I meant to infer that you have the "keys" to the vehicle. Once you are in signal range of it, you can remotely operate it and you had said you would only need it one day so he'll see you (and the vehicle) in 24 hours.

Yep, that's what I meant.

Aeryn will just fetch it normally, as originally intended.

Ok, then I got that right. Was just a little confused since I had originally thought, Aeryn would go to meet Mike to fetch the car or something, but that works.

@Thanee
I also edited my post. As I was thinking about it, you need both an authentication key and a subscription configuration file. The latter is the information as to the frequency the drone/vehicle is operating and its supported communication protocols. The second is an encrypted key to authorize you to access the drone/vehicle.
Also, signal rate is determined by the weakest of the two. The vehicle is a signal rating 3.
Finally, he send you an ARO with the location of the vehicle. It loads directly onto Google Maps to show you the location of the vehicle.

Yes, but you have to hack a node near the car to be able to control the car across the matrix. You are still limited by the sensor rating of a node you control. And if you control the vehicle going from point A to point Z, you have to control a next of nodes with over lapping ranges (in this case within range of Senor rating 3).

Really? I thought you could just use the Matrix like when you make a call to another commlink, which is far outside your actual sensor range.
Not that it is of any relevance right now.

You can if the node has an LTG, which in turn would require a comlink interface. For most host computer systems, this is a very reasonable assumption. For vehicles and drones, I would think not. Would you really want to pay for an LTG account and comlink hardware for each of your drones & vehicles AND make them susceptible to being hacked like that..?
So... If you equip a drone/vehicle with a comlink and get it and LTG.. Then yes, that would work..

@Team 1:
I need a little more detail about your actions and activities. I understand that Jake want to use a fly-spy drone to investigate the apartment building and that Rex wants to check online for information about the neighborhood and exit the van.
I need to know if Rex is being dropped off or the van is parking. I need to know if Jake is turning on the autopilot with a destination and jumping into the drone or some variation. Given the speed of the fly-spy drone, I assume it would not be released until reasonably close to the apartment.. but I hate to assume.

Thanks.

Well Rex is thinking about other things. He's trying to see if there's anything to notice in the area. If they've been noticed, if they're being observed or followed, if he can remember or find anything interesting about the area, etc. He wouldn't notice Jake's inactivity for at least 5 minutes.
And what's with Greer's message? Do you mean it's sent to our team, who's GWJaspers ?

I was going to edit my post with additional stuff, noticing Jake being one of them, but I noticed a couple things that brought up questions. How can Rex "He gets up and makes his way out of the van," when it hasn't even stopped yet? And, Jake is frozen and th van is still moving. Is the van driving itself (I've been in another game where one character had a van that could do such) or are we about to crash?

The van has stopped (as per RJs description) only Jake has psyched out.

You com translates the incoming call from GWJaspers to Greer. (( Greer Wayne Jaspers ))
Please note the time of the message was 20:45. The team received the call as Jake was getting ready to leave the Mall parking lot.

Two things: First which com are you using. I noticed you are using the sin for Jack Thompson. Is that loaded on your com or the com from the pack?
EDIT: Strike that. Reread the post. Saw you are using the other com. I assume your text was routed though your shadowland account to the team.

Just a reminder to all players: I tend to make poor assumptions about what you are doing or intended to do. Better to have too much detail than not enough. After the deification hits the ventilation is a little late to clarify assumptions I was forced to make.
For instance, if I have to assume you did or did not take an action/precaution/movement, I tend to error on the side of caution and say that it didn't occur... just to be consistent.
Thanks!

@Team 2:
Syndicate_killer hasn't posted to the board in two weeks, including to the game he was running. He also also created his account 10 weeks ago which doesn't bode well for being a long term player.
My options are:
1) Continue to keep DJ silent.
2) Remote control him and get him to the current planning session.
3) Have a player remote control him.
4) Other...?
Your thoughts?

well if he is removed that will leave only three on team 2 right? if we can get someone else to join and have DJ's character vanish or not show up at club forbidden when we all meet and from there someone else is called in to replace him from our johnson, is that a reasonable fix?
