That's interesting, and not at all what Running Wild states. In that text, you must have a magic of at least 1 to have any paranormal powers. So if you drop a dragon's magic to 0 they lose their Hardened Armor, since that's a paranormal power.

EDIT: And Granit Skin is useless unless you have a magic rating. And there's at least one critter with Hardened Armor with no magic.

Yes, and it gives Hardened Armor which is a paranormal power, and it must have a Magic Rating to work, as per Paranormal Powers from Running Wild. So if you don't have a Magic Rating and you take Granite Shell, you just wasted 15 BP. If you drop a F12 Mana Static on a Great Dragon, they lose their Hardened Armor 20 (assuming the Great's magic is 12, that is).

Personally I think it's a load of guff that you need a magic attribute to have armor comparable to a drone. But that's just me. Mystic Armor yes. That should blink out when you slam on background count, but not hardened armor.
