--What is the character's name?

Edgar Michael Thomas. He hasn't used that name since He joined a Special tactics squad in 2048 (he was 23). He's gone by Jasper for so long that its become more real than his birth name.

--What is the characters race, nationality, age, sex, height, weight, hair color, eye color, and skin color/tone, and build?

He was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the usual north American mutt, mostly Irish and and and Portuguese with a smattering of Japanese and Cherokee. Raised in the CAS he got a good southern tan. At the age of forty five, his brown hair is turning grey and he's getting a good beer gut. 4'10" and 160lbs = kinda fat.

--Where did your character learn his/her skills?

He grew up racing beat up cars and four wheelin with friends. When he joined the army they took advantage of that and trained him along that track.


--What did your character do before becoming a runner?

his short stature and southern drawl made for an unassuming personality, he got drafted into a new military project that utilized him for unorthodox wet works utilizing engineering instead of combat prowess."happy little accidents". (When maintenance fixes your car or your elevator, look for the little black box)

--Does your character have any family?

He has an Alcoholic father and a saint of a mother that think he died 22 years ago. Doesn't want to make their lives any worse. Jasper is also hoping the army hasn't dragged them into the search for him since he went AWOL, but he can't risk the visit home.


--What are your characters dreams/goals/aspirations?

He has this one dream where SINderella is licking jack Daniels out of his chest hair, but hey, he's a lonely old man. Right now he's in survival mode. trying to get a safer place to hide out, get some better gear to defend himself. One day he imagines a little compound out in the woods where he can fish, drink, tinker in his garage, and maybe even find a little woman to cook for him. I mean how much could the Army care about an over the hill rigger anyway.

--What is the characters general appearance?

You ever have a car break down in "the middle of nowhere" and pull into the only garage for miles? You seen the guy that comes out to greet you? you notice how he's up to his eyeballs in grease even though there is obviously no other customers around? He's that guy. Old ball cap and safety glasses. sweaty and greasy 90% of the time. coveralls and work boots. his second chin looks like a bean bag chair for his face. his arms kinda stick out at the side because of his round shape. and unless you're a dwarf he's probably eye level with your nipples.

--Why did they choose to be a shadow-runner?

Gotta make the money. not gonna get honest work. he helped out at a chop shop for a while until he could get himself a truck. now he's moving up from crazy taxi, to small time smuggler, to doing some serious runs. Its hard to get used to the civilian tech, and his age isn't helping. so he's been knocked down quite a few pegs.


--What is the characters personality?

A little nihilistic, a little apathetic, a little lonely. but he has a rough, relaxed, and upbeat exterior. He doesn't take things too seriously and has a blunt sense of humor. (think Foghorn Leghorn if you get that reference)

--What skills does your character bring to this group? What makes them special?

He can drive better that just about anyone. you ride shotgun in his tata hotspur, you're probably getting away. also, he's pretty good with a toolbox, almost any toolbox. I think he adds a little bit of an "out of the box" option to have around. And like the military told him people aren't always expecting the dirty, short, fat man to kill them.

--What are some things your character cannot do?

Jasper can't jump or go toe to toe with trolls in swat gear. he can't sit through church or give elocution lessons. doesn't know the first thing about magic. He can't see his toes. He can't go a week without a beer. he can't play the guitar. he can't speak a second language(although he's been meaning to learn. typical confederate American) And he can't find a woman that can cook and put up with his jokes

--What does your character hate and why?

Arrogant special forces types. The military. civilians. Chinese food(it tears him a new one). cheap tools. Wine drinkers. neck ties. running out of beer. people that hack his network. Men crying. women crying. spam. torture(when used on him). Texas barbecue. befriending people just to kill them. talking politics. short jokes (fat jokes don't bother him)

--What does your character love?
North Carolina barbecue. Smooth operations. the sound of a clean engine. cold beer on a hot day. cold beer in general. a good screwgun. new cars. old cars. good jokes. old ball caps. dogs. racing. a good card game with friends. surprising the enemy in fun ways. lots of options.

smart tactics. magic users. loyalty. people that hold their liquor. people that keep thier word.

Homeschooled until he went into the military

--What is your characters moral code?

he's sick of killing for very little reason. he's still working on where to draw the line now that he's done it for so long. but when push comes to shove, all is fair in love and war. he's a believer in survival.

--Does your character have any political beliefs? Religious?

He's loosley Christian, and as he gets closer to the end of his life, it seems to come up more often. he's done with politics

--What item(s) does your character treasure?

every drone and vehicle he names. if you mention dorothy, he might cry.

--Tell me at least one thing I (as the GM) should know about your character.

Jasper misses having a tight knit team he considered friends. he hopes to have that again. But he trusts no one and usually has his drones scripted to kill anything that moves if his biomoniter goes dead and they don't hear from him in 30 seconds. hopefully he'll get to know smeone well enough to share the passkey.

2044: SINless in Seattle, Alice is born in a poor neighborhood of Snohomish.
2058: She quits school and begins to roam about the streets of Seattle, trying to join gangs and to stay out of trouble.
2065: She joins the Klashers, a new gang on the streets.
2068: She begins a career of shadowrunning as a covert ops specialist.
2070: Current day, ready for more action.

Alice was born from a human father and an elven mother who lived, sometimes together, in extreme poverty. Her parents were both junkies and did what they could to make money, spending it rarely on food, mostly on drugs. Alice saw more of her mother, who was a prostitute, than her father, who did odd jobs for criminal syndicates and gangs, and her father died when she was 12. She has had a couple of half brothers from her mother\\\'s side but they weren\\\'t close.

At age 14, Alice quit school and started to spend all of her time on the streets. She quickly understood that her best asset was her relative beauty. Dating a man or another granted her access to a better lifestyle and a better status. Unashamed to use her body as a way to improve her situation ��‚��€œ even witnessing men fight for her love more than once -, she was in that way similar to her mother, even though she wasn\\\'t exactly a prostitute herself.

As time passed on, she began to realize how agile she was, and that she really had a special gift with weapons ��‚��€œ something of more interest than her gift in bed. She practiced extensively the use of pistols, the most commonly available weapon within gangs. She began to make a name for herself for something different than her good looks and she greatly enjoyed that feeling.

When she joined the Klashers, at 21 years of age, she had already become a good fighter, both with pistols and implanted spur. It took her only a few months to seduce the charismatic gang leader, Zach the Fridge, a huge orc who kept control with his dominating figure and a good dose of violence. She actually liked the guy, and that surprised her to an extent. He was strong and powerful and people obeyed him and paid him respect. Being his girlfriend gave her a lot of privileges, and she gathered a lot of money this way, which she used entirely to get cyber-improvements for herself from a friendly street doc, Wendy. She proved to be a very good asset for Zach and the Klashers. Although she did not participate much in the money-making activities of the gang, she had a deadly shot with a pred and she could cover her leader\\\'s (and boyfriend\\\'s) back in a fight easily. Even though they were useful to one another, their love was real and even grew with time. They both knew that they were unfaithful, but that didn\\\'t bother either of them.

Her skills continued to improve and she managed to get herself wired reflexes, giving her an edge that is hard to overcome in the Barrens. She was also getting some attention from outside sources. Two years ago, she met with a fixer for the first time. He had approached her because he had heard of her potential from gang crime syndicate contacts. He was pleased to discover that she had very good abilities, and he helped her grow into somewhat of a covert ops specialist. To that end, he thought her extensively about electronics and corporate security measures. She greatly enjoyed the challenges of running the shadows and recently decided to make it her main activity, spending a lot less time with the Klashers, yet sticking to her relationship with Zach. She enjoyed the income and made sure to spend it on ��‚��œware and equipment, to become even better at her job, which is in between covert ops specialist and sammy, being able to do both quite effectively.

A very pretty girl, Flash looks young even for her age, and most non-elves think she\\\'s human upon first seeing her. Her skin is smooth and slightly tanned. She dies her hair red like fire, from a natural copper color, and she wears them relatively short. Her blue eyes are deep and sensual. She isn\\\'t very tall, and has a slim figure, but she\\\'s none the less very fit. Her right arm and back are tattooed with native runic encryptions of ravens, rats and other typical icons.

Flash likes to wear a variety of clothes and to disguise herself, thus her appearance varies depending on her moods. On runs, she will typically wear her dark brown armour jacket, black leather pants and high heel boots. That is unless she sees an advantage for rather choosing her chameleon suit. She often covers her face as well, that way she can use the trick of taking off her mask when she has to deal with unexpected and unsuspecting men, playing the card of the charming and sexy spy.

What she looks like with her usual haircut

Flash loves to get attention. Since her young age, she always had to go out of her way to get even the raise of an eyebrow from her junky parents. Since then, she has always seeked attention. She takes great pleasure in the games of seduction especially, and she tends to attribute all the successes to herself whenever possible. She is confident and strong, mentally, having grown up in a very rough neighbourhood and in a difficult situation. She tries to enjoy life, but what really brings the best in her is going right into action, and finding ways to really matter within a team. That way people talk about her afterwards, and this is of extreme importance to her.

Flash\\\'s morality is defined by her experiences on the streets. She believes in the kind of code that gangs follow, and she is a loyal person once you\\\'ve gained her trust - but that trust can be hard to gain. She has no qualms whatsoever about killing someone ��‚��€œ they all deserve it in some way anyway, especially corp types who should know better ��‚��€œ but she will avoid getting the team or herself into trouble at all costs. She tries hard to be a professional in the shadows, but she often cannot hide her ganger background and street education.

Flash had gone out for dinner at a local joint, with a bunch of friends from the Klashers, including her boyfriend Zach, the leader of the street gang. Walking back on their turf in the western part of the Redmond Barrens, they wore their colors proudly and defiantly. Squatters, punks and prostitutes looked away and hid at their passage. The Klashers were in charge around here and no one would defy them, espcially not with Zach the Fridge present. The Klashers had to stay on top in this sprawl, but they weren\\\'t merciless bastards either, they had a code and people knew that. If you obeyed them, you would always stay out of trouble and you could usually even count on their protection.

In this crowd, Flash often passed unnoticed. She was just another following gang-member and a very small one too. Gangers were feared and despised, yet respected ��‚��“leaders of the community��‚��, but she could often be ignored ��‚��€œ sometimes even tested. She was a lot stronger then she looked, of course, in reality the very best warrior the gang had. When it came down to a fire-fight, they knew they could prevail if Flash was there. She liked to remain anonymous though, because with her recent occupation as a shadowrunner she didn\\\'t want to attract any attention to herself.

Arrived home with Zach, she smiles to the two guards in front of their house before going in. The security was tight around the leader of the Klashers, and this extended to his house, and sometimes his girlfriend too. It was necessary considering all the neighbouring gangs that might one day try to take on the Klashers.

Once inside, Flash turned up the speakers of her cutting edge sound system to blast very loud heavy metal. The walls changed to bright red with orange and black flames to accompany the music. They had amongst the best entertainment equipment accessible to one who lives in such a poor location, which served the purpose of showing their success and also their confidence of being in control. However, the furniture was always arranged in such a way that they could find cover easily from almost any position, in case intruders would come. They were always ready for a fight and this was especially true of Flash.

She got up the stairs to the bedroom and stripped down naked, flirting while doing so, even after all these years. ��‚��“We\\\'re still going to the Furious Cop-Killers show like you promised me, right Zach?��‚�� -��‚��“Of course, sweetie, we are, but there\\\'s something I need to take care of before we leave.��‚��

She put on her coolest rocker clothes, with spikes and chains, and started to arrange her hair also. When she walked down the stairs, she saw three large men holding a troll tight and Zach was interrogating him. ��‚��“You\\\'ll tell me who sold you this drek or I swear to god, I\\\'ll pull your eyes off your skull, you hear me frackhead?��‚�� The troll didn\\\'t seem like he was going to talk, although he did look very afraid.

Flash was annoyed at the situation so she pulled out her spur and walked up to the troll, putting pressure on his neck which started bleeding. ��‚��“You better tell Zach what he needs to know or I\\\'m going to get really angry. We\\\'re in a hurry here, so start talking.��‚�� -��‚��“It\\\'s.. it\\\'s..��‚�� -��‚��“Yes, go on!��‚�� -��‚��“I think it\\\'s Smelly Joe and his guys.. but I swear I was sure they were with you.. I swear..��‚��

Zach told his men to beat him up good and break his legs before letting him go. ��‚��“I better not see your face around here ever again, and tell them that stands for every one of them too.��‚��

When Alice was finally alone with Zach, in the car driving out of Redmond, she smiled to him lovingly. ��‚��“You should have waited until we were back before taking care of that, we could have missed the first part of the show.��‚�� -��‚��“Don\\\'t worry love, I\\\'ll make it up to you.��‚��
