Yes, but I'm buying Capsule Rounds with DMSO/Gamma, not just the Chemical in the capsule. The whole package not just part of it.
|
the problem is that the big cost of the item is still chemical, not ammo based. Hence connected Weapons and Ammo wouldn't help. You would need connected chemicals to get the Gamma at less then SI price. Personally, I would say you need Connected: Chemicals and atleast a Gunsmithing contact to make the rounds. Still going to cost a pretty penny (even with SI eliminated, it's 321 per shot) |
I buy the ammo from my Connected source. I do not care HOW he gets those capsule rounds filled with DMSO/Gamma as long as he get them for me cheap. I want to buy Ammo, not just some Chemical. If I am buying just DMSO/Gamma, I'll need Connected: Chemicals, but I'm buying the whole package.

I'd have to say that its a GM call on that one. I can see how it would go either way.

No. Just no. You may run across a nice GM, but... no.

but.... yes.

I'd allow it. If someone wants Connected: Skillchips Enchanted As Fetishes Dipped In Acid, it's fine by me. I don't see why the type of merchandise has to fit into easily defined one-word categories.

Wait, you mean to imply that there's another type of GM?
Heresy!

If cap roundsd filled with chemicals is a big deal, then all the guards and npcs are going to start having clothes that are chemically sealed, and auto injectors with atrophine in them.
Just like bullets are a big deal so everyone has armored clothes. Point being, it's only a problem if you don't know how to handle it.

CC pg 38 the cost for capsule rounds represents rounds filled with a nontoxic, nondangerous material (paint, ink or dye). For capsule rounds filled with toxins or compounds, adjust the Cost, Availability and Street Index as appropriate for the chemical |
The chemical inside can dictates the cost, avail, and street index, therefor it would take Connected: Chemicals to lower said Street Index for Capsule Gamma rounds.

THAT was the quote I was waiting for.
It would seem only Sidekick passed.

BUT the availability for those chemicals is not too high. And the price is okay, especially if you have a chemical shop and the right skills (or connections).
Gamma: 8/2 weeks, 300

, SI 3
Narcoject: 3/48 hours, 150

, SI 1 (Legal)

I've actually yet to have a munchkin use capsule rounds.. Most of mine are still satisfied with supersquirts with DMSO and various carcenogens..

True, but when you've got Hardened armor with ratings in the teens, that next initiative round isn't too difficult to reach..

Hopefully it takes longer than that for the target to succumb to the effects of carcinogens!

In any game I have ever seen if you have hardened armor at all, or god help you need to use it, you are already so far over the Screwed County Line that you don't even remember what the line looked like when you passed it. That's a game ending scenario. Full military hardware. Bring that out in anything resembling public and you will feel the full wrath of god bring down the PC's
