1. How far do vision enhancements work? IF use vision magnification do any of my other enhancements work at range of magnification?

Dashifen
I'm not sure exactly what you mean here. If you have vision mag, you can magnify distant images so they are clearer. Chiefly, the purpose is to circumvent range penalties in combat. If you have flare comp or some other enhancement, they would continue to work (unless damaged somehow) even if you were zoomed in.
toturi
They should stack for purposes of negating Perception modifiers.

So all vision enhancements have a range/effectiveness of from here to the horizon? Essentially line of sight?

Yup. Don't forget, all low-light and thermo are doing are using different information to generate a picture than your standard eyeballs would; low-light enhancing the contrast (for all intents and purposes) but still using visible light, and thermo using infrared instead of visible light - it's still working essentially exactly the same as normal vision does. It's only when you get into things like radar and ultrasound that you have an entirely different detection paradigm in play.
Jaid
provided they're not in a sensor package, basically yes.
Wasabi
I wonder if it should take a simple action per magnification device to zoom in on something. Hmm.
(For shooting purposes)
Tarantula
It does Wasabi.

SR4, 137. "Take Aim may also be used to line up a shot using an image magnification system (see p. 141); in this case the +1 Take Aim bonus does not apply (but range modifiers are neutralized)." Take Aim is a simple action.

Yes, keep in mind that ultrasound is only effective up to about 300 meters (1 or 2 second delay in images), and only combat effective at 30 meters(.1 or .2 second delay in images). Sound is SLOW compared to electro-magnetic radiation (light, thermo, radar)
The Jopp
The Radar Scanner is a good add-on with a range of 100 meters and depending on rating can see through concrete walls and some bunkers.
