Agreed.

"Rocks fall, everybody dies" may be funny as a sideline comment. It's not in a game.

It'll be pretty damn funny in the D&D game I'll be running. Its a section of the module where I went, "Oh. Ooohh... Oh god!" as I read it.
(Notably it's not insta-kill, it just has the potential to be)
There's other, meaner, sections that made me laugh maniacally. vegm.gif

Hm... did that really sound like that?

Nah, i meant: consequences follow. It is never just: Someone shoots you, you die. My point is: if you are "invincible" and just play to slaughter: you make enemies. If you are not careful: you leave a trail. If you are not secretive: You will be found. If you are dangerous: You will be taken care of.

That just realisticly leads to someone waiting at a place you frequent with the plan to quietly shoot you, or maybe blow you up. Maybe you survive that, maybe not... but you ALWAYS had the choice.

It isn't always depending on that ONE good roll... but also what your way through the world is. You can be punished for PAST MISTAKES (or just unpopular choices). I wouldn't want to play in a game where it isn't so.

Dakka Dakka
With that I agree.
