Wushu patterns? so are you getting into a Cat Stance? Horse Stance? moving thru 18 Elbows? 7 Kicks??wink.gif

Actually 18 Elbows would work in this place, smile.gif good for making your way thru the throng of admirers.

WMS
Shadow
Actually, Tán TuÇ? (spring leg)which is more about the legs, blocking, standing, and moving, as well as some kicks. My thoughts are more of the way he walks, usining his feet and legs to block out forms on the floor.
WearzManySkins
Forms is a term that comes close that what I was taught of WuShu, patterns is unfamiliar to me.

Team Picture
Ok, here is a picture of the team at the club. Started playing with lighting.
- Bunny now has darker skin.
- Ruff's goatee is as light as its gonna get.
- Jack got a wardrobe overhaul.

Shadow
Fu's alittle thick and muscle bound, but his style is dead bang.

Who's our Face?
Aaron
That'd be Ukhetshe, or at least that was the plan last I heard. He's the big bald guy with the shades, second from the right.
Aaron
Ukhetshe makes a Negotiation Test.
[ Spoiler ]
Shadow
Aaron can you remove your sig from the IC posts, it's really disrupting to the reading of the thread, thanks.
Aaron
Yeah, I forgot. Sorry about that. I think I've got it fixed.
WearzManySkins
I do/have not see any data changing hands as of yet.

WMS
Shadow
the money sucks, but its a job, and the sooner we get through this the sooner we get to the part that goes boom. So say yes to teh job get the info and lets get on with it.
Aaron
I was thinking that incoming data should be sent to Ruff first, since he's the most likely to be able to deal with it should it include something malicious, as opposed to infecting multiple team commlinks. I reckon Ruff will send it on after that.
crizh
Is Jack not the hacker?

I thought Ruff was a discrete Street Sam...
WearzManySkins
grinbig.gif and Yes neither is Ruff, a hacker. Best software and commlink you can buy at chargen. smile.gif

Besides I am always happy to let my team mates take the first download of data. smile.gif

WMS
crizh
Well, if your going to have a commlink, might as well have the best that money can buy, yesno?
Aaron
Wait, who the heck is our hacker?

Ukhetshe indicates the hacker, then, whoever that is.
Redjack
She we get out of the disease market and begin our recon?
Ophis
Jack is a hacker mostly.
Jeremiah Legacy
Ophis: So far, your searching has yielded 2 hits. She has a small following, but not too obscure. So based on what you know, it will take 6 hits to get what you need.
Redjack
What does everyone say we rap up this meet and get on into the bulk of the legwork?
WearzManySkins
Ok by me.

WMS
Redjack
Do we have a safehouse?
WearzManySkins
Not that I am aware or told of.

Some place that serves coffee, tea, rooibos, or honeybush will work.

Besides Ruff took a cab to the meet due to the downpouring rain which was scheduled to continue well past the meet times.

Anyone still here?
crizh
Umm, yeah. I'm sure it isn't my turn tho...

I'm just following the herd at the mo'. We need to make it to someplace we can sit down and plan, do some legwork.
Redjack
Still here. Out of town working. I'll try to post later tonight or in the next two days.
Aaron
I'm waiting to find out what happens after we leave the club.
WearzManySkins
How about Johann Shultz's Chinese Dim Sum and Pizzeria, owned by Johann Shultz's Chinese Laundery. grinbig.gif

WMS
WearzManySkins
Drinking some Iced Rooibos, honeybush, spearmint tea right now. grinbig.gif

Maybe in the Morning I will have Yerba Mate and Lapacho or Pau d'Arco as it is also known, all sweetened with Stevia.

WMS
Redjack
I wrote up a post last weekend. I see now I must not have finished and posted it.... Sorry 'bout that.
I am committed to a post rate of 1+/week barring brain-farts.. biggrin.gif

Shall we kick it into gear?
crizh
Observe in Detail

Make a quick sweep of the other patrons of the restaurant for weapons and obvious 'ware and any weapons that might be concealed behind counters and the like for use by staff. Then focus my attention on the other side of the door that has the waiter so spooked. Is there anybody out there? Are they armed or cybered? Armoured, using obvious small unit tactics, etc?

Maneuver towards the bathrooms but try to keep the heaviest pieces of cover between me and the door, or at least a short 'dive' away.

'Short dive', Ha....
WearzManySkins
Psssst Crizh what part of "Do not give any visible reactions to this message or sensor feeds" is unclear to you? and yes getting up to go the bathroom is a visible reaction since I doubt you would have done that with out that information.

"Something bad is going to happen. ACT NATURAL!!!"

Kinda catch 22 really, don't you think?

Maybe I should start whistling nonchalantly as I cross the room...

No? Too much?

Hopefully he's just winding us up and Ronald McDonald will burst through the door with a birthday cake for some kid....

(I never even hinted that Bunny was any good at this sort of stuff, at least she hasn't taken the waiter hostage....)

@crizh
Point is we do not know if anything bad is going to happen, let alone to us. :grinbig:Despite what we may feel not everything revolves around us or to us. smile.gif

It could have been the Hari Krishnas seeking a donation from the waiter. smile.gif

He could have his pregnant girlfriend out side the door waiting for him to get off work, and he found out the baby is not his. smile.gif

The local Triad may have scheduled this place for their weekly session of beat the waiter. smile.gif

Until we have more information etc. Best to remain unremarkable/unremembered to the crowd. Which brings up a Detail that I over looked.

That is why he called it a Yellow Alert, meaning something out of place but no known threats to us. So thinking something bad is going to occur is premature to me at least.

I understand this may be IC for Bunny, but also remember if there is a next time, Ruff will evaluate what happens/occurs now, in that later event which could mean Bunny being excluded from similar yellow alerts transmissions.

@Jeremiah Legacy
How many persons are in this Pizzeria at the time we entered, and have the numbers shifted much since we have sat down?

GM talking here. I rarely interject myself in player/player discussions, but I feel this is appropriate; further, this is player knowledge, not character knowledge. Bunny acted perfectly within character, given her personality and history.

It was about half full, most of the people sitting in the back of the place when you arrived. Since you sat down, a few tables have emptied, and a teenage couple have entered. It seems like business is winding down.

crizh: I can draw out a map and have it ready today.

As for what's gonna happen, posted an IC post. Please read, then everyone roll initiative

Ok np. The aftermath will/could resolve this IG/IC
crizh
Precisely. It might be nothing.

It's not like I've tipped the table over and pulled out an uzi. rotfl.gif

If nothing happens Bunny goes to the loo. Worst case scenario I look like a fool with a weak bladder.

The point was to create a little mobility, add a little innocent fluidity to the tactical situation.

Thinking about it, I cannot imagine why we are all sitting together or even in the same restaurant. One well placed grenade and we're all sushi. I suppose it's difficult to shake off a 2008 mindset and really explore the possibilities of 2070's tech.

What are police attitudes towards civilian assistance in making apprehensions?

Looks like if this kid resists he's gonna end up geeked. Perhaps assisting the cop would be doing the kid a favour. Depends on how much attention that is likely to draw.

With those two elementals, and a LEO(Law Enforcement Officer) Mage, we stand aside.

If the kid attacks us we can defend ourselves in a limited manner it any.

Any attacks or assaults on the LEO and his two elementals, we will have to destroy them very quickly.

If the LEO and his two elementals directly attack us, and we can not escape/avoid/negate, again maximum damage as above.

crizh
Sorry wasn't very clear.

@Jeremiah

Knowledge: Police Procedures (4) + Logic (3): 4465325 = 3 Hits

If we intervene to subdue the kid how much scrutiny will that draw from this sort of cop? Will that vary dependant on the type of intervention? Are we of little interest to him, will we be of more interest if we appear to be more than just civilians or if the awakened nature of any of the group becomes apparent?

As civilians, your best move is to stay out of the situation as much as possible. If you intervene to subdue the kid, you are - at best - extra paperwork; at worst, you are potential hostages if you screw up. It seems that he has the situation under control.
