Kids?
You should have more respect when speaking to your elders Doc,
But on a more serious note
I don't offer some chance to provide a scientific research legacy in your name.
I provide a shelter, a safe haven for you.
Rational thought would suggest if your a bilities are natural your best option is to survive long enough to pass them on ot the next generation.

FanGirl, are you afraid for your safety or are you in need of help with your powers? If it's the latter, I'm sure we could help you more than pretty much everyone else here. Let's see, you have a research scientist who readily admits to knowing jackshit about technomancers, a psycho wannabe queen of darkness/death, a playboy millionaire (that would be Kremlin), and us.
Right now, we're just a server that teleports to wherever we can find digital space and we have no meat hideout(We don't even know where most of our members are, and like to keep it that way), but we can probably help you a lot more with your powers than anyone else here. And as for Kremlin, he's a millionaire with lots of assets and havens and stuff, but he WILL make a move on you. And if you're as powerful as he is, you have enemies, and if he gets associated with you intimately, his enemies will become your enemies. Right now, you have the safety of anonymity; you can't buy that, and it's worth more than anything money can buy.

Don't know about your scan result of this FanGirl, but I'd place my bits in Kremlin's collective... At least his Tribe is there in the Meat and online. Got a buddy-icon out that way, when the Surfer's done the run it's on, I got me a promiss that they'd check this MIDG out.
As for Me? I hang out with a local gang in my home node, it's not the Tribe I had, though I'm compiling lost Matrix children as we slowly grow. There are two of us among our group already - He's more into machines, got some big history file, one of Deus' experiments or some such. I've seen the hororific data files of what 'medical science' can do to a persona, if an AI can do that to Meat, who's to say the other corps are any better?

> Actually, I'm not interested in bringing FanGirl into my research after what happened to the last otaku I worked with. My advice to her would be, find your own truth. Whenever you learn from another, you are limited to their view of the world, so it's best to learn from all or none (and given the showing here, it looks like none is the better option).
At this point I doubt it would cause more harm to mention that Mistuhama is, as of last year, further along in their efforts with Jormungand than I. Of course, they are using captured minds in their research - though it seems their goal is specifically biocomputers capable of using Resonance in everyday applications.
And hats off - and thanks - to whichever team pulled off that run; I know you must have taken a pay cut to leave my meat intact. Perhaps I can return the favor sometime.

>Wow, I wasn’t expecting all this fuss over little old me.

Believe me, I would have responded sooner, but I’ve been really busy lately. You see, I got this new puppy, and I’m spending a lot of time watching him. I can tell that Rudy’s very smart—you wouldn’t believe how many tricks he knows—but he can be a bit of a headache sometimes. ^_^ But I digress.
I was deliberately vague about my abilities in the first post because I wasn’t sure whether most people on this forum even knew that us technomancers exist—or whether they
should know that we exist. Lots of people don’t know about us, and I feel that perhaps it should be kept that way for as long as possible. If our abilities to use Resonance were exposed to the general public, the governments and the corps would put measures in place that would make it a lot easier to track us down. Now, if things were otherwise I wouldn’t have a problem with this, but I have personal reasons for wanting to stay below radar.
Actually, because of what happened last week, they’re not all personal reasons anymore: I’m afraid that any other technomancers who can be linked to me in any way might be put in danger. I don’t know what kind of destiny has been thrust upon me, and it would be wrong for me to drag others into it. "Needs of the many" and all that, you know. That’s why I can’t accept any of your offers, although I appreciate the generosity that spurs you all to make them, and sincerely thank you for doing so. I will say this to you, however: please,
please be careful out there. I can't guarantee that there's any real danger, but it's better that you err on the side of caution.

The offer still stands if you need a place in the future. Ignore the paranoid ramblings of people like Kremlin and Bronzewyrm. The first is not your only option for safety, and is certainly expecting something in return. The second is suffering from mild paranoia based on things he has seen. It is just as wrong of him to assume that I and my people are butchers because we are in medical research as it would be of me to assume that he is little more than a teenage loser with delusions of being special just because he elects to spell his name in a modified form of "leetspeak."

Anyway, if you need our help, you'll always be able to find us with that random internet meme call. Don't worry about our safety; anyone logged in knows well enough to redirect their lines through about a bajillion different servers under a bajillion different names, so their identities are safe, and like I said, our home server teleports. Pop in any time you want; our help doesn't preclude that of anyone else's. Unless he wants to kill you.

on a serious Note. Fangirl, don't concern yaself with my safety. I have survived worse. Doc, I would like ya to email me directly sometime... Bronze, as amazed as I am at the Techno's ability to manipulate the Subtext of the Matrix in ways my Comm can;t quite decipher, I am not happy that you have effectively put the badger song in my head.

For a pulse, I wasn't scanning whether to be insulted or confused... It's a sad digital world when personas assume any leet hacker sports male codecs... Like FanGirl there's more than just the male compiled personas online, ya scan me?
Yes I'm a teen, not many processing cycles have passed since those of us challenged Deus and its minions. Old hardware is becoming obsolete, its time for the children of the Matrix to embrace the digital world and show those non-believers the powers the Deep Resonance holds. Scan the Resonance, and you will be found, deny the Resonance and you shall fry with the measily circuitboards and optical chips you call your commlink.
Kremlin, your persona is forgiven, like many of us, you have scanned the light, you follow the Resonance, and post to be true to the code. It's sad that FanGirl scans that she can only compile this system load on her own. A Tribe is guidance, acceptance, belonging, and understanding. As a lone icon, we are but a pulse, as a Tribe we are a host. Find a friendly node and find peace.

Scanning my previous post, it flattened me to compile how much like my old Otaku persona-self I sometimes can process....
I get so wrapped up in code at times that I can't help but output my old datapackets...
Need to keep a checksum on that.... sorry
