In all seriousness, do any of you need some clarification from me? I am back from my trip and hopefully in one piece now.

@ Redjack
Book makes his stroll around the building and is able to notice an impressive ward around the entire building. Since it's not the transparent variety, he isn't sure what is going on inside however they are several watchers around the building as well.

Book spots two spirits moving around the building. They are dressed in three-piece-suits and have on heavy shades. One of them waves to him and smiles.
Vick takes his stroll around the building. Nothing overtly obvious about the security. Standard precautions for what amounts to a public building. A few more cameras than normal but nothing visible out of the ordinary.

Looking for input.

I would love to continue... just right now, Jazz can't do much (and that's totally fine with me), as she is soundly asleep.

I have had a number of computer problems over the last week so I have had to spend a bit bit of time there. Just finished reinstalling my laptop this morning in fact.
Back to the game. It appears we are at 3 players (4 characters), which is a fine number to continue. 2Bit seems to be the latest casualty to the post rate. I am also fine with you (Alex) pushing us a little when we start lamenting. Advance the time line a little, provide subtle hints or even a list of options (good and bad, right and wrong). Would this modification to you GM style be ok with you?

Sorry to hear about the computer issues. I hate those.
I will be happy to post some move-it-alongs and maybe some limited options. I am not terrible fond of GM posted options as the game tends to take on the feel of a video/computer game.
- Turn Left
- Turn Right
- Open the Trap Door
- Pull the Bookcase

Also, looks like Cedric will be out until next Monday. We'll assume Hiro just teleported in and froze time for a long-winded dialogue scene with Ando.

Ok, I'd like to fast forward a bit. We now have a lay of land for the the headquarters as well as astral recon. Book will return to the van, astrally project and survey the area flying up so that he can reasonably locate this area should he project from the safe house.
Dalton will do his best to locate cameras in the area to get a feel for video surveillance. Then if Dean has nothing to add we will return to the safe house.
If Vick is still MIA, we will count him a loss and move on from there.
ludomastro
Jul 23 2007, 05:04 PM
I am in agreement with this plan.
For the sake of simplicity, we will agree that Book can find this place pretty much at will from the astral.
Dalton sees cameras in all the places he would expect: the roof, each entrance, the ventilation shafts, etc.
Let's keep this game moving.

Hey all, I'm back. I've dumped the drunk and it sounds like we've scoped the place out, why don't we have a universal post for us all to return to the condo and do and OOC thread discussion as to our next step.

At this point I'd like to assume that Dalton made notes on his com about the placement of the cameras he saw for future reference. If we are good to arrive back at the safe house, I'll post ahead again.

Also, let me know what IC info you need.

I'm ok with a new recruit, as long as they are already reasonably active on the boards. I would also like to work the team reduction into the game. I hate the disconnection of just pretending they never existed or just went quietly in the night and we didn't care...

That said, we don't need to make an overly big to to about it either...
*sigh* I guess what I am saying is I'd like to feel more connection in this game. I feel like I'm on a riding lawn mower that keeps having to be restarted.. (No offense)
So, let's change that and get rolling forward!! One thing I think would help is if everyone agreed to a post of some sort at least weekly, even if just as a check in.

Let me alter my request here a bit. In order to draw us into the game, would you post more environment based narrative? Example: A week goes by the team is in the same scene either working through a few thoughts or lamenting. Could you post enhanced descriptions of the surroundings to draw us into the scene? Give us better vision of the scene if you will, even describing how you see our characters in the scene. We can then post back how we proceed through the scene and everyone feel more *in* the game...

Sorry to ramble, just brainstorming here. Feel free to counter my ideas with better (or good ones if mine stink) ideas.

What skill set(s) are you asking Cole about?
Thanee
Aug 23 2007, 05:39 AM
Skill sets, I think we could make good use of...
- a second magician
- a socially versed runner
- a B&E specialist
Maybe not all of the above, but those come to mind.
Jazz is reasonably capable in both the second and third area as well.

Hmm... Do we really need to recruit then? I think that if we recruit we should perform active, rather than passive recruiting... Someone we see on the boards looking for a new game who has been consistent in other games...
I did that with Unarmed in Puyallups and it was a gold-mine... The only question is, "Am I being too elitist?"
