You would simply be amazed at what you can buy with something approximating a High Lifestyle. A fellow i met went to work for a few years in Columbia. He wasn't stinking rich at all, but the job paid well. Accomidations were included, and part of that was a budget for live in maid service. So the guy goes to a local university and hires a summer student "maid". Well actually two absolutely gorgeous ones (edit: yes, at the same time). And yes he continued to have only one bed at his place, and yes he wasn't the only thing they polished. They really did clean his apartment as well.

That's right, it was indeed High lifestyle. Even so, it was cute to say "Screw shadowrunning, I'm retired!" as a newbie.
You could even still be an adept of some kind with 50 points to play with, just in case someone decided to mess with your standard of living.
