Just to note, I've had a browser fubar while rolling up that block. So a whole bunch have gone through at once. (Last time I use IE for /anything/ on this bloody machine.)
Have messaged Karaden asking if I should re-do it. So my IC post may be subject to change depending on if a re-roll is required.
Apologies in advance for this.

Yellow text. Definitely yellow text.
You draw the weapon but don't get the shot that goes with it. Glitch is a drop, crit glitch is I get to have fun.
And no, rolls are fine, you beat him on virtually every one of them, you may continue to remain not reminiscent of kindergartner's favorite snack.

He is starting to slow down a bit, but he doesn't look like he is ready to go down just too soon.
He's someone from the school, not anyone you know particularly well. His name might be Greg, your not really sure.

Armed with knowladge of what a failed quickdraw roll does, will Mickle5125 ever actually do anything? Will the campaign come to a screeching halt? Will the GM simply give him the GodSmack:tm:?

Why? Its the first pass of round 2. Everyone gets to go, and he goes directly after Carson. Really you shouldn't have even done your own post yet, you kinda skipped right over him, but he still gets to go.

That's alright, it happens, and your action isn't very likely to have direct affect on what he does, nor is his action likely to have a direct affect on what you planned to do.
Just so everyone knows, after he has finally gone, Milafin and Mya get to go, then Lou gets to try and not fry himself with another Masterfully done spell. Oh, and Gres can moan in pain or something in there if he likes.

12d6 Attack, 7d6 DR (12d6.hits(5)=4, 7d6.hits(5)=4) Still no damage for Milafin, although that Attack roll was crappy.

So it's Lou and then Carson again, if I'm reading the poses and pose order correctly?
(I'm going on the assumption that Taylor is too smart to go anywhere near a brawl with Carson, although for what it's worth I'd hope he's in the crowd and looking out for teachers approaching so he can give us a warning.)

To be fair, Carson did utterly break Gres in a single blow!
Plus most of our attacks have bounced off like rain, he's definately a challenge to us (and I'd be worried if Alexei was down already in our first fight as he's in -MMO terms- the group tank).
Karaden
Oct 9 2008, 06:46 PM
True, and if Carson lands even one blow it is going to give you a few penelties to dodging his next one. On the bright side for you guys it seems as though Milafin is about to disable his wired reflexes, oh the fun!
Alexie will actually get to attack as opposed to standing there using 'taunt' on Carson to draw all the agro

I believe Mya and Milafin still get to go, then Milafin gets to go again maybe? (I forgot how many IPs VR gives to technos)
Oenone
Oct 9 2008, 06:59 PM
Three isn't it? They count as always being in Hotsim VR.
Andrensath

Yeah, technos get three passes in VR, but they can't get as good as a mundane hacker in meatspace combat.

And with the upgrades in Unwired and Augmentation they're slower than a cybered up hacker too (Without submersion grades that is) as they can hit up to five IP's.
They are however damn near impossible to detect or track, which is always a good thing when you're upto no good.

Oct 10 2008, 03:49 PM
We're now on the second IP of the round, which Carson no longer gets to be a part of. So those people who still have a second IP get to go (Alexie and Mya are the only two I think)
Little Johnson
Oct 10 2008, 04:35 PM
does being jumped in with a rig count as being in full VR for IP passes? I just want to know for future reference
Oenone
Oct 10 2008, 04:49 PM
So Alexei and Mya are in hand to hand, giving a +1 bonus? And Carson should hopefully be taking the multiple defences penalty. Lets hope this battle starts to turn in our favor!

Just to confirm that I am thinking correctly... Gres took 12 boxes of Stun which overflowed into 2 boxes of physical. Now he was healed three boxes of stun which brings him around. This leaves him 7 stun and 2 physical for a -3 dice from wounds.

Yes, I'm fairly certain it does.
@Oenone Yes, Alexie and Mya should be getting the +1 to attack for having friends in melee, and Carson has been taking his proper penalties.
@estralding. Correct on the boxes part, but only a -3 wound penalty from what I see (0 from physical, 2 from stun)

Oct 10 2008, 09:16 PM
Alexei should, by my reckoning have taken 3 boxes of physical damage from that punch, right?
(And boy am I so glad that defence roll came up high, because those punches are really really nasty and could potentially leave someone dead in one hit!)
Karaden
Oct 10 2008, 09:30 PM
Wow, very lucky roll. Yes 3 boxes sounds correct. Though in the future the friends in melee bonus counts only towards your attacks, not to your defense.
Oenone
Oct 10 2008, 09:36 PM
Actually according to this bit on P. 147 "Defenders apply dice pool modifiers according to the Defense Modifiers Table (p. 150). Some modifiers from the Melee Modifiers Table (p. 148) may apply to the defender as well."
It implies they do as the table on P. 148 is the same one which includes friends in melee, basically that table is for things which (edited in) can (edited in finishes) affect both attack and defence. But if you'd rather run with it being attacking only then sure thing!
Karaden
Oct 10 2008, 11:18 PM
I run it as being only attack for two reasons. One, it gives a double benifit/penelty for being outnumbered (And you really don't want me doing that to you) and two, the fact that the table includes either a) things that apply only to the attacker or b) things that apply to virtually every circumstance.
Oenone
Oct 13 2008, 10:44 PM
Fair enough! I'll keep that in mind for future combats.
It would have made a lot more sense if the table actually mentioned which applied to attackers only and which could apply to both. But then I think the one area Shadowrun 4th edition has had problems with is weird editing, like how some of the BBB's drugs only get a price listed for them in Arsenal......

any mojo that would make him think thats what happened? hes not too bright.
Karaden
Oct 15 2008, 03:13 AM
While his brightness does indeed rank somewhere around 'burned out light bulb' he isn't going to just suddenly start thinking he is one of your gang members. All you'd likely manage to do is confuse him (really not difficult) and/or make him mad.

How're we looking in terms of wounds now? Healed up?
If not then is anyone in the party able to do first aid? As Alexei took I think 3P from Carson which probably won't heal up by the end of the day. So whatever magic can be thrown at it would be handy. (Especially as with a crowd that big if they're not all friendly we're in trouble)

I'll let you guys post anything special you've done during the day. I'll count classes as resting for Gres so he can make 4 Body + Willpower checks to reduce his stun. He can also cast the healing spell on himself and any other injured (If the healing spell works that way, don't feel like looking it up) prior to or after doing those checks at his discretion.
