You don't need clean metabolism or sleep regulator. If you think you don't sniff again. lol

Move By Wire?
Really?

*steps back quietly, so as to not dirsturb Stahl*

You crazy.
CanRay
Cat Eyes (Get rid of these damned glasses!), Math SPU, Attention Co-Processor, Voice Modulator, Clean Metabolism, Dietware, Orthoskin with Smart Insulation (I live in "Winter-peg"), Datajack, and a Cyberspur (Again, I live in Winnipeg).

Get rid of Orthoskin and the 'Spur for folks who don't like in a place like I do. nyahnyah.gif

Good for you.
MBW is perfect for twitch gaming skills.
Also, built in skillwires that allow me to play every game instantly.
Furthermore, a more or less auto pilot for my own body to do some stuff while i am still waking up late in the evening ^^

Oh, I forgot the most important part:

Tailored Pheromones

I would go with shock hand over spurs. Less lawsuits when you take someone down and fun at parties.

Do female gamers actually need those?
I always assumed they had a +6 social modifier when dealing with other gamers.

Yeah, but you have to hit someone with the Shock in order for them to take notice. You can snap out the Spur and, hopefully, scare the person into not fighting at all.

Anyhow, this is Winnipeg, both would be considered "weapons" as far as the police are concerned when it comes to civilians. Equal in the eyes of the law.
Doc Chase
Skillwires and a Pilot Groundcraft autosoft should be standard for STL drivers. nyahnyah.gif

I'd take Cat Eyes or Cybereyes with the LL/Thermo/VisionMag/VisionEnh/Flarecomp package, a half cyberleg on the right side, and a cybershotgun. biggrin.gif The commlink's more than enough for me for carrying my gaming swag.

I am sure they feel the same way about victom and victomizer

Actually, I assumed that this thread was about Cyber/Bioware mandatory for gamers. And truth be told, the world would be a better place if everyone had tailored pheromones and clean metabolism wink.gif
TommyTwoToes
And no one put in for penile implant (or for the same X2).

Datajack and imagelink for me, I want to be able to call up all my books in AR.

But I'm perfect, that wouldn't be a problem.... twirl.gif

In all honesty though, I can be bothered to shower and use deoderant. More realistically I would take

Wired Reflexes, Datajack, Attention Coprocessor... and that's it aside from a snazzy commlink.
CeeJay
Just wondering that nobody mentioned toxin extractors and nephritic screen yet... smile.gif

Incredibly important if you want to be able to drive home after gaming.

with those you would never get drunk or caffiene would have no effect. That would suck.
hobgoblin
sleep regulator and cybereyes (been a glasses user all my life).
Warlordtheft
Internal commlink. Math SPU, tailored phermones, cybereyes with a laser range finder and smartlink, cyberears with select sound filter, MBW (if you play those kinds of games).

More than likely have a tac net in my commlink (for paintball and TTWG). Also if paintball is included:dermal sheathing or orthoskin.
Doc Chase
Oh, I'd slap an agent onto the commlink, and an Attention Coprocessor would be nice so I could chat with my Virtual Girlfriend, play tabletop, and play the MMOs at the same time.
CanRay
How much you guys want to bet that even Virtual Girlfriends would still be heavily against gaming with the guys? frown.gif

I'm 100% certain that a taser and a knife are quite different where assault charges are concerned. Namely the addition of 'with a deadly weapon'.

As for implants, well, more or less what others have said. No need for eye mods though, which is good, because I get super freaked out about things getting near my eyes, so don't know that I'd do well getting my eyes replaced... then again, I'd be unconscious.

Think I'll start a general implants thread instead of gaming specific one, might be more interesting.

But even if the game's crooked, sometimes it's the only game in town. biggrin.gif

Yeah, well, the Mounties proved that a taser is a lethal weapon. frown.gif

And let's just not go there any longer.

I can see the reason for a showy weapon like spurs. Orthoskin is useful for surviving attacks from angry gamers. Half full 2 litter bottles of soda can hurt!

I have metal dice. In a chain mail dice bag.

I've scared my group with it. Then again, I scare my group with a lot of what I have and know...
LurkerOutThere
Move-by-wire - I'm already twitchy and in pain from a spinal injury, might as well get it replaced.
Cybereyes - Correction to 20/20 and other helpful mods without glasses or contacts? Sign me up.
Cyberears -Yes please, plus good for hearing over the crowded gaming hall.
Internal Comlink
Encephelon
Logic Boosters
Neurosis
Attention Coprocessor and especially Math SPU. Needed very much.

I might add vocal range enhancer, sound filters, enhanced hearing and echolocation (just for navigating in the dark)

Have fun with the side effects. Seems to me that being better at Modern Warfare 2 isn't worth uncontrollable muscle tremors and long term neurological damage.

But, like always, your mileage may vary. Some people take Halo more seriously than others, heh.

Fuck Halo, fuck Camper Strike, Fuck Modern Warfare.

They've almost fixed that 4th ed he'll be fine.

I would stick cyber in the eye and pray I awaken and take most of it as adept powers. I'd just rather have magic than cyber. If I had the choice I'd be a mystic adept over any thing else. They might be a bit below par in game but IRL that versatility is a huge plus.
Kruger
I dunno if 4e not mentioning TLE really translates to fixing it or they just decided to remove the game mechanic as being too punitive for the scope of the game. Augmentation is horribly underwritten like many SR4 source books, but it does still mention MBW as being "sometimes debilitating to biological subjects" in addition to describing the muscle tremors so TLE still exists. It's just not quantified as rules anymore.

From the descriptions of TLE it just sounds horrible. The edginess and fatigue described of leaving wired reflexes on all the time is nothing compared to that. And WRs have on/off switches. MBW does not. So you get the seizures, muscle tremors, and the edginess with no ability to ever turn it off. No thanks, lol.
Stahlseele
This only happened if you used the Cyber/Bioware Stress Level Rules.
And after those rules, nobody would play anything but an awakened . .
