Christ on a bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice roll.
A couple of pointers on how I run things...
One I like lists of the numbers on dice rolled. If I'm taking of modifiers you are unaware of I take off from the right so don't list them highest to lowest, pick them up from once side of the dice splatter and list them in the order you pick them up. It stops me working from the left instead

Two and this is the biggie. In combat I do the posting. We handle intiative etc here I post an order everyone posts the ooc side of their actions rolls and what they're doing. Once everything is sorted I post a cool action sequence in the IC thread. It keeps things tidy and means we don't get redundant IC posts. If you have a cool description you want posting send me it in a PM and I'll work it in.
Thank you for your time.

I'd make a roll myself, but I figure all this is happening simultaneously to my assensing the room and assensing the girl, which I'm still waiting on the results of.
pragma - if you do start to take the girl up to Wing's "landy" (Landcruiser?), Flat will probably motion for you to hang on a second. Once I do a general Assensing, I DEFINITELY want to take an action to do Psychometry on her.

You've got several rounds while first aid gets performed, that's why JW encouraged folks to run ahead and kill appropriate cultists.

On a mildly related note, is the agent turning up anything?

Okay, assuming then that my Knowledge skill test on the oily feeling came back "no idea," and that my perception test for spirits or other astral threats also came up nada.
So next, I will be doing psychometry on the room to get as much info as possible about what happened here - there is a whole list of mods I won't mess with since I can't be sure about most of them.
Just rolling my base dice -
Intuition + Assensing + Specialization + Initiate Grade + Adept Power = 23 dice
1 2 6 1 1 1 4 6 6 6 1 2 5 5 6 1 5 5 1 4 4 5 4 = 10 successes
On the car - those vehicles on the Wikipedia page you kindly linked me to look a bit cramped for five tricked-out Shadowrunners plus two extractees plus maybe a "prisoner." So I assume I also brought my own car...If that is a problem just let me know.
Ophis
Jan 22 2007, 05:42 PM
No problem, Landrovers are actually quite big, the one I linkied was the one that looked closest to what Wing has it can seat about 7 in three rows 2-3-2.
The oily feeling is probably a result of the corruption of astral space. No spirits in the room, you are right there. I'll have you psychometry results in a mo.

TEAM - Okay, one of those "we don't know each other and have not talked about leadership and no one wants to step on anyone's toes but we gotta keep this moving things."
So Mr. Doormat has committed to hot pursuit through the secret door, and I have committed to taking Jun to my car to try and get a two-pronged chase going.
Now everyone else can decide which they'd like to follow and we will be in motion!
OPHIS - Don't know whether you want my academic Magical Theory skill, or my street Astral Phenomena skill, but they are each 10 dice, so I'll just roll once and you can apply as appropriate or amalgamate...?
With this knowledge test, just want to confirm that - psychometry supposedly picking up past impressions, the direct communication I just experienced must have either (A) been left there intentionally or (B) transmitted in real time, both of which would imply EXTREME power levels? Or do I know of any other explanation?
6 5 3 5 3 3 5 2 3 3 = 4 successes
Also, with my knowledge skills, is it reasonable that Flat knows the basics of the info on Shadow Spirits as outlined in Street Magic?

pragma - since we have established that my car is also here, I think we should use that one... since it's my car...and also cuz it has lotsa clothes in it, since I live in it.
(Assuming most female elves can get ill-fittedly into the khakis and sports shirts of an average-sized human male. Haven't heard any counter-to-FRPG-naked-elf-chick-stereotype descriptors about Jun's body size...)
Note to everyone in case there was any misunderstanding - Flat is neither a spellcaster nor a conjuror.
pragma and everyone - have we established what sort of team commnet we have established? I assume we all have decently firewalled and encrypted commlinks, and that we are all on each others' scopes? Coordinated by JW? Anyone NOT linked up via AR?
Ophis - I'm with pragma on settling for small talk until we get a green light from you on making it to the car without incident.

*hides Jun's red eyes and fangs for the time being*
She's harmless... no really!

Adamu - She's "Stereotypical Elven Chick" as far as height goes, perhaps a little bit more muscled than a dainty elf, but most likely worst case scenario is that she'd swim in a sports shirt (like a chick wearing her boyfriends) and the pants might be more like capris

Ophis - besides the queries above, here is something else for me to torment your busy GMing with -
At some point in the future (likely after I've had a chance to do psychometry on her directly), I am going to be making a Academic: Psychology (spec. Magically Induced Psychoses) test about Jun to see if I can get any info on her amnesia. Now, I figure this is the kind of test that is only worthwhile after having a chance to observe/relate to the subject. But wanted to let you know that Flat has that in mind as he interacts with her, and at some point in the future I'll be making the roll.
TEAM - any word on what sort of comm set-up we have?
I'll show you mine if you show me yours - Flat is set up with the normal AR access on a Fairlight/Novatech with an upgraded firewall - my entire node is running an Encrypt 4, but as far as I am concerned you all have the encryption key so that we can communicate.
pragma/JW, do I need to be running my Scan to show up an any graphic display of our positions, or is it enough for you to be doing so?

Your explanations seem reasonable, as to other ideas you can't think of any though it could be a spirit hiding behind the background count which sounds unlikely. Or possibly a unique free spirit power.
Yes you do know the info in Street Magic.

Re: Network
Here's how I was envisioning team network:
All communications routed through my comm. so that I can encrypt them and keep an eye out for hostile network traffic. (Encrypt 6, for reference). Everyone has the appropriate public/private keys.
I assume that we're all sharing our own locations to the team network (commlinks, if I remember correctly, remember where they are) which allows us to build a map of where we all are. If I'm misremembering, JW doing the scanning should be enough.
JW seems to be running everything on a beat up meta-link, but five minutes observation will reveal something else is going on. There's probably another commlink somewhere and some funny commcode spoofing going on.
@adamu

So, once we hook up with the team, I'm still hoping to combine foot and mounted pursuit. But since my car probably won't really hold all six of us, is Wing's Landy set up for JW (or Wing) to remote pilot it to the exit point?

Okay tunnel team initiative. The rest of you will arrive in time for turn two. Weapons are stowed and Wing needs to take a Standad action to emerge, Toobit needs 2 standard actions. Post actions and rolls here, leave actual descriptions to me, but feel free to send me your ideas/texts for actions and I'll fit it together.

My turn to toss up my "away message"
Basically I am gonna be out of pocket and mostly away from computers starting possibly as early as Wed. and until Tues. of next week. Toobit's initiative = 2,2,4,1,5,3 =

[ Spoiler ]
If someone warns him about what is happening out side then Toobit will cast Increase reflexes and sustain it:
Force 4 = 6,2,2,5,4,4,6,1,3,4,5,1 =
4 hits; This gives +3 Initiative and + 3 passes for next turn
Drain resistance = 5,3,2,3,6,2,6,1,3,3,5 =
4 hits; No Drain
If no one warns Toobit about what is going on outside then he will use his pass to climb out of the tunnel.
