That's what i'm waiting for. If you do that I might even whip up a macro for my XLS to feed the key presses out of the SR4Chargen to populate his sheet. Or if someone had something to feed a standardized file into his sheet i could write that out too.
I have actually made the same with the mintcar sheets (forms by Slacker) and mailed them to Slacker for the upload. I can mail them to anyone else if needed 
As I have written before, I am actually writing at a little program for fetching the data from a xls-sheet (the first will be Blakkies, others will perhaps be added later on) to populate either the official or mintcars charsheet (users choice).
It will be written in perl and have a GUI.
It will be cross-plattform-compatible with at least Windows, Linux, Mac, Unix (every plattform that runs perl to be exact).
It will be compilable - you won't need perl.
It will have a GUI to change the data fetched from the XLS - so you won't even need the xls but are able to enter the data directly if wanted.
I have some exams at the 12. and 14. this month - so I suppose a first version will be available 16. of october.
If someone wants to help (or test alpha-version later on): Drop me a message.

I remember seeing something about someone doing something like that, but i thought it was that i'd have to have my data put into an intermediate format. Thanks.
BTW i just updated the file to add Bound Foci purchases on the Magic sheet, and a Gear tab for a free-form type entry (no dropdown lists or automated cost lookup, yet) for general equipment where it totals the costs and subtracts it from the cash resources on the main sheet.

As tirsales mentioned above, I made mintcar's character sheets editable and he's made them saveable.
Dashifen has offered to host them on his site, and so I have sent them to him, but I don't believe he's had the chance to put them up yet.

They're on my home laptop but not uploaded yet. I'll do it tonight and they'll be downloadable from shadowrun.dashifen.com.

A few questions to the sheet though:
1. Why is there no field for CloseCombat Weapons?
2. Why split everything into multiple fields? I would prefer e.g. the first two pages things everyone got, than one page cyberware and additional weapons, than spells and spirits, ... , later those 'additional fields' (notes, chars known, etc)
3. Perhaps it would be better to add specific 'Page Breaks' than relying on 'pages filled up' - there is a huge difference between different versions of word, oowriter, ...

I'd like to note that on Mintcar's Saveable Awakened sheet, the 5th quality line entry field repeats the 5th.
