I had a Corpsman who liked to put a "sample" container containing apple juice on the desk top with other samples, and would take a sip from it occasionally to see the faces of those around. Until some how, it got switched with vinegar and food coloring with out his knowing. smile.gif The expression on his face and his spewing out the vinegar was beyond priceless. smile.gif

What ship type did you get assigned to? Carrier? aka Bird Farm? grinbig.gif

Bird Farm? LHA?

I was assigned to an LPD and if I had my druthers, to an LPD I would return. I got a chance to take a look at the new Austin class LPD's... Good lord those are awesome ships, even slicker looking than a DDG (until they roll out the DD(X) of course).

If I'm reading this confounded computer based orders system I just got assigned to CVN 72 out of Washington. Should be exciting even if I have to fake being a labtech for another 2 years.

What ship(s) were you on?

Bird Farm name for a Carrier.

Two Spruance-class destroyers, DD-965 Kinkaid now gone, and DD-992 Fletcher also gone now.

CVN-72 USS Abraham Lincoln

You know I actually had a friend of mine chip paint on the Fletcher before they decommed her. Small Navy eh?

I've had a blast everytime I've been on a ship and I honestly can't wait till I can leave this little rock in the Pacific and get back to wearing coveralls everyday.

But it seems a little big for me, even being on an LHA made me feel a little too ant like.

*sigh* To bad they don't need labtech's on small boys...
