Are you going to put the rest of your post up then Mysterio? I havent finished it for you because to be honest I wasnt sure what you were doing with that carbon copy paper.
and on a seperate note... whens the London campaign starting? straight after this one or sometime soon?
Mysterio

I figured the carbon paper that is covering the desk represents a copier program to my deck.
I also left it open in case you wanted me to roll for my "escape" route

My last post doesn't accomplish much of practical value except to show that I'm still involved and interested, which given my lack of activity might be needed.
I also want to make it known that Ace does have a 3 in both the Chinese and Japanese languages, should it be important.
But... strangely, he doesn't have English. Silver, I must have brainfarted and assumed some sort of native language house rule; do you want me to remedy this?

We've left the action at the point where Ace goes to get the plane so that Silver can throw a spanner in the works - if he feels so inclined!!!!
Note from DB. He's broken a metacarpel in his right hand - clumsy!! He's relying on his aged P ) me - to do the typing, yet again.
He says he will start the London run as soon as we finish this one, to avoid cross-overs in characters.
I've seen some elements of the Plot - You'll like it!!!!! Not!

What is needing is an IC post from Ace. What I am needing is time. IC post from Ace will be making tomorrow. Sorry for delaying. V. tired, work related.

Also required is a note from the Boss, I think, as to whether Lady Jane sails on the midnight tide or not.
No point getting the plane if the Lady don't sail.

See you after my holiday!

So there I was, just come off the crapper when the sun caught the water as I flushed. It turned into red/gold flame as it sluiced down the pan from the sunlight coming through the bathroom window.
Funny where ideas come from - innit?

It occurred to me, whilst taking a walk in my garden
(is that better? that the hydrofoil, Lady Jane, is a top of the range, all mod con ship.
She'll have computer navigation and, probably, computer controlled helm and other functions, even, pehaps, down to the engines.
Question is, can those systems be accessed from a plane flying overhead?

HERES JONNY!!!!
Back from my holiday...fully destressed (although that wont last long) and a tan to die for!!
And in responce to Rakshasa's thoughts about it being a fully automatic boat, the answer is yes it is, the ship I worked on last year was... all the engineers did unless something went wrong was watch the computer screens! but you wouldnt be able to access it from the plane overhead because it is an enclosed system, the only things that aren't are the radio signals which have nothing to do with the computers... now if a decker were to get on board however.....

"..at the hole.."
Is that before or after Seeoh drops through?
or is it `into' the hole, which means they'd have to be either standing on the cabin roof or `swinging in the rigging' to get a downward angle - perfect targets for the Orc!!

The only thing close to it is the DocWagon Osprey 3, with a sensor rating of one.
One die roll gets a result of 03 for active sensors.
Might as well do passive as well, in case it's relevent: 02 03 03 17 05 04

Bluebird is now down from a Serious wound to a moderate wound... it will still hurt like hell though!
There are a couple of frigets in the local area... but you can see that there is a ship leaving harbour at the moment, which could be heading you way in the next 10-15 minutes

I'd be happy to, but I need to know a few things:
1) Ammo type for the guns
2) Successes on the attack test
3) Flip's Body for DR
4) Flip's Ballistic Armor rating
5) How much (if any) combat pool Flip is allocating to the test.
Drain Brain
Aug 3 2004, 05:33 PM
Hmm... My half of the equation is as follows:
DR tests:
Body: 7
Test #1: 3,4,5,5,5,7,8 (Yes, I know this is ludicrous, but it's true nonetheless)
Test #2: 1,1,1,2,2,3,4 (aw, tits...)
I'll split my combat pool a tad and apply two dice to each test for a little extra (I declared that to myself, alas, before that first stonkingly good roll...) - the results are as follows: Test one - 1,4, Test two - 2,4.
Without knowing what ammo type the guns are using or the successes/skill levels of teh attackers I can do little more, except tell you that the base damage codes for these weapons are: Enfield AS7: 8S and Uzi III: 6M. That, and my armour rating: B:5, I:5
Knockdown:
Body: 7
Test #1: 1,2,3,3,3,4,4
Test #2: 1,1,3,4,4,5,16 (Yes, that's a SIXTEEN!)
vs: 1/2 weapon power. Minimum success level to avoid getting knocked down (for reference):
L: 2
M: 3
S: 4
D: N/A
This all assumes, of course, I wasn't getting splurged against a bulkhead... but that's the GM's call!
Having posted this and looked at it, I find the rolls hard to believe. But they're true. I'd rather my luck had averaged out across the whole board there, but that's the first sixteen I've ever got and I'm proud, so ner...
Silverspur_2020
Aug 3 2004, 06:50 PM
Well the ammo type for the shotgun was Flechette, and for the Uzi it was standard. The guy with the Uzi got five sucesses and the guy with the shotgun got 3.
Drain Brain
Aug 4 2004, 10:30 PM
Uzi Test:
Burst fire at 6M (raised to 9S by the burst) reduced by Ballistic armour rating of 5, but staged up to Deadly by attacker successes.
Damage resistance test #1 (see above) vs. 4D results in 7 successes for a net result of One box of damage (light wound)
Enfield Test:
Against Flechette rounds, use Twice Impact Armour Rating = 10
Reducing 8D (staged up by attacker successes) results in the minimum of 2D for damage resistance.
Test #2 (also see above) generates 6 successes, for a net result of One box of damage (light wound)
As a note, having taken only a light wound from each, the respective knockdown tests would have given me 2 successes vs. the Uzi and 4 vs. the Enfield so I would have kept standing… so just assume I threw myself prone!
Result:
-1TN, -1Initiative, Pain and annoyed Ork…

I think it's interesting just how quickly Flip forgot that "better off in Davy Jones' Locker than on the street" stuff once he actually
saw the drugs.
