Forgot one: Denver at night. And from a distance.

Whenever in-city commuter air travel is mentioned, this is what I think of. Sure looks like what was referenced in the 1st ed. Rigger Black Book.

I imagine the middle class wage slaves puttering about on the ground in one of these or one of these. Embarrassing, yes.

Those actually remind me of the old Morgan Tri-wheel. These cars were popular after WWII because they were taxed as motocyles and not cars. Peter Sellers drives one in the movie "The Party". That alone should tell you it is a silly-looking car.

Don't worry folks. Nothing to see here. Lone Star is on the job!

Sprawly high rises.

Not exactly shadowrun... but still, a giant mechanical spider on the side of a building...?

Elf Poseur #1. Yes, those ears are real.
Elf Poseur #2. Yeah, those are real too.
SURGE victim. Tom Leppard, who had leopard marks tattooed over his entire body.

There's all kinds of real-life body mod freakery out there and most of it grosses me out too much to post. Split tongues, spikes and bumps out of faces, and Coke cans through earlobes. Yick! But hey, Google away.

The British Lord Protector's Office would like a spot of tea.

Not exactly a real photo, but the NOAH is my character's new ride. Not a monocycle, by the way. There are two wheels. It can turn on the spot like a tank.

Whoa, this thread is _awesome_. I guess I'm kind of cheating too, as I took a bunch of these with with a cyberpunk theme in mind - apologies for the blurriness on some, I don't have a tripod and my cheapo digi cam is not great for night shots.

I've always been good at seeing the shadow of The City in many of the cities I've lived in and visited - even my current home, Vancouver BC ("the best place on earth") has those moments - the lights of downtown and the north shore over the bay, or the downtown east side at night (which is both creepy and depressing, although mostly just depressing)

The Burj tower in Dubai. It's what I think of when I see references to the Cord Mutual Skyraker in SR's Neo-Anarchists' Guide to North America:

The way that thing towers over the rest of the buildings would be the comparative sizes of the Renraku Arcology (minus its shape) compared to the rest of Seattle.

I've been to Potsdamer Platz. It's pretty wicked. I felt like I should be sporting a mohawk and running from some police drones when I walked through there. Got lots of pictures to satisfy my cyberpunk fancy.

Exploring the Metaplane of Earth Spirits. Actually, it's a cave full of gypsum crystals in Mexico. Still, it looks how I would imagine it.

Actually, those look like selenite crystals. Gypsum crystals are more of a flat, petal shape. Still damn impressive. Those things are all over the place in Mexico. We cave dive in the Yucatan here and there and I have seen some large ones, maybe 2x4 size but never that big. Damn...

As for inspiring pictures, how about a couple I snapped from near a friend's apartment in the Ohtaku area of Tokyo...
