Trevor smiles to himself. Matchsticks, hmmm. Oh well, let's get while the getting is good.

With that he heads out to the meet.

ShadowCat

Cat zooms in on the woman's face, trying to catch a good profile shot, while bringing up a second cam in the area going for another angle.

She immediately scans for an active PAN on her, seeing if she's carrying a commlink, and looks over the pic to see if she's got a dta jack or nano-trode paste on.

[ Spoiler ]
SinN
ShadowCat
She is not carrying an active com. From what you can tell from your tracing her com is sitting in a trash can 3 blocks up. She does have nanopaste on, and does have an obvious datajack.

In that case, sind a quick message to the local Lone Star PD. Let them know there's a person walking around without Identification, and looks suspicious. According to the BBB, it's a crime now to not carry ID, and the only way to carry a valid ID is to carry a commlink. Once the message has been sent, from a near by public telecom, helpfully feed her image to the security cams, and have them scan and "notice" her, while I clean my trail throughly.

Perhpas a Star patdown and a few months in jail will teach her a lesson about threatening phone calls.

[ Spoiler ]

Time to call Trevor. Cover all the bases.

Shadowcat quickly brings up her back door in to the comm company's system, getting everyting ready to change her number yet again. She sets up the new account, but calls Trevor before deleting the old one.

Don't really know this guy, but if that slitch nabbed Smoke and called the two of us, I cuold be on their hit list. Having someone at my back I can nominally trust might help.

Cat "calls" Trevor's comm, meaning that she connects to it again, the same way as he did before, looks through the comm's camera to see where he is, then opens the link, after rerouting her comm trail, and placing some Black IC along the line. If it's available, she'll comm in to a trode rig or ear bud if he's wearing one.

Trevor, evening. This is ShadowCat. Do you have a moment?

The screen displays only the black cat woman icon.
ludomastro
Trevor's comm comes to life on its own. Hmmm, what's this.

Trevor grins upon seeing the logo, Good evening Shadowcat. I am afraid that now is not a good time. I have some business to attend to. Perhaps later?
fistandantilus4.0
You git a call earlier from the same woman that called me, and kidnapped Smoke and otrutred her. Be sure that you're not walking in to someone's trap Trevor. She's already made a move against me, and you could well be next.

That's all.

The icon smiles sweetly.

Waiting on scan results for commlink search
ludomastro
Damn it to hell!

I my case she baited me with my fixer... I suppose a trap is inevitable. I am headed to Matchsticks, you?
fistandantilus4.0
I'm looking at the lady who called me through a Lone Star security cam, and about to hack her commlink, erase her identity, and call the Star on her. Assuming things go my way of course.

Were you headed to Matchsticks to meet her? She might be late.

I don't know if your fixer is important to you, but we really have no idea if your fixer, or Smoke , are still alive.I'm not one for playing someone else's game, so I say we change the rules.

[ Spoiler ]
ludomastro
Let me put it this way. A happy grateful fixer who owes you is worth more than a dead one. Especially if your rep goes down with the casket...
fistandantilus4.0
Better your rep than your corpse. Are you going to meet her?
ludomastro
Let's just say that there are reasons I don't fear death...

So, yes, I plan to meat her and no, I am not referring to greet.
fistandantilus4.0
Planning on facing her on your own? Give me a few minutes, and I may be able to get into her 'link. She's got a datajack, which means she can't very well turn off her connection if I'm able to hack her commlink. Give me time to get in, and then we can take her on two fronts if it's comes to it. Turn the tables on this mystery woman and deal with her on our terms.
ludomastro
Did I mentioned that I liked your style?
fistandantilus4.0
You might not have, but you can bring it up again later once we're done .

Trevor
Forty-five minute pass after the call. You arrive at Matchsticks. You dont see anyone that sticks out right away. Just the same old regulars, some waisting away, and some just enjoying the atmosphere.
After a quick scan, You notice a short, very atractive, dark haired woman sitting alone in a boothe. She seems to be waiting for someone, considering shes sitting alone.
fistandantilus4.0
hacking her commlink, going for Admin Access

Trevor
The woman catches your eye, she seems to notice you, and she looks a bit impatient.
fistandantilus4.0
Relay the message to Trevor that this is the same girl we're looking for. Make sure the the Black IC is discretely uploaded into her datajack's software, and awaiting command, well hidden.

Check the contents of the message.

Heading over to her table, Trevor smiles and says, I hope that you have had time for dinner. I find that negotiating on an empty stomach can sour the experience. I hope that you don't mind. I had a few of your friends for dinner.

Trevor
Likewise. She says with a smile showing her teeth. But assure you they're alive, and not quite turned. I figured Id leave that up to you. Are you interested in work?

PM to Trevor:

She has company in there. A hacker from the looks of it.

Since Shadowcat alraedy has Admin access to Trevor's commlink, whether he knows it or not, go in to his 'link, with full stealth active, and start looking for intruders.
SinN
No intruders yet, Just some spam, and some messages you'd rather not check the contents of.

Trevor smiles at the woman and then sits down.

I seriously doubt there is much that you and I can do for one another. However, I find it rude not to listen.

SinN
Trevor
"Well Trevor, the decision is entirely up to you. Do you think Happy will enjoy being an ankle biter? Or do you think he'd just rather be dead?" She says with a laugh

ludomastro
Trevor hesitates for a minute before the full realization that the "woman" in front of him is a vampire as well. However, he let's nothing show.

Interesting thought that. Happy would be a good ankle biter but I think that he would rather be alive than dead ... or undead. I find that too few mortals truly appreciate the Gift, don't you?

This woman is every bit as ruthless as me; however, I believe she is sloppy and angry. I must work that to my advantage.

Do continue.
SinN
No apreciation indeed. She smiles with a raised eyebrow.

I wish to acquire you and your computer-happy friend for the same job that fool attempted to give you. Except this time you'll be getting paid more, and get a bit more respect out of it. Calypso had a knack for overlooking people. I am not that stupid.
She smiles once again.
What do you say?
fistandantilus4.0
Cat's eyes roll. Her first instinct is to message Trevor again, but thinks twice, knowing that there is antoher hacker about.

Instead, she loads up a quick copy of one of her Agents, and loads it with a spoof and stealth program. She includes a short message, instructs it to run through a random series of nodes for 20 seconds, then deliver the message, while spoofing i's datatrail along the way.

She executes it as an encrypted , one shot, self destruct program, so that it will deliver the message, then delete it's self.
Message:

<<<<Trevor- I don't like their manner of dealing . They kidnap two of our own to get us to do a job they say they're willing to pay more for. We need our people back first as an assurance. It it had better pay a boat load if this is what they're doing. They've put a lot of expense in to getting us to do this job, which means they need it done for some reason. Exploit it. Turn about is fair play, as they're certainly exploiting us.

Don't bother trying to respond. I've changed my number. This message will self destruct. wink.gif>>>>>

When delivered, the message should pop up on his AR, allow 30 seconds for reading, and dissapear. It's set to appear within his normal line of sight, and back farther, so that he won't have to move his eyes as he reads the lines.
ludomastro
Trevor reads the message.

It occurs to me that you need this job done given the amount of effort that has gone into getting me here. As for the computer wiz, she is not my friend as much as she is an associate. It will take me a bit to find her again. So ....

He let's the moment hang for a little bit then continues,

Release our friends and then we can talk about price. That would go a long way toward showing us that you are indeed unlike your predecessor.
SinN
Absolutley. They will be returned. Half up front as well, if you should choose to except. Oh, and do me a favor and never compare me to that bumbling idiot again.
She looks angry then smiles again shrugging it off.
ludomastro
Fair enough. I assume that by half, you mean one of the two, and not half of them... Trevor laughs and this and smiles.

Very well. Let's discuss price and review specifics. Having people attempt to kill me does not help the memory as much as you might think. Then perhaps, I can track down my computer wiz.
SinN
She shares the laugh. And almost seems interested in the idea.

I pay you ten thousand up front. A little walkin around money. You complete the list, 4 k per person you take out. Ill throw in a bonus if you do it right and dicreetly. Dont want any unwanted attention. Does this seem fair?
ludomastro
I hope that she is paying attention to this.

That is a good place to start. Please define unwanted attention. You want them dead obviously; however, in what condition should the bodies be found? Or should they not be found at all? Also, I will obviously need to discuss the fee and which half of the human payment we want before I agree. I'll also need your contact information.
SinN
Slides you a number across the table.

Memorise it, when you have, swallow it, here. So I can see that you have. Oh and about your friends. They will be returned fully intact. Unless you want their bodies in half?
fistandantilus4.0

Trevor smiles at the women. He looks at the number and then smiling pops it into his mouth. There. No, intact will be fine for my friends.

Good. She smiles.
Now do we have a deal then?
ludomastro
Tentative. Should my friend decline, I will let you know.
SinN
Please do..
She says now looking as it seems right through you. She appears to be waiting for an awnser.
fistandantilus4.0
<<<[Trevor] Go for it. Don't let her know we're in comminication. Jsut get the list and the up front pay.>>>>
ludomastro
I suppose then that our business here is done. If my friend doesn't want in, I assume that I am still to be paid? He nods his own agreement and continues, The list and funds please.
