Haven't been able to read much on the Shedim, save for what is in Street Magic, any other supplementals? Can anyone tell me about them?

They are spirits that raise the bodies of the dead. They came out of the Washington Rift when Ghostwalker popped out. There are two kinds regular and Master (M capitalized to show how badass they are). They can be found in Year of The Comet and Threats 2 for more info. Master can summon and control regular Shedim. IIRC Shedim is Hebrew for ghost.

Actually in hebrew, Shed mean Demon.
Shedim is plural for Shed.

Apparently they look amorphous?

On the astral plane yes. On the physical they look like whatever corpse they happen to be possessing. Here's the wiki article. http://wiki.dumpshock.com/index.php/Shedim

I forget where it's mentioned, but some sort of organized Shedim group in the Middle East is mentioned in one of the sourcebooks. Apparently they trade with metahumans in that area, towards furthering some end-goal of the Master controlling them. IMHO, they're a pretty good source of some magic-related shenanigans. No one really knows what sort of schemes the Masters are up to.

What about a concept behind Angels and Demons, granted the SR/ED universe shy's away from this, by my table likes the "close to home" feel of things.

Minor Horrors would be nearer the mark.

They're a way to make your mages less prone to astral projection with their bodies in non-warded areas.

Conspiracy theory (probably false, but that could be used by a GM): They're Ghostwalker's minions, doing his black operations so that he can do "very bad things" without getting a really bad reputation... Or the other way around.

if you want to introduce them to your group, try this: Runners get hired to extract a corpse from a morgue (place and security easily adjustable). While arriving there's lots of chaos in the neighbourhood with some LS troops already in place and more heavier troops on the way: A Master Shedim broke magical security of the morgue and sent his minions into the corpses, which are now all over the place. Runners have to keep low profile, so LS keeps not noticing them, they have their hands full anyway. Yet Runners have to find their running corpse. And there's the time factor until the HTR arrives...
You can do so many funny things here as a GM biggrin.gif
