I suppsoe you'd need to invest heavily in deflection spells or the combat sense power to represent the deflection ability.

Just from a "canonical" perspective, there should be at least a couple levels of "combat sense" to every "Jedi" no matter how non-combat-oriented, given certain comments in the movies. Qui-gon Jinn tells Anakin's mother "He can see things just before they happen; That's how he seems to have such fast reflexes. It's a Jedi trick." That one alone suggests that it's pretty common, but Masters Yoda and Obi-wan Kenobi repeatedly coach Luke Skywalker about how he should pay attention to the environment around him through the Force and use that information for defense. That sounds a LOT like Combat Sense.

On the flip side, "Clouded by the power of the Dark Side, our powers have become" Master Yoda confides referring to the inability of anybody in the Jedi Order to have felt even a hit of the return of the Sith prior to Episode II. That sounds an awful lot like Cloak, doesn't it? Good thing to tuck into any Sith disciple you plan to create.
