Out of curiosity, did Sam's loving wife have any recollection of him? Or did she not remember him in the same way that he doesn't remember her?

Sam's wife is a member of the project back in 1999. She's trying to find a way to get him back home. However, she requested that Al never tell Sam about her because he's such a gentleman that knowledge of his marriage would impair his ability to function in leaps where he is required to engage in sexual activities.

Sam does, however, know about his adult daughter, also a member of the project, whom he fathered during a leap. But she doesn't know that he is her biological father.

According to the episode when he and Al traded places and he does get to go back home briefly she does. (Sam forgets about her again as soon as he leaps to save Al.) Appearently she has asked Al not to remind Sam that he is married because she is afraid that he would refuse to do some of the things he has to do in order to solve each leap.

Presumably, the "real" one is the one with the equipment to match the personality, if you get my meaning. If Kathy has oompa loompas, 'she' is 'he'.

This is a neat idea, however it seems to me it requires either the PC knowing about it to play both parts (resulting not in 'mysterious' cyberware but ' really freaky' cyberware) or it requires the GM take over the PC for long period. This was done in a book, where basically the character had an alter ego who came out during sleep cycles, but it would be tough to do with a party, ESPECIALLY if they ever share a hideout. When John is caught wearing a skirt, trying to figure out how to deactivate the security system to escape this weird place he found 'herself' in, the issue will become pretty clear pretty fast.

Well the wonders of modern cyberware is that can all be pretty seamless, even size, however mass will stay the same. Besides Kathy does not need to appear all the time only when the GM needs an NPC for a while. Hints of it can be given for a while and then be turned into a plothook. The above quote for example - a mini adventure (Kathy appears in the safe house but John has gone missing. Where's John?)

A hidden compartment with a wooden falcon in it.

Two detachable cyberlegs that like playing football (soccer) late at night. Gives +6 when playing football.

Breast implants and an exotic combination of penile implant and false front should do. You could even make it a suite and high-quality 'ware to minimize detectability.

A data storage module hidden in his cyber arm that carries Lucien Cross' last will and passwords to all the secret research stuff in Cross' datastores Ares hasn't cracked yet.

That's funny. Especially if the lock is defective, so they sometimes fall (or walk) off while otherwise in use.

A pair of Puma sports legs that actually were a CybExpo demo piece and, at a keyword/key input of some kind, break into kicker mode and kick the nearest round object into the nearest vaguely goal-like object.

I have always been a big fan of the ol' "Manchurian Candidate" treatment myself. Something about picking up the phone and hearing, "John. John Smith. John Allan Smith." before the character does their foul bidding without remorse, conscience, or the will to resist only to wake up with SWAT kicking down their door, yelling about them being an armed and dangerous psycho killer or something...

Tons o' giggles, I must say. biggrin.gif

A cyber-uterus containing a famous, important, or biologically freakish fetus. Possibilities include, but are not limited to, Damien Knight's kid, Art Dankwalther's kid created using frozen genetic material, the non-ghoul kid of the PC's street doc and his/her ghoul mate implanted in the PC to reduce the risk to virus transmission, an artificially engineered dracoform, a half-metahuman/half-insect spirit kid extracted from a bug queen working for Ares, a litter harvested from a captured shapeshifter (this doesn't work if the shapeshifter is a whale, for obvious reasons) or a dead rock star's kid created using frozen sperm (I imagine that such a child could be worth quite a bit of money, if the rock star was famous enough and his death was sufficiently untimely).

The pregnancy would eventually become obvious, but that would take a few months of game-time, unless the PC is carrying something very large or something with a very short gestation period.

A dysfunctional ultrasound vision device. At random intervals, it gives out a piercing high-frequency noise, deafening those with high-frequency hearing, setting off warning lights with motion sensors, and sending all dogs within a mile radius running to him.

Ah yes. Thanks for correcting the post.

Another one: external non-standard connectors to a cyber limb. It can be anything from the mundane (factory setting port, normally covered) to the down right strange (interface to a fighter plane).

GM: You hear thumping sounds from the living room. It sounds like someone is breaking into the house. There is the sound of a vase being smashed.

Player: I go find out what is going on.

GM: as you pass into the living room. Do you ready your weapon?

Player: I pull out my gun

GM: Roll for initiative

*roll* *roll*

GM: You enter the room and roll dodge

*roll*

GM: Okay the soccer bal just misses your head by a few inches....

Player: I shoot at the assailants.

GM: you shoot at the silhouettes you see, hitting one and missing the other.

Player: I rush over and put the other in an arm lock

*roll* *roll*

GM: well you don't have it in an arm lock but in a leg lock.

Player: I use AR to turn on the lights.

GM: Right you are on the ground with Mike's right cyberleg in a vice his other cyber leg is next to you still slightly moving. It looks like it is bleeding. Mike calls out from the other room. "Where the hell are my legs?!"

Also: Revolver Ocelot's arm, slowly taking over your body. That would be mysterious bioware, though, I suppose.
