal state of affairs.
