Passing for now. I haven't had the opportunity to see the whole thing, but based on the previews, and information from those who have see the whole system, SR5 takes a bounding leap in a direction I do not like, towards a game I am simply not interested in playing.
I know people who will get one, the other, or both, so I'll definitely get to see the whole thing pretty quickly. But I'm certainly not paying money just so I can find out how much I dislike it.

I'll get the PDF as soon as it's available, and the same goes for the hardcover. I'm waiting for information on the limited edition before I decide if I'll get it or not. I hope it's really nice, and I hope it gets the first round of errata.

In hind sight I realized I kept too closely to the original song for that bit and should have gone with 5 POUNDS of dice

APDS used to be cheaper than EX rounds, and was far superior to them. Due to the behavior of vehicular armor and Hardened Armor, 3 points of armor is better than the approximately 1 point of DV that it can be expected to soak.
