Help a brother out. Isn't there a rule that lets you use gymnastics in place of dodge under some circumstances?
sabs
There is
You can use Gymnastics for active dodging.
klinktastic
Gymnastics Dodge: Characters skilled in Gymnastics can
spend their action flipping, rolling, cartwheeling, etc. out of danger,
and may add Gymnastics skill to their dice pool against either ranged
or melee attacks

P. 160 of SR4A

Oh yes, that will come in handy. Princess, due to her agility, her skill and her synthecardium has 11 dice in Gymnastics.

Yup! But since its a defense, its keyed off of Reaction still.

Made a few minor tweaks to The Marquis, and seeing that most of the gangers have some face skills I have beefed up his weapon handling skills. Also added a short background and description. Still need to work on the Contact info, but have put in a placeholder for these.

I don't see many areas of difficulty there, Isinghar. He's a solid guy. I just hope you don't find yourself in a situation where you need more of those skillsofts than you can have active at once. smile.gif
Thanee
Aren't those skillsofts ridiculously expensive these days?

Also, for a mere 6 BP you can upgrade to Stealth Group 3 (with no need for Shadowing skillsoft).

Looks really good.

@Digital - I think we just need you to post a finalized version of your PC and we should be good to kick start the game.

They come way down in price if you buy them in clusters, from Unwired.

I started down the skillsoft route when I was trying to add a few ranks in first aid and medicine, not because I plan on being a medic... No that is not The Marquis' style. Medicine knowledge was to know how far I can push a perp while they hang from hooks in my basement!

However did not have enough BP and then found the cluster skillsofts! So needed to make a few changes to add Skillwires and Resources to buy the skillsofts. I may still try and squeeze in Stealth group 3, and drop maybe Blades and a specialization.

I hope not to need to use them at the same time. Typically will have the Dodge and Unarmed ones active, and switch (simple action) to the others on a need by need basis.

You could always knock the stealth group down to 2 as well.

What I posted was the finalized version of Kid, eh... nothing's changed with him iirc.

Unless, that is, you were cool with the slightly downgraded social, more focus on carjacking, and him having Homeground: Aurora Warrens.

Homeground warrens is too big, it would have to be specific. Since your a subplant to this new area of the warrens, your true homeground wouldn't give you any advantages. Though you could buy it later with karma.

I did express concern with the overwhelming amount of social from most of the characters...that and the lack of much matrix support...which is fine. Though I'll reiterate. Spoof is useless without sniffer, so keep that in mind.

Carjacking will definitely be fun, but bear in mind, you guys aren't here to jack cars everyday. You're here to establish a large presense in the Warzone. And its not called the Warzone for nothing.

Hey, I'm a brutal killing machine with an axe smile.gif and I'm okay with an Assault Rifle..

That's not entirely true, but it certainly helps. You only need sniffer to sniff out traffic between two nodes so you know the commcode of the node you're going to impersonate. Its possible to have a situation where you get that commcode some other way.

True....but those ways are typically much more difficult. By the time you got the commcodes you need to spoof in the first place, you probably don't need to spoof anymore.

Agreed. biggrin.gif

I'm going to post up the introductory post tonight. I got swamped with some extra work today.
BlackHat
Pusher is close enough to finished that I am happy to call it good. The only thing I didn't address was that with CHA x2 free contacts (which I don't actually see on the front page, but Klink mentioned it), he would end up with some extra points in contacts.

If that is the case, maybe have him pick up another (2/2) drug-dealer contacts (this one specializing in BTLs, rather than real drugs) who goes by the name "Mike Roe" (micro), and a (3/3) ganger contact among the Saints, who used to look out for him pre-awakening, and who started leveraging his new abilities post-awakening.

•You will start the game with the Made Man quality, to represent your status with your chosen organization, plus get 2x charisma for contacts.

It was lumped in with the Made Man quality.
BlackHat
Ah, I see it now. Okay, then, consider those two new contacts part of the build. biggrin.gif I realize that the made-man quality also covers "the saints" as an organization, but I figured it might be nice to have a specific chummer among them, who used to know Pusher.
Isinghar
Made one last quick edit to Marquis: took Stealth 3, and lowered Blades 3 => 2; and Pilot Ground Craft 3 => 2. With extra 2 BP took Specialization: Swords.

Also added shock gloves and hardliner gloves in Gear.

Good call. did you look at teh skillsoft clusters in unwired p. 128 yet? There's some that line up pretty close to the skillsofts you've selected. Knight Errant Self-Defense and Wiksey Noir stand out immediately.
Isinghar
Yes those were the ones I purchased, as well as the DocWagon one.

I'm AFB for the next few hours, but I'll shimmy things about and post a final as soon as I get home for the Kid.
Digital Heroin
Ok, the finalized (unless someone's got another suggestion) version of Kid. He's not as charismatic as he thinks he is anymore (dropped the influence group, and shifted one point of Charisma to Willpower), but he's sneaky as hell (Stealth to 4), and a bit better with the boom boom (but not great) than before. Also dropped trustworthy, but kept a single point of "oh shit" con. Bought him some new gear, including Sniffer 2 and a sexy Radio Signal Scanner (acts as Sniffer 6) and a flavor item (a beat up old riot shield he stole off a border cop during a clash). Thoroughly re-worked his Adept powers (the most radical change). He's now able to walk into a place where he knows he's got a chance of being caught and wipe any critical knowledge right out of his skull, and I took sustenance because he's a scout, and having to only go to the little boy's room once a day is just amusing...

[ Spoiler ]

Oh, and added wee little adendum to his junkyard contact... Brakedown runs a pawn shop/junkyard now... it's where Kid goes to buy his cooler toys.
klinktastic
Looks good....I'll get a kick off post in during lunch.
