One could go two ways with DocWagon, I would think.

The first would be, yeah, DocWagon can get into and out of just about everywhere short of a military base (given the right subscriber, of course). This is because of extradition treaties/contracts they would have signed with every AAA: if the AAA wants, after treating whoever they rescued, DocWagon has to give that person back if they were picked up on corp property.

The second is that, no, once you're on AAA/national military property, you're done. But DocWagon's subscribers are chiefly picked up from corps lower than AAA status. HTR units are sent into major organized crime enclaves like those frequented by mafiosos or gangers, or into Z-Zones. This makes a little more sense to me, personally-I never saw HTR teams on corp property, I figured they were used for when your million-nuyen client decided on a fieldtrip to the Barrens.

Watch out about the material link. DocWagon needs client. If he starts messing up with his clients by using thir tissue sample or by allowing other corps access to it, they'll lose a bunch of clients, and there is a lot of competition out there. If there is one megacorp that has to follow an ethic code if it wants to survive, it has to be DocWagon. Man, they are dealing with other people's life. If the people doesn't believe theirlife is in security with DocWagon, they'll change their contract as soon as possible.

Yeah, but only if people find out about it, & if they believe that the competition wouldn't do the same thing.

...If say you are one of the North Hollywood bank robbers and your biomoniter registers a gunshot wound after you've just killed a couple of cops on life TV, will the Docwagon HRT swoop in and start killing cops in order to extract you?...

C'mon, man. They'd give the Star a chance to surrender. biggrin.gif
Besides, its more likely they've allready got a first response team in there to patch up the cop who sprung for a platinum contract when he realized he didn't entirely trust his corporate medical policy.

Though this brings up the question: If DW responds to a combat scenario where there are wounded clients on either side of the firefight, who do they support/wipe out?

My money would be on the guy with the more expensive contract.

Unleash nerve gas, acquire all customers, administer antidote to customers in seperate response vehicles.

That would be a cool way to make the PCs wet their pants before realizing that things were relatively okay.

Of course if the PC's are non-customers, they are @#$% out of luck. Though, for a start up fee they can get a DocWagon contract for only 10% higher than the standard going rate. Oh they don't want to? Oh well, no antidote for ya. We'll leave ya on the side of the road.
